    Wathced numerous videos online of this machine, the fact it is portable is a selling point for me. Definitely on my list of purchases for the workshop this year

      Ya, that was the selling point for me. It the cordless drill vs drill press comparison. One good job and it will have paid for itself.

    few notes - best to clamp the sheet down - here we saw it move a bit plus the torch gets a false height from the spring back of the sheet hence it catching otherwise good job each cut we learn a bit more

      Thanks. Ya, I have a lot to learn with this. The next 2 I did, i clamped the material after it caught an edge and moved the material 🙄. I also have to get the voltage devider and get the thc working.

      @@LeeBuilds23 The thc can be a bit tricky to setup by all accounts but worth looking into - good luck wi it all. Still learning mine.

    I wonder if you could make the arms longer? I watched a few videos now and it looks like someone could make longer upper arm and side bar. You could them make larger projects. If ARDROID made an additional arms for it, that could be a game changer!

    • @LeeBuilds23
      @LeeBuilds23  ปีที่แล้ว

      Myself, if I start doing bigger stuff, I'll get a table. The arm definitely has its limitations. The reason I got this is because it is small and portable. I've done jobs with this where I've put the machine right on the material that I am cutting. I use the comparison "its like comparing a cordless drill to a drill press"

      I saw a video from arcdroid where setup is I think x2. It allows you to double the length of your project by cutting half then allowing you to restart in the middle. Seems a fantastic machine. John

      @user-ny7ho7pc5v I have the x2. But I haven't unboxed it yet. For the price point, it's an awesome machine. But in all honesty, if I start cutting bigger pieces, I'll be investing in a table.

    Did you the machines from the guys in Canada or did you order straight in from Asia?

    • @LeeBuilds23
      @LeeBuilds23  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I ordered it from the website so it shipped from China. If I knew kms had them before I had ordered, I would have git it from kms tools

    Hi thanks for the video, how big is the working area that it will cut?

    I have a plasma table but this is so cool! I can definitely see the value in this. I’ve seen some cool stuff made with it and the fact that it’s portable is a huge selling point. My plasma table is not portable 🤣.
    Cool sign dude!

      @@LeeBuilds23 question about the portability, plasma needs air to work. So how do you lug around the arc droid, plasma cutter and air compressor? I suppose you could use a pancake, but I can’t imagine that would keep up.

    • @LeeBuilds23
      @LeeBuilds23  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @810Metalworks the shop I take it to has air. So I don't have to worry about that. Lots of guys I see with welding rigs have a gas-powered air compressor on their rig already. You do need a good amount of air to do any decent amount of work.

    did you make the sign on fusion 360 and import it into the arcdroid ? nice set up.

    • @LeeBuilds23
      @LeeBuilds23  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. They gave me an svg file of their business logo and I put it into Inkscape to doctor it up so I didn't drop out any letters or inserts. Then saved as an dxf file and installed on the arcdroid. I haven't learned fusion yet. Just getting the hang of Inkscape right now.

      @@LeeBuilds23 how has the cut 60 been with the arcdriod? any issues?

    • @LeeBuilds23
      @LeeBuilds23  ปีที่แล้ว

      So far, there are no issues. I did replace the cat 6 with shielded cat 6 wire just as a precaution because I was doing a big panel job with it, and I didn't want any issues. So far, I am happy with it. From the sounds of it, it was the older machines that had the issues. For the price and the duty cycle, it's worth it.
