The Greyhound & Rock Hill Garage, Bromsgrove.

Many people will recall The Greyhound Public House, which originally started off as The Greyhound Inn, but people may not realise that next to the Greyhound was Rock Hill Garage, with a fascinating view of how it changed over the years to its ultimate demise.

I don't know exactly when the Greyhound Inn was built, but it can be seen in Ordnance Survey maps dating back to 1883.
We also have a brief look at St Peters Church at the bottom of Rock Hill which was built between 1859 and 1861. It is Grade II listed with the mother of J R Tolkien buried in the Graveyard.

Used to own bridge cottage just before the garage , by the looks of things im glad i moved shocking over development and poor design

Thanks for your comment - it's all gone a little mad in a desire to build new homes, which I know are needed, but it appears they are planned with little thought.
There are plans to put an island at the junction of Rock Hill & Fox Lane, and a few more houses on the land once occupied by The Greyhound.
I have objected every step of the way - but everything falls on deaf ears!
