Still sad to think that cameraman Ron is gone. Still sometimes forget that he is gone whin i am looking for his videos. He will never be forgotten 😢😢😢❤
I have seen plenty of fishermen out there but this is the first time I have seen anyone catch something! You are the best in the biz. Good to know there are fish out there lol
I had a neighbor in Pensacola that introduced me, as a ten-year-old girl, to surf fishing, pier fishing and bridge fishing in that area. It's come to represent some of my best childhood memories! I get so nostalgic watching your love for fishing.😢 Living in Michigan now, but would love to make a trip to Pensacola with my daughter and go fishing with you in my old stomping grounds! I could share some good fishing stories 😀
Love and respect to you and your family. I understand the sentiment. I grew up fishing lake Michigan 40 years ago. Now a true blown Floridian. But i get your nostalgia. Aaa, good times! ❤
Hello from Clearwater Florida. 👍🌴 I’m with you keeping the speckle trout…..I bring them home over 20” if they bleed. You threw the best part of the speckle trout away! Fried speckle trout fish row is delicious. Egg wash, roll them in corn meal and fry them just when the oil starts warming up….if you put them in hot grease, enjoy cleaning up. 😂 they explode! Speckle trout don’t last long at our house. Very good 👍 enjoyed the video. Have a great week. 👍🇺🇸🙏
Man I'm so sorry that you're not on your wonderful vacation you've had plans for so long.. it will come though man.. but I can't say very happy and glad I got a video to watch after work! Thanks man
Not sure how I ended up on this channel, but I sure am enjoying it! I love the ‘catch and cook’ content. The only downside is not being able to come for dinner!! I will definitely fry up some fish with this coating and for sure for sure I’ll make some fish tacos from the first, and fairly recent, I believe, video that I watched. Keep fishing!🎣 Sending thanks and love from just up the road in Texas.
Thanks for this morning's video. I'm in my eighties and it's tough to make it to all the old fishing holes I used to visit. Pointing out these obvious and easily accessed areas is a real service to people my age. Could you give us some advice on how to fish the rivers in this area? It's easier to put a small boat in the rivers and there is little worry about weather. However, with the exception of the area around Jim's fish camp, I don't know much about how to fish the sandy bottoms and deep holes. Some tips about fishing in Blackwater and Perdido would really be appreciated. Thanks again for the new and inspiring content.
An old-timer told me that at certain times of the year, they used to catch smoker-sized kingfish from the spot you're fishing. They'd catch live bait (LYs, mullet, etc) elsewhere, put them in an aerator, and then balloon them out from the bulkhead.
Brant I Love your Videos and your Content! I live in PA and I’ve always wanted to go Fishing in Florida, Pier and Deep Sea. I’d Love to see you do a Fried Shrimp, Shrimp Scampi, and a Snapper or Sheephead & Rice Dish.
As a new salt water fisherwoman (is that even a word?), I learn a lot from you and being that we just bought our forever home in Milton we will be moving to permanently in the next year or 2, I LOVE when you fish those “hidden gem” spots in the Pensacola/Navarre/Gulf Breeze area because that is where we like to fish also. And being that I love to cook? The cooking portion of your videos helps a lot as well, as an Iowa farm girl? I can smoke a carp, fry you some catfish, smoke some ribs and pork butt, but I have to learn this protein and how to cook with it. Thank you to you and wifey for everything!!!😊
Awesome comment! I'm a Midwestern transplant myself! Grew up in northern Illinois. Been a Floridian for 14 years now. Found my wife here, 7 years and counting!!❤ SOOO, the First thing you will learn, is that "freshwater" gear is WEAK!. You will have to switch to braid if you haven't already). My ultralight has 15 lbs braid main line on a 1000 series reel and 20 lbs floro leader. My "light" rigs (2500 series) have 20lbs braid with 30 lbs floro leader. My "medium" rigs are a 4000 Penn with 30 lbs braid and 40 to 50 lbs floro leader.... And when you hook A BIG one, your puny 400 yards of 30 lbs test... Will disappear faster than you thought possible. Welcome to saltwater!! 😂
@@scottmichael3745 Thank you for the encouragement and advice. I will admit I leave the gear and tackle and line to my husband, but we have our 4 wheel beach fishing cart. I know one rod I got him for Xmas was a 12’ Ninja Dagger but we have several that I don’t know the names of. But we did hit up Beach Bum Outdoors in March and got all 8 reels wound with various lines and things. I have been given TH-cam homework videos and practice that crazy twisting knot thing to tie leaders to lines. Getting there! Slowly but surely! I think we have Penn reels as well, but not sure. Here’s a girlie statement…. All I know is they are a really pretty blue! 🤣. Thank you again for your positivity!
love your outdoor kitchen, great video. One of my favorite memories of florida is standing on the jetties out of canals behind Whisper Bay, catching those specks that were gathered up at night. Do a Whisper Bay jetty night trip.
Best negative trophies ever. I have never seen anyone catch Spanish that small in a rod and reel. I have seen them snagged but not a real bite like that. Amazing!
Something I'd love to see would be a video where you team up with Captain Blair Wiggins. He's been busy lately with the Indian River Lagoon restoration so he's got some time on his hands now since, to my knowledge, he no longer does Addictive fishing or charters. Idk the legal logistics of it but if it's possible you'll make this fan very happy. 👀
Great video I feel like I know you, I love that fishing. We used to catch a lot of those sea trout they do taste good. Keep these videos coming I will watch and give thanks.
"It gets the job done fast, quick and in a hurry" -- Now that's fast brother! My wife and I are eventually moving to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area and without a doubt we are gonna come to you to find a home. Keep it up my friend, just thought I would drop you a line or two, as I know it helps the algorithm. 👊
Really like the catch and cook videos. Being several hundred miles from the gulf it’s not easy to go down and fish like I’d want. But when I do go it’s nice to know how others cook the fish.
Brant I really enjoy your videos. I live in Washington and am too old to make a trip to the east. So I really appreciate watching your videos. Maybe if my health improves I can someday get in on the fantastic fishing that I watch you and Brad and Mathew do. Keep up the great videos. Stan in Washington
love watching the fishing be good where i live. I'm hitting Bob sikes Saturday evening Gulf Breeze side. going to throw the net for some live bait and throw some cutting bait and live bait
I miss your roadside videos (not sure if it was across Alligator Alley, SR60 or where). I was raised fishing them and brings really great memories. I know you were traveling like I did and always carried my rod(s). I also like to watch ya’ll fishing Sebastian Inlet.
You put in the work. Great job. Would like to see you fish the boardwalk in Milton or a unlikely place there people don't think about. Also would like to see you fish the Yellow River and Coldwater Creek by kayak or canoe. Maybe a float down start and pickup point. Catch whatever is available. Has got to be good fish in the swift current areas.
I would like to see some Pensacola bull Red fishing. I really like your videos. If i lived closer its the kind of fishing i would be doing. Keep a tight line -a smooth drag and an eye on the weather.
Watching you from over in Apalachicola/St George Island area. Love your videos! Always encourages me to get out and drowned a worm or shrimp 🪱🦐 Tight lines Brant
Brant I'd love to see you try some freshwater kayak fishing, somewhere local like the styx river, blackwater or perdido. Absolutely floored you managed to catch something worth keeping at Palafox pier, I've fished there many times and it's rare to walk home with something worth eating besides mangroves or a random Red.
As you know, fish will often regurgitate their bellies as your reeling them in. I bet that trout was feeding on those baby spanish. Love your vids keep it up
You fish alot like my partner and I. We'll stop beside the road or pull off the interstate to fish under bridges or piers. Never know until you try. You did a great job explaining what you were doing. Very nice spec indeed. Great video and very enjoyable thanks😎
Wow. I appreciate you taking on the challenge and succeeding lol. I catch baby Spanish down there all the time. Even caught a baby pompano at the wahoos
My son and I were out at Ft Pickens a couple of weeks ago and I caught a Spanish about 7 or 8 inches long. And not to be outdone my son caught three smaller ones. He was throwing the cast net in the bait schools swimming by and caught three Spanish that were only about three inches long. It was the craziest thing I have seen. Your small Spanish were right in between the ones we caught. LOL!!! Fun times and you never know what will happen. --Brent

I honestly think Brant could catch a fish in a drainage ditch !
@@Papasmurf89 there's a video of him doing just that.
He just finds them !

You're the DIY fish guy. And very easy to listen to. Thanks for the fishing and cooking tips. Keep on keepin' on.

Wow, Brant. That’s an absolute STUD Speck…!!! And right off the Palafox Pier to boot. Unreal.
Brant, you are a fish magnet!
And in my opinion you are hitting all the goals that you set for yourself and your show!.
Keep up the good work!

Nice catch Brant and really nice outdoor kitchen! Thanks for sharing!
I like watching you fish from the beach/bank because I do not own a boat so I try my best to replicate what you, Brad, and Matt do on the beach.
Great job Brant!!!! That trout was a monster!!! Keep up the great work! Tight Lines!
Of ALL the fishing videos I think You are the best because its plain to see You love fishing .

That’s true. They catch them in September. I’ve caught them there in a boat.
I am turning 60 in November I love to fish and I love your channel. For my 60th birthday I would love to go fishing with you.
thank you for your time showing fishing in basic places and for sharing dry batter fish cornmeal recipe that is good for any fish!

Need the occasional summer mullet cast net video!!
Great catches!!! Looks good!! I like the idea of sprinkling fresh lime on fish before coating and frying!!
Thanks for the recipe. Can't beat fried trout.
Great video, looked like a fun morning. Love the catch and cooks.
Thanks Brant. Great video
Awesome catch,I miss you and Matt fishing together,y'all were soo funny together 😊
You have been getting me stoked to start fishing again! I love eating and cooking fish, and really love catching them when they're biting!!!

Nice trout Brant. The rip rap outside the marina is a great spot for trout and to get out of the wind sometimes.
I totally enjoy your fishing videos! Can you show how you prepare your fish for freezing? I'd sure appreciate it! Blessings!
Sure. I use a vacuum sealer
What kind of oil do you fry the fish in... great vids...
