    Files are here: miscast.co/products/print-play-terrain-goblin-hide-out. There is also a black and white colourable in version if you don't have a colour printer and want to colour it yourself (contrast paints, inks, pencils, water color and washes work great) Update: Added a new set for young adventurers!

    With all these scratch build and 3d printing options, we often forget how good cardstock terrain can come out with just a little bit of extra work. I still have the first tower I made out of foam core and cardstock almost 20 years ago for Mage Knight. Great use of the new studio space BTW.

    What I adore about this is that it's such an effective way of slapping out easy terrain with practically zero effort, and does it in a style that's fun and charming. The world needs more easy options like this for us less crafty folks.

    "Doesn't look like it's from the 90s."
    "???s" at you in _Munda_ , _Gorka_ , and _Mordheim_ .
    Joking aside the aesthetic of these would go well with the hand painted _Dungeon Floorplan_ tiles from the 80s. I understand that HQ images of these long, long OOP sets can be found with a little digging.

    I discovered papercraft terrain and buildings two nights before DMing my first ever session and they absolutely saved my bacon AND to my chagrin managed to look much better than the intricately, laboriously handcrafted buildings I'd spent weeks working on lmao. Felt like a prank but I'd absolutely recommend pieces like this to others, budget or no

  • @Karlmakesstuff
    @Karlmakesstuff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    These look great! Print and play buildings are severely underrated. Two tips - when cutting out windows, the easiest way is to nick both corners then extend the cut to the center so you're never cutting into the wall. Near perfect cut every time. Second, blender 3d (free) has a paper model plugin which lets you break 3d models down into templates, and you can find simple textured 3d models online.

    The Depths: "For the love of whatever God you fear most please play something different, I'm this close to entombing some of my friends in clay and sculpting frog heads on them in petty revenge, and don't think I won't do it to YOU! Just play!!"

    i was actually toying with an idea like this, using foamcore, and printed stickers, to make cheap, easy, 3"x3" map tiles, with 1x1 grids. Use some hair spray to make it a little more solid, and you have an easy, modular dungeon tile system, that costs probably about 50 cents per tile, with cost of ink, sticker paper, and foam board.
    use a hot glue gun to melt some small round holes along the edges, and glue some cheap magnets, to hold them together.
    Or buy a giant roll of velcro, and have a velcro board.
