Sauvage Elixir is a wow for me. I actually have to force myself not to wear. It just feels like a grown man fragrance and a lot of ladies, not girls but ladies really like the smell of it.
I've been wearing Cartier Declaration for over 20 years now and people young and old, male and female have stopped me to ask what cologne I'm wearing. It's not new obviously but it is a good one. I went nose blind to it fairly quickly also. Many colognes give me a headache but this one never did. Occasionally I get a sniff of it myself and then give myself a compliment. I would love to have a secondary scent to wear but I haven't found another as versatile and enduring as Declaration.
I wouldn’t say approached but two of the best compliments I’ve ever received wearing cologne were when I wore Sauvage EDT and Hanae Mori. The woman at the restaurant literally couldn’t stop hugging me when she smelled Sauvage EDT dried down a few hours. With Hanae Mori which is one of my all time signature scents a woman literally ran me down in a grocery store after I walked by her to see what the scent was I was wearing.
I am done with Dior look I get compliments by it too but good lord sick of smelling like lavender! I resist! Ultra male for me which I have had more compliments by then the dior sauvage.
The TUMI line smells great. Awaken is a beast of ah scent. Women around me loves the scent when I wear it. Unwind is another one that is great from Tumi. I have a lot of colognes, but I like all the Tumi line the best.
Rehab is my signature scent, but I also use Spicebomb which has a similar scent but at an affordable price point. Also Spicebomb, gets more attention than Rehab for me.
I like the way how you express yourself by describing each of the perfumes. I was stopped when I was wearing a combination of Chanel Allure Homme sport Cologne along with Dior sport. I actually like to combine perfumes to make them unique.

I am getting Armani Code Parfum as a gift this year for Christmas from my mother, I was just at a Macy's store yesterday and I had like how many workers try out their scents lol but I wanted to try the new Armani Code Parfum and I ended up loving it more and more throughout the time I was shopping. I was with her when she bought it now I have to wait until Xmas to get it lol.
Then throw in a designer to sell down to earth like of all the good designer releases why Armani code parfum it's not better than the EDT it's not worth mentioning at all but she's out of touch
I actually had two girls follow me around Leeds City centre after I sprayed Dior Elixir after 15 mins or so they stopped me to asked what I was wearing and they said they had been following me around cos they caught a sniff of it as I walked passed and wanted to know if it was me who smelled good or not lol deffo a compliment getter, I had a girl say to me when I went to my local pub that she smelt me as soon as I walked in (and this is a heavy metal bar that was packed full of people), that was also Elixir

My number one compliment getter by women is by the fireplace second is azzaro the most wanted and third is d&g the one. By men is the most wanted, then tuscan leather, then a cheapy.. Bentley intense. Got around 100 colognes in my collection now. I of course wear some more than others. So ones I have but don’t personally like as well as others won’t get compliments as often.

Finally found a good deal on Prada LR Black for my collection. It is a masterpiece! I love the OG Lhomme Ideal personally, but the Extreme is great too, better than the EDP, which is too sweet for me sometimes.
I was in shopping and this lady tapped me on the shoulder and said “You smell delicious, what are you wearing?” It was Dior Homme 2020 layered with TF Ombré Leather. Then she said, “Yes! Delicious! Don’t tell my husband!” 😂

I wear it when it's cooler out... 50 or under... it gets me more compliments than I expected when I bought it - wasn't why I bought it... just loved the smell so much... took me on a journey. Creed Viking is another sleeper... but it's hit/miss... I get more compliments from men with this one - mostly asking me what it is.... my wife likes it but I dont get a ton of female attention with this. I love it. Great all year round... need to get a new bigger bottle soon... started off with small bottle after sampling... now it's going to be a staple in my collection

Antaeus by Chanel is the best men's fragrance ever. Every female I've recommended to has the same reaction, they don't want, or won't let their men leave the house wearing it. Needless to say, many instances of couples not attending scheduled events, or being very late is definitely the norm.

Recently purchase Dior sauvage Parfum and it was a bit too strong for me. It was more for smelling sexy instead of a practical everyday smell that I enjoy. I got two compliments just from getting groceries on the first day I wore it. I actually returned it and got the Dior sauvage EDP and I’ll say wow it’s much much better imo and I can’t recommend it enough.

I don’t own too many fragrances, despite Dior Sauvage being so popular I’ve never gotten any feedback from it. The Burberry hero edp I recently purchased has been basically the same, it’s my eternity summer that has gotten attention. Expensive isn’t always better haha!
Try Parfum de Marly ‘Layton’. Many women, when they’ve walked past me, have ‘come back for another sniff’ lol. Been told it smells like apples and lavender.
Well, you know Gloomy, this is aching me for a long time. In my personal opinion, the fragrances has to have a lot to do with body chemistry. I have bought ysl eau de parfum for 90eur, I bought eau sauvage for a 100 bucks, I have THE ONE eau de parfume for 120eur . At the end of the day, none of them performed with me or brought me any compliments. I really think of making a video series, which point out, that it has a lot to do with body chemistry. Almost unkown fragrances seem to work for me just great like: Burburry Touch, Mens Clean ......, Ferragamo F by Ferragamo Black, and so on. On the other hand I must admit, that there are a couple of fragrances, that are high quality and never dissapoint. Number 1 is : Blue De Chanel. I personally love it. It performs, it is versatile and really great. The other one, never dissapointed was and is 1 Million. I bought it a couple of times and my wife was never tired of it. There are as well some hidden Champions, I would say. I usually care for myself first and always like to wear fragrances, that please me first before the ladys. As I have to live with it. After I have seen a couple of fragrance videos, I just made a blind buy with Mount Blanc individual. I did not even realise it and could enjoy it myself but it made my wife act really strange ^^ . It must have a special sillage which must be very dreamy as my one day, my wife went to my sister to ask, which parfume I am wearing, which made me kind of feeling wired as she could have asked me myself ^^ . So must be a really special one, when it is sensed by women. Another one was davidoff the game. I got some compliments on that one, even thought I personally did not like it or smell it ^^. Everyone has to find find there ways
I don't have nothing from that list, but I get compliments only 2 times and both was when I wearing Diesel Bad. But my favourite fragrances now, are : Gisada Ambassador Intense, Histoire de Parfums 1740, Armani Code Profumo, Mancera Kumkat Wood and Alexandria Fragrances Hafez 1984.

It’s my new main office fragrance and it feels like it was engineered specifically for daily office wear. Its got the longevity you need, it’s both a bit fresh but also has a little depth. Good silage without being overpowering. A true Goldilocks fragrance.
Bizarrely, the only stuff that ever got me any compliments was an antiperspirant called Aquatonic by Faberge, Asda used to sell it for 99p but the original was discontinued many years ago 😞

I've always been stopped while wearing Inis. Worn Inis for about 20 years now and it combines with my body chemistry so well. Anytime any woman smells it on me, the least they do is compliment the way I smell, and sometimes they'll come close to smell my neck. Now, on the other hand, my doctor about 10 years back told me how great I smelled so I bought him a bottle of Inis for Christmas. He came back to me 2 months later and gave me the bottle back (so that he didn't waste it) and said it did not combine with him well. So, its pretty interesting to see how different colognes mix with different body chemistry.
I tested Intense Cafe at Bloomingdale's. On the way home I stopped at a store and a pretty young woman less than half my age stopped me to ask what I was wearing. Went on line that day and pulled the trigger.😎 Lady who does my nails loves it, too!
I'd rather get a run-in with a girl in Los Angeles, on a side note, I love wearing cologne, and how having a pleasant scent bubble seems to put everybody in my path at ease, however, I am not really a fan of female scents up close. The most complimented fragrances I wear are Armaf, Club de Nuit Intense and Dior All over spray. The girls whom I encounter with these two scents are transformed from typical women, i.e., caddy, stressed, and endless small talk, into a relaxed, flirty, and curious type, perfect !

Out of the dozens upon dozens of fragrances I've tried, ranging from cheap knockoffs to hundred dollar designers brands, the cologne I've been complimented on the most by men and women (and we're talking pretty much every time I wear it) is good old reliable Aspen. Less than thirty bucks at walmart lol Been wearing it off and on since I was a teenager. My personal favourite just for myself as I've rarely if ever actually been complimented on it is Creed's Green Irish Tweed (designed for the icon of class himself, Mr. Cary Grant). So I'm a bit curious now to give Viking a sniff. How does Viking compare to Green Irish Tweed, if at all?

I've been on the search for a more affordable replacement and try to limit my use to special occasions. It would be nice to be able to afford to wear it every day, I find the scent very calming and soft. And of course I've found nothing else that comes even close. Don't quote me on this, but I think that there is or there was some ingredient in it that comes from whales and is very rare and that's why it's so expensive. I'm pretty sure that was outlawed though, they just never bothered lowering the price.

Rasasi Hawas, Detour Noir, and CDNIM has gotten me the most compliments. They smell better than some of the $100-$150+ bottles in my collection haha

Recently purchase Dior sauvage Parfum and it was a bit too strong for me. It was more for smelling sexy instead of a practical everyday smell that I enjoy. I got two compliments just from getting groceries on the first day I wore it. I actually returned it and got the Dior sauvage EDP and I’ll say wow it’s much much better imo and I can’t recommend it enough.

@@losmit2194 yeah it would be an offensive smell in a work environment but it’s definitely very sexy. I like the EDP a lot and get compliments on it almost daily. Parfum is nice too for sure. Just not a good everyday scent in my opinion
I don’t own too many fragrances, despite Dior Sauvage being so popular I’ve never gotten any feedback from it. The Burberry hero edp I recently purchased has been basically the same, it’s my eternity summer that has gotten attention. Expensive isn’t always better haha!

Well, you know Gloomy, this is aching me for a long time. In my personal opinion, the fragrances has to have a lot to do with body chemistry.
I have bought ysl eau de parfum for 90eur, I bought eau sauvage for a 100 bucks, I have THE ONE eau de parfume for 120eur . At the end of the day, none of them performed with me or brought me any compliments.
I really think of making a video series, which point out, that it has a lot to do with body chemistry. Almost unkown fragrances seem to work for me just great like: Burburry Touch, Mens Clean ......, Ferragamo F by Ferragamo Black, and so on. On the other hand I must admit, that there are a couple of fragrances, that are high quality and never dissapoint. Number 1 is : Blue De Chanel. I personally love it. It performs, it is versatile and really great. The other one, never dissapointed was and is 1 Million. I bought it a couple of times and my wife was never tired of it.
There are as well some hidden Champions, I would say. I usually care for myself first and always like to wear fragrances, that please me first before the ladys. As I have to live with it. After I have seen a couple of fragrance videos, I just made a blind buy with Mount Blanc individual. I did not even realise it and could enjoy it myself but it made my wife act really strange ^^ . It must have a special sillage which must be very dreamy as my one day, my wife went to my sister to ask, which parfume I am wearing, which made me kind of feeling wired as she could have asked me myself ^^ . So must be a really special one, when it is sensed by women. Another one was davidoff the game. I got some compliments on that one, even thought I personally did not like it or smell it ^^.

Yeah same here....Sauvage doesn't get me any compliments. I get lots of compliments from YSL la nuit de'homme and Mont Blanc explorer though.

I don't have nothing from that list, but I get compliments only 2 times and both was when I wearing Diesel Bad. But my favourite fragrances now, are : Gisada Ambassador Intense, Histoire de Parfums 1740, Armani Code Profumo, Mancera Kumkat Wood and Alexandria Fragrances Hafez 1984.

It’s my new main office fragrance and it feels like it was engineered specifically for daily office wear. Its got the longevity you need, it’s both a bit fresh but also has a little depth. Good silage without being overpowering. A true Goldilocks fragrance.

Bizarrely, the only stuff that ever got me any compliments was an antiperspirant called Aquatonic by Faberge, Asda used to sell it for 99p but the original was discontinued many years ago 😞

I've always been stopped while wearing Inis. Worn Inis for about 20 years now and it combines with my body chemistry so well. Anytime any woman smells it on me, the least they do is compliment the way I smell, and sometimes they'll come close to smell my neck. Now, on the other hand, my doctor about 10 years back told me how great I smelled so I bought him a bottle of Inis for Christmas. He came back to me 2 months later and gave me the bottle back (so that he didn't waste it) and said it did not combine with him well. So, its pretty interesting to see how different colognes mix with different body chemistry.
I tested Intense Cafe at Bloomingdale's. On the way home I stopped at a store and a pretty young woman less than half my age stopped me to ask what I was wearing. Went on line that day and pulled the trigger.😎 Lady who does my nails loves it, too!

I'd rather get a run-in with a girl in Los Angeles, on a side note, I love wearing cologne, and how having a pleasant scent bubble seems to put everybody in my path at ease, however, I am not really a fan of female scents up close. The most complimented fragrances I wear are Armaf, Club de Nuit Intense and Dior All over spray. The girls whom I encounter with these two scents are transformed from typical women, i.e., caddy, stressed, and endless small talk, into a relaxed, flirty, and curious type, perfect !

Out of the dozens upon dozens of fragrances I've tried, ranging from cheap knockoffs to hundred dollar designers brands, the cologne I've been complimented on the most by men and women (and we're talking pretty much every time I wear it) is good old reliable Aspen. Less than thirty bucks at walmart lol Been wearing it off and on since I was a teenager. My personal favourite just for myself as I've rarely if ever actually been complimented on it is Creed's Green Irish Tweed (designed for the icon of class himself, Mr. Cary Grant). So I'm a bit curious now to give Viking a sniff. How does Viking compare to Green Irish Tweed, if at all?

I've been on the search for a more affordable replacement and try to limit my use to special occasions. It would be nice to be able to afford to wear it every day, I find the scent very calming and soft. And of course I've found nothing else that comes even close. Don't quote me on this, but I think that there is or there was some ingredient in it that comes from whales and is very rare and that's why it's so expensive. I'm pretty sure that was outlawed though, they just never bothered lowering the price.
