Another place to forage: the woods at the south end of Raasay. I spent a lovely day there at about this time of year a couple of years ago. There are lovely trails around the woods so no need to take the car. If I'd known the difference between edible & inedible mushrooms I would have had a lovely haul.

I enjoy your video;s and foraging and am learning from you about mushrooms and of coarse who could resist jack spaniels - love your format. I visited Skye for the first time last year (a 60 year birthday gift) - been wanting to for many years. I loved Skye and now relive my trip through you guys. I live on the Sussex coast which is pretty and I forage here but nothing like the wilderness of Skye.

I happened to have my Thinline Telecaster in my lap during the road-trip part of the video and solo'd over Willie's acoustic guitar soundtrack. Belated happy birthday to his mum, I can just imagine how thrilled she was to see him. Also had to smile when you mentioned House of Bruar. I stopped by there on my way to Stonehaven during my spring holiday. Had a delicious steak pie lunch, then bought a bunch of jumpers (including one for my mum) and some trousers. It might have been my imagination, but I thought I heard my credit card whimper when I pulled it from my wallet. Anyway, looking forward to my calendar and bobble hat! And the next episode!

Love the idea of foraging from either land or sea. I have a veg garden and used to make chutney, pickles and all sorts. Had a holiday not far from Oban and in one of the forests there was an abundance of blackberries. We took them home a made blackberry vodka and gin. Definitely drinks to keep the autumn chill out 😊

By the way: The forest looks great. Hope it inspired the painting artist in the family. I'm really glad that the energetic, 4legged mushroom destroyer didn't hit many this time. The soup looks delicious (now I'm hungry).

I happened to have my Thinline Telecaster in my lap during the road-trip part of the video and solo'd over Willie's acoustic guitar soundtrack. Belated happy birthday to his mum, I can just imagine how thrilled she was to see him. Also had to smile when you mentioned House of Bruar. I stopped by there on my way to Stonehaven during my spring holiday. Had a delicious steak pie lunch, then bought a bunch of jumpers (including one for my mum) and some trousers. It might have been my imagination, but I thought I heard my credit card whimper when I pulled it from my wallet. Anyway, looking forward to my calendar and bobble hat! And the next episode!

Love the idea of foraging from either land or sea. I have a veg garden and used to make chutney, pickles and all sorts. Had a holiday not far from Oban and in one of the forests there was an abundance of blackberries. We took them home a made blackberry vodka and gin. Definitely drinks to keep the autumn chill out 😊
