Nice tour...had no idea they have so many different departments including assembly. Looks like they do beautiful work. Love those Legend chassis setups.
Fantastic video! Thanks! This is without a doubt the most progressive hot rod related company in the hobby (makes you question the word "hobby"). And now a merge with Aeromotive. Simply amazing!
It's pretty impressive right@@billymurphy3 ?!? If you can pay for it and come up with the idea they can make it - and make it niiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!! Now I'm saving up for a RS Blazer chassis.
You can drive it there @user-jq9bh8rx2b or you can trailer it there or you can call up Pilot Transport and they'll get it there. Or you can just order a chassis and they'll deliver it to you. Pretty cool right?!?
My GPS routed me past that one day during my self employment days. I did a u turn! I got a similar tour but not sure the place was that big at that time. Awesome video!
Yes amazing operation. Pretty sure the wide body second Gen Camaro was unfinished in the showroom when I went thru. Wish I knew you were in the area, we could have went looking for "ding bat" houses off of the Lincoln Highway in St Charles, Il.
That wide-body "Rampage" is one of my favorites@@jeffmiddleton2222 !! It's a purpose-built weapon. Thanks for the invite - I didn't know there were any Batwing stations in St Charles, Il.
I commented on another video of a boomerang gas station that my dad built houses in a similar style he called Ding Bats. That's what we could look for. There is an old Pure station in Geneva, IL on the Lincoln Highway converted to a bank drive thru.
Thanks for the comment@@jeffmiddleton2222 !! I think you mean a "Batwing" gas station not a boomerang. The boomerangs were Denny's diners - I dig those too. Did you see the video of the first gas station on the Lincoln Highway in Illinois??
That all depends on if they’re building the car for you @23marting. If they’re building you a vehicle you supply the vehicle. Otherwise they can just build you a chassis. Pretty awesome right?!?
Thanks so much rlh!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Would you do me a favor? Gimme a like & subscribe to my TH-cam channel if you haven't already. I'd appreciate it.
Sorry Joe - I don't know what kind of bucket seats those are. If it's a Roadster Shop build they're probably custom made. My seats are TMI & I'm loving them!!
Hey Jeff, how do you like your new roadster shop chassis in regards to drivability, comfort, pros and cons etc.. and how does it compare to your old modified original chassis? Do to your extensive driving I know you have put both to the test Do you feel it was worth swapping? I know they aren't cheap lol ...... Comparing the two chassis would make for a great video! : )
Great question Fifty!! It’s a night and day difference!! There is no comparison. It’s the best investment I ever made. I had done as much as I could to the old chassis and it was great but the Roadster Shop is another level. I’ve got over 21,000 miles on it since April and I’m not done yet.
Good question Rare!! For a roller with LS/LT1 or LT4 & 8-10L90 I think you’re looking at around $80,000. That’s without your donor truck and without interior or electrical. But it is one bad-ass ride!!
I’m not sure where the statement “Cobbler Shoes” came from. I’m running up on 73 years old and my mother and father ran a shoe repair shop. My first pair of boots were custom made by my father. When I outgrew them he made me another pair. I was never without shoes or boots….
I think the phrase came about because the cobblers friends and family and business associates always had the best shoes. The cobbler… not so much. It’s a total generalization so please don’t be offended.
@@jeffthisted I’m not offended. I had nice everyday shoes also. But I was just saying when me and my friends were out making money. I had the nicest work boots. Growing up in the Early Sixties.
