Thanks for the video! Can I ask how do you get the cad file for such a thing? Do you design it yourself? Or get a picture/photo and put some sort of stencil filter on it so it just shows outlines? If you’re busting out signs like this for customers surely it’s not cost effective to be spending hours drawing it from scratch in CAD. Not sure how that side of it works.
@@buxybuilt1519 this particular machine you can design your own drawing in cad as you suggest. You can download any pre-existing drawings or you can use the trace function of the arm and simply create a design by following the outline with the stencil attachment. All you do is save the file as dxf format stick it on a USB stick tell it basically how thick the metal is and off you go
@@mattsan70 ahh I got ya, so to save time you could print out a photo of a crane for example off google that you like and just trace the outline yourself, adding in the details you think are necessary. Then create a Microsoft word doc of the lettering and trace that also. Appreciate your fast reply!
@@buxybuilt1519 you could but that so long winded. google "crane clipart" or "crane DXF" or "crane vector" and you will have many to choose from - throw it into any drawing program add your text and save as DXF job done. I use Vcarve pro as my drawing/CAD program as its very versatile. Even import a bitmap photo and it will "trace" it to a vector line image for you! search on here vcarve pro dead easy to learn
