Loved this soooooo much! Thanks for the response video - that’s what this community is all about! Also, when I heard that F-Zero music, I was instantly transported back. Pretty sure that was my first video game EVER!
@@femtrooper Oh man, with you being a big Super Nintendo kid back in the day it likely was! F-Zero was a launch title iirc. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Whenever I am looking for comfort games, it has to be Super Metroid and Donkey Kong Country 2. Heck, if I am being real, my favorite comfort game might just be "listening to the DKC2 sound track" which is a masterpiece all on its own. As far as why, it is pure nostalgia. Super Metroid was the first game I learned to speed run, and DKC2 was the platformer I spent the most time with because I wanted to listen to its sound track in an era before downloading or streaming music was an option. Aquatic Ambience, the underwater track for that game, can almost instantly put me in a relaxed coma in about 3 notes.
@@chadmiller4976 Dude both Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 have INCREDIBLE soundtracks! Sonic 2 just barely didn’t make the cut for the same reasons you choose Super Metroid. It’s a game I’ve played so many times and ended up learning some speedrun strats for over the years (mostly so I can skip Metropolis Zone 🤣)
I've sunk so many hours into Minecraft, and it's definitely one of those perfect cozy games to play when you wanna zone out and get lost in your own thoughts, haha. Amazing list guys! 🎉
Great video, bro! Love the idea too. My list would be the likes of: 1. Animal Crossing 2. Legend of Zelda (NES) 3. Mario Kart 8 DX 4. WWE 2K24 (just taking time creating EVERYTHING in the vast creation suite is relaxing) 5. Pokemon Red/Blue
@@zeroXshinobi I’ve never actually played those games, but I remember an old coworker of mine being absolutely OBSESSED with them! Are they kind of similar to the After Burner games? I heard the storylines in some of them are really well done as well.
A hard agree with Stardew Valley. Some parts of the game can be stressful, but it’s so relaxing to play. #2 and #3 for me are Morrowind and Skyrim, just for the exploration. Playing Morrowind feels like going home for me.
What are some of YOUR comfort games?
Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth
@ Ooo I’ll have to check this one out! What kind of game is it!?

@@TheAgingGamer Great picks dude! Glad you enjoyed the video. I had a friend who used to be addicted to the original Animal Crossing 🤣
@ oh man, i’ve put so many hours in every single Animal Crossing game. Its nuts. 😂
My top comfort game has to be ace combat 2. Great game to play anytime.

@@EverydayMick Man I love that feeling in a game! Great picks!

It’s a little distracting. =)
