The reason the Koreans are so pissed off is he was messing with the statue of a 13 year old girl. They were called comfort girls. The Japanese would come and take girls to be used in their brothels as comfort girls. That's why people are so pissed off. He did shit in Japan and they charged him but allowed him to pay a fine and leave and not come back. Korea saw that as well.
South Korea isn't that tolerant. They are that afraid of being charged by the government.

He got his ass kicked in Japan too for repeatedly saying Hiroshima and Nagasaki and threatening to bomb the country. He is an absolute menace to society! What if we decide we don’t want him back in the USA? Can’t all the countries in the world decide we want him sent to some remote island all by himself? 😂

They can definitely lockup an American if he is committing a crime in their country. Anytime North Korea or Russia have released prisoners back to the US it’s been after negotiations between the countries and a lot of times it takes awhile for the negotiations to work. Probably the only reason North Korea released the college student I think you are referring to fairly quickly back to the US is because he went into a coma after they sentenced him and he died shortly after being returned to the US. When that WNBA player was imprisoned in Russia the US had to do a prisoner exchange with Russia to get her back and we traded a Russian arms dealer we had imprisoned in the US to get her back. Johnny Somali deserves whatever the South Koreans give him. He has been terrorizing all these other countries for too long

in my personal opinion they didnt go far enough... south korea is going the right direction by not backing down due to the fact that hes a US citizen(somehow) and actually punishing him for serious crimes that hes committed INSIDE of south korea. the list is pretty long and honestly, 29 years isnt really that long compared to the list of shit hes done there...
