    I have never installed anything like this before I will buy the 11-34T and I will use your video to help me install this free wheel keep up the good work I enjoy your videos

    WTF? After waiting through the entire video you cut the end off before showing us the new top speed? That was kind of the point.

    • @eldnah2
      @eldnah2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The new top speed is basically the old top speed except for whatever pedal power you apply, so it's the human factor. I did mine a few months ago and the part you will appreciate is not spinning yourself to death trying to keep up with the motor. It's more than worth it.

      @@eldnah2 That was what I was getting at. With the new freewheel on flat ground, how fast are you going before you are ghost pedalling?

      Did the stock chain end up working on 34t? You didn't need a longer one??

      Yes. The gearing is really low though, not much distance coming from it. 11-28T is another option

    Very nice job with the visuals. I never even had to adjust my derailleur. Did my 11-28 for flat roads a while back and very happy I did.

    Agree with other comments; failed to show results. On the new freewheel, get to whatever RPM you call speeding out is/was and at state the speed difference. Also if this is a Drift Manic freewheel, there has been quality control issues>chipped teeth, inconsistent spacing. Curious if yours is still operating.

    great video ,how do you like it now.has it affected the range you get on the battery??

    There seems to be conflicting schools of thought on whether the spacer between the motor and the freewheel should be removed. Looks like you left yours on?

  • @Nickoliki

    How did it shift after? Did you have any trouble with the chain?
    I've been told the 11-32 is better because of how bad the chain drop is when shifting on the 11-34. However, the 11-34 does have more uphill torque. So im just curious from your perspective

    I changed mine, but for some reason the back wheel will no longer coast after changing it. Everything pedals fine, but if you crank the wheel on the stand the back wheel stops very quickly and doesn't coast like it should.

    • @brianbkaraoke
      @brianbkaraoke หลายเดือนก่อน

      Removing it from the hub and lubricating the freewheel with Tri-flow seemed to solve my problem. Surprised it was not lubricated sufficiently brand new.

  • @robsimora
    @robsimora ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey Matt, it looks like you left the spacer on under the new freewheel. Are you still using that, or did you have to eventually remove it. My new upgraded freewheel is not recessed on the backside like the original freewheel.

    Most people don't know what pedaling resistance is and don't want to pedal anyway, lol.

    Didnt need to get a new chain to fit over that 34T big sprocket when the previous only went to 28?

    Upgraded to the same freewheel, however I feel like I may have more resistance when coasting, I seem to slow down a lot faster than I did before the upgrade. I fear that this may affect my range if there is any extra friction. Any tips or suggestions? TIA

    What size is the new chain for the larger freewheel? Is there a link to buy? I need a heavy duty chain.

    Hello, how is with shifting to lowest gear (1.)or 34 teeth sprocket, you don't need longer chain? derailleur works smooth? And how many tooth is your chainring (42, 46, or 48) ?

  • @E-BikingAdventures
    @E-BikingAdventures ปีที่แล้ว

    My ebike came with a 11-34, but the 11 tooth(7th gear) broke. A piece with 2 teeth broke off and I was unable to use it. I had to do with the 13 tooth 6th gear and I did not like that at all. Even with my 52 tooth chain ring. I just bought a new one. I don't know why a lot of ebikes are being sold with a standard 14-28. They are inadequate for an ebike.

    You know, that's a good idea, but that's way too much work. You could adjust put a bigger sprocket with more teeth at the petals and couldn't have got the same results, and it wouldn't have been a lot easier than having done the hook. Everything to take the back wheel off and then Put it back on. You probably got up forty eight tooth rocket on there and if you went to like a fifty two or so, you could've got the same results and it would've been a lot easier.

      Chainring the front sprocket causes other issues. For one, it makes it harder to peddle uphill. You are far better off changing the the rear freewheel sprocket set. It’s not hard at all. It took me less than ten minutes to do everything.

      Funny thing I had a 11-34T on my RadRover 6 and I replaced it with a 14-34T I don’t know what I was thing I thought I was decreasing the teeth on my 7 th cog, instead I did the opposite, I haven’t notice much difference I’m still ghost peddling at top speeds, I’m sure a little more that I did the opposite, does it help you much?
