Leprosy is more than just white spots of skin- it is epidermal necrolysis, in which your skin rots and falls off. So, there's definitely a difference between leprosy (skin is falling off!) and just having white skin. In the history of the Bible, the Israelites and Jews are scattered over and over again, some starting as soon as 721 BC when the Assyrians invade and capture the 10 tribes in the Northern nation of Israel. I have been reading Deuteronomy chapter 28 since I was a child. My tension span was shorter then as it is today. However if we look at history outside of this chapter, our race is the only race that has suffered from what the Book has depicted because of the sin of our ancestors in the Bible. Jackson, I don't think that we have the historical records to show why the ban was placed. I do believe, however, that the racist beliefs of the time rubbed off on the LDS people, this influenced their interpretation of scriptures. Most people found "rationalizations" for the ban based on their incorrect scriptural interpretations. It is possible that even if the ban was inspired that it went on for longer than intended. People held on to their bigotry and their incorrect interpretations.

Donald Harrison you do realize that the current bible contains MAYBE 50% of what it did originally right? Many simple and clear truths were taken out, and that’s what we have. Important to notice that the song of solomon is a set of writings where he's not writing as himself in some parts of it. There's parts of it that clearly only make sense when written by women and we know Solomon married many "strange women" as in foreigners. Namely an egyptian princess and other royalty from other neighboring countries. So the whole thing of not being sure Solomon was black based on the verses he uses is perfectly valid.

The wicked rule the earth now under Satan's dominance but when the Messiah returns, after judgment, things will be put in order and TMH's people will rule, righteously. I have been reading Deuteronomy chapter 28 since I was a child. My tension span was shorter then as it is today. However if we look at history outside of this chapter, our race is the only race that has suffered from what the Book has depicted because of the sin of our ancestors in the Bible. So I did my comparison and more research to know it is facts and not lies. We cannot convince ppl about the truth, we can pray for them and share the scriptures but we cannot force them for drink. We have to continue to serve God by doing His work as He continue to work through us to touch His children.

Jackson, I don't think that we have the historical records to show why the ban was placed. I do believe, however, that the racist beliefs of the time rubbed off on the LDS people, this influenced their interpretation of scriptures. Most people found "rationalizations" for the ban based on their incorrect scriptural interpretations. It is possible that even if the ban was inspired that it went on for longer than intended.
