Robin Singh has to be the most underrated and limited cricketer (apparently not as naturally gifted as were people like sachin) but he has to be one of the most selfless, hardworking and gritty people who played in 90s and 2000s. Someone you could bet on to bat for your life. He was a through gentleman and a team player...great tactician too... Watched it live at Bombay. Former captain Muhammad Azhar ud din was not picked for this tournament. Perhaps this was the reason, Indian bowling could not stop two swashbuckling innings in that tournament, one from Saeed Anwer's 194 and other from Jayasuriya's 140.
Rahul Dravid played very slow 61runs of 103 balls atleast 40 runs less otherwise team score would have been 250+ 260+ runs. But still we would have lost the match due to one and only Sanath Jayasuriya. Those days Srilankan team chased any target much much before 40th over that too against India coz Indian odi bowling line up were extremely pathetic.
