The leviathan's jaws closed shut, and Tsunomon was gone. In its place floated mere specks of data, shimmering unstably in the digital wind - as if they could fade out of existence at any moment. Daemon threw Matt to the ground. The boy had lost all the colour from his face; his hands were trembling. "Aren't you going to erase him?" Leviamon demanded. Daemon opened his palm and manifested the Crest of Friendship, glowing blue, upon it. "Without his partner and his Crest, he will never be a threat to us again." Leviamon shrugged. A powerless human was no object of Envy. Just then, a light suddenly started pouring out of the leviathan's throat, causing it to flinch. Liked the demon lords winning, but wasn't sure if the ace purple was wasted as it may have been used to clog an attack to force a round shift over to the dogs preventing a purple attack build up.
It’s going to be a painful wait until EX5. With two of the purple Gabumons getting restricted to one today, and the purple/blue x-antibody cards not out in English until January, it’ll be tough waiting 3 months until I can try this deck out, and even then, with reduced viability
Hello, I have a question. I'm new to this game and I'm wondering where are you playing this game? I would like to know so I can test some decks before I buy more cards. I only have the starter deck of metalgarurumon
Not that it changes the outcome but doesn’t melgax have garurux’s protection when it would be deleted thus living on the current field with the only way it dies being if you digivolve in leviamon off the first Cerberus x and you have equal cards to Matt
Not gonna lie but it was pretty crazy that Garururmon X in 1 turn completely trashed all the cards in security. Gonna have to build this myself when the set comes out.
I really haven’t been a fan of any of the leviamon matches in this tournament. They either had the opponent brick hard, give leviamon a lot of luck (4 training boosts in the first 2 turns? Really?), or didn’t even properly showcase leviamon. One of the main reasons I enjoy these videos is that they don’t just showcase meta decks, but they showcase thematic decks. I also think it was pretty clear that metal x should’ve been running 2 blitz Omni instead of a blitz and x Antibody. Hoping that next tournament we see decks focus a bit more on their themes. I’ll always enjoy the editing, visuals, music, etc. but I think that in this tournament the actual matches themselves took a bit of a dive
Well the some of them were a little rushed. Also Omni X is an insane card. My only concern with the garuru deck was not running an Og X-Anti. But Levia has had plenty of chances to shine. Part of the issue is that we don't have all the leviathan cards till Levia X comes out so they have to supplement it with something and Daemon is a great card and it's nice to see it actually doing something now.
Thanks for the feedback! There are bound to be some ups and downs cos I don't script these match videos - I too was baffled by Levia's luck with Wisdom Training throughout this tournament. As for the Levia list, due to the lack of specific Levia support in EX5 alone, I tried to make it more thematic with 7GDL support, while sprinkling just a bit of Anubismon's lower-end to make up for his absence in the tournament. Since Levia's mechanic of dropping for free is reliant on having Rostrum and the opponent playing a Digimon by effect, it can be strongly invalidated in certain matchups. I was hoping that the addition of Daemon would provide an alternate route to letting the expensive leviathan wreak havoc on the field, but it looks like he inadvertently ended up stealing the limelight...
To be fair, a single stack (esp. not in blue) attacking five times in one turn was inconceivable back then. And starting the turn at Lv4 with 1 memory, no less... It really was a different game back then. =/
This was (surprisingly) a really close match. So yeah, metal garuru got to do their otk thing while levia got super ultra lucky. I dont really know how to feel about this one. It wasnt unfair. Just, 4 wis trains is kinda a hard pill to swallow. Still though, levia won fair and square. Excited to see him return next tourney with a shiny new X antibody coating.
Honestly, this just highlights why the older X anti is better for the garuru deck. We never saw Omni X hit trash, so it was in hand and old x anti Instead of protoform would’ve meant they won
@walkersikorski6924 the problem with this is that he went for the attack with X antibody instead of waiting and using it as a blocker. While the creator likes to show off what the decks do he doesn't really play them the way they are meant to be played.
This is pretty much a reason why I’m not sold on the Ace digimon play style. If the Overflow didn’t hit when it did, the game could have went differently but would have still lost do to deck out clause
I could be wrong (because Garuru's efficiency is ridiculous), but I think it still would have been a setup turn for Garuru since they had nothing else on the field or in raising. They couldn't make their final attack and had to contend with all that damage on the next turn. Garuru ACE extended their combo a fair bit, being able to go into mega for 0. It's a bit of an outlier among ACE cards, but seems to be a strong choice in this deck.
I definitely seen Levia having good chance against Garu. Like I might gusse in the play testing Garu did not achieve the otk then Levia just stool the hole momentum and finish the games or Daemon just decks out them. Or the Otk fails becouse Rustrum in securety.
He didn't have X-Anti he had Protoform. If he had X-Anti then you'd be right because he would swing then digi into Omni X but protoform doesn't do that.
@@rustmarrow on 4:10, if you didn't trash omni X, garuru X can attack use X-antibody to evo to omni X to trash 1 security, that should end to game right?
This kind of thing is why I really dislike the 7GDL decks so far. They all have overwhelming strengths outside of specific matchups. Be it Beelze's ridiculous speed in setting up, Leviamon's ability to completely ignore almost all forms of protection, or Belphemon being virtually invulnerable to removal. This, of course, alongside the absolutely disgusting option cards they have at their disposal really irks me, especially given how removing their cards simply just further fuels their plays considering they are purple archetypes, who thrive off of that. They completely invalidate certain decktypes.
The only 7GDL I personally have a vendetta against is Leviamon. The Deck play style is very annoying, due to not only Leviamon itself ignores protection, but also Rostrum being able to delete your Boss, while setting up Leviamon to enter the field for free. And well, the X-Antibody Leviamon and its Option are so overkill. You can't play cards by effects, or else, Leviamon X will rise from the Trash for free during your turn and delete your stuff and the Option just activate from Trash for free if your tries to play the game while Leviamon is on the field. My problem with this Deck is the fact that it not only breaks boards easily, but also prevents any comeback from your opponent because the Trash have not 1, but 2 bombs ready to detonate whenever you play a Digimon or Tamer by an effect.

This, of course, alongside the absolutely disgusting option cards they have at their disposal really irks me, especially given how removing their cards simply just further fuels their plays considering they are purple archetypes, who thrive off of that.
They completely invalidate certain decktypes.
i feel the same way its not fare
More of a Creepymon deck than a Leviamon deck, yawn.
