About time somebody publicly called them out. So disappointed that other youtubers have completely ignored the fact this is happening. It's hurting the sim racing community.
They're getting direct attention from their representatives in regards to getting them their product as quickly and as easily as possible, so some of them just genuinely haven't had the same experiences some of their regular customers have had. But it is disappointing that the CSL DD remained sold out for an absolute eternity while so much of their product remained on backorder didn't get as much criticism as it should've. I think if companies like Moza, Cammus, or Asetek did this they'd be torn to shreds but Fanatec has been around so long and is so popular I think people are a bit more forgiving when they fall short.
YTubers won't say a thing because they are sponsored. Fanatec make sure they receive their products asap. So the youtube followers buy into their awful company. Fanatec made 60000 sales on black Friday and can't fulfill them.
As per latest posts on the so called Fanatec Owners Club in FB, they are now cancelung orders made on BF saying there was a glitch in the prices, in the mean time they kept the money from buyers, adding to that, if you criticize the on that group, you are attacked, like I am being right now.
Thanks for helping make this situation public. As someone in the industry it makes me so sad to see poor customer service. We, UK based sim racing businesses, have been trying for years to allow Fanatec to let us officially sell and support the products in the UK, but they will not even discuss it. Following Brexit we have been forced the pay retail prices and then add a small markup to help the UK. I've been trying to help out people where I can after seeing the horror stories on the Fanatec Forum, i'm loaned out lots of new kit to people in need and am still waiting for them to get what they ordered from Fanatec. Personally many of my orders are in a bad way and I order a huge volume every year.
You have earned my sub. Finally someone who isn't sucking up to Fanatec. I'm done with them for good and I hope more people will switch to other brand since their recent behaviors are insane.
Can you make a video about this @kireth? I made a Black Friday order & I now have 0 confidence after reading the fanatec forums. We need voices like this vid & others like your self & Rory calling fanatec out for the shambles
@@Kuro__Sasori Don’t hold your breath for Rory speaking out. I tried to get him to comment on the U.K. delivery shambles the other day, and he ignored the question. I know he saw it, he was between races and responding to all comments. He knows who butters his bread and won’t risk any comeback from his sponsors. I really want a Fanatec setup, but the repeated complaints I’m seeing are really putting me off. Maybe the Logitech Pro will have to do.
@@Sarthe_Vader my Black Friday is currently on the way, arriving Friday. 22 days from purchase. I have other stuff on order but it doesn’t arrive till January I hate the way the certain streamers milk the community , it’s completely for personal gain & they know it! Donate donate donate , membership membership membership . More more more! “It’s all down to you guys” 😂
I've been on the end of poor customer service. Wanted me to jump through hoops for a couple of potentiometers, video evidence, told to clean them twice. Ended up replacing them with aftermarket hall sensors. Instead of sponsored TH-camrs pushing affiliate links they need to be calling this company out like this, well done.
What a nice guy to send you that quick release!! Love people like that, thanks for the video, ill be waiting untill moza releases some console hardware
Charge back on your credit card is the solution. You did not get your complete order so you will win. I had a camera missing a part and got a $4k charge back and got to keep the partial order.
This is what I'll be doing soon if nothing happens with my order. A month now and I still have nothing to show for it. No option to cancel. Im giving it till Monday then Im going to charge back. Unfortunately I dont have the means to order an alternative whilst I wait for the refund
Yeah i bought on black friday. Had the now infamous pricing bug happen. Because i wanted those items and had them in cart already waiting for the wheel discount to go live. There was a bundle discount minutes before for apm and buttons for 100€. I ordered 1 minute after wheel deal got up. Didnt realize the pricing bug until 2 days later reading about it. Tried to contact them about it but dead silece since. I received an invoice and its marked completly shipped. The silence around it with no informations what to expect, no chance to buy the wheel and apm at the expected discounted bf price again drove me crazy slowly over the past days. Im from germany and checked with my lawyer and after all the stress the situation had put me in i made the decisions that i will take this to court if they contact next week and not sent the stuff out. They have the legal right to fight the valid contract based on the pricing bug but they waited for too long. Lawyer is confident we will win and i am fed up with fanatecs behaviour.
Positive news! I ordered my stuff from Fanatec one week ago, the parcels arrived to me today. I live in Sweden, and it was a GT DD Pro bundle with pedals and a break load cell. The stuff arrived in three different parcels, but they all arrived together.
It is likely caused by incompetent management. It was similar in the company I work for, it suddenly started growing very rapidly to a point where existing resources could not support the new customer base. The management were not keen on expanding the team because of increased costs, however this was at the expense of quality of service and customer's satisfaction. It took almost 2 years for them to realize that this will not work in the long run and finally started to hire new people, but they were never able to bring back the previous quality of service as a lot of experienced team members left due to increased workload and dissatisfaction.
Love my Cammus C5/kit. Took 9 days. All in ONE box. The box said Cammus, but had no product ID or photos for the porch pirates too see, like Fanatec. Replied to emails within days. I emailed them concerning the shipping rates (China) They kindly knocked off 15%. Pretty much covering shipping expense. That is customer service. I was choosing between the DD CSL 5 and C5. Choose C5 partly because of fanatec poor customer service.
Great video! It helps to make customers aware of these things before it's too late and lots of money is wasted. I would hope Fanatec would improve but this isn't the first time their customer support has been this bad. Majority of the 2010s was a bad time for their customer support but they didn't seem to care because there wasn't any competition at the time. They did improve it considerably though around the pandemic but it's sad to see that they have slipped into their same old ways again. Hopefully the fact that there is competition now keeps them on their toes and they bounce back and make substantial long-lasting improvements.
Well done on daring to speak out! If we behaved even 10 percent of the time as badly as that to our customers, we would be out of business. And i would also like to underline here, SRC/Jeremy is one of the few reviewers who is unbiased and does not insist on getting free review products and demands to keep them - looking at OCRacing and Boosted here... And keep that in mind when they wax lyrical about Fanatecs gear. To that effect, OC was making a video about how the ancient F1 wheel from Fanatec is a hidden gem...
Yeah it’s ridiculous how quiet these “unbiased” reviewers with Fanatec sponsorships are. 😂 Just checked out some of your gear and I think I’m going to pick up that GTS series 2 soon. That quite the value!
I charged back because their communication sucks and they wouldn’t answer my email. As soon as I did the chargeback, they shipped my products. Unfortunately, I don’t know when or what is going or arrive.
Appreciate the honesty. I am a bit worried now that i just dumped a bunch of money over Black Friday to completely upgrade my setup. Now im worried. I figured busiest time of the year, will be delayed sure. But this sounds much worse than that
I got all my stuff from the black friday sale, I ordered many things on 4 separate orders. It took them a week to even start shipping them and my delivery dates kept changing on each order from Day 1 to arriving a couple days earlier and then right back to the original date. I got it all but that excitement roller coaster sucked. it's good stuff when you actually get it.
@@szlash280z yeah, i am still dealing with that. I also have 4 orders. One has arrived. Another says shipping complete. Which hasn't shipped yet. Its asinine to mark it as shipping complete if it hasnt shipped. And two others still processing. I have received two emails regarding shipping dates. But they were both delays. I regret ordering from them, but only because i have heard so many other complaints now that i am not sure how it will arrive and what i will have to deal with if its not correct. I should have just gone with moza or something instead. But i guess we will see. Praying for the best.
Which is why I always prefer to buy from retailers than from the manufacturer. At least retailers usually have the item in stock and are used to high volume orders.
This is what I'll be doing when I leave Fanatec's ecosystem. I keep seeing people getting burned by Fanatec's QA and customer service and now it feels like its only a matter of time until I will be screwed too. Starting with my next set of pedals, I am going through a retailer. No more of this direct to customer shit.
@@wwjnz9263 Immediately what made me look at Moza, Simagic and the other brands instead of Fanatec, not only does it look more cost effective, I can get it from a retailer like GTOmega (when there is stock ofc) and wait for a day for delivery, not 5 years while someone figures out how order fulfilment and logistics works....
The exact same thing happened to me in Canada. I ordered a bundle with the universal hub on September 1st. Half a dozen emails later and I still don't have my QR-lite. I ended up ordering a metal QR to get it operational.
Great video. Yes, they've been pretty useless for me too. I bought a DD GT Pro which took over a month to arrive. When ordering it, their site popped up recommending to add the new QR2 to the order, and that it would come fitted if I did. I'm a newbie to sim racing, but knew that the QR2 was their new standard, so I paid the extra. Not only did it not come fitted (not really an issue), I only got the base side, so it's useless. After many emails back and forth, the best they've offered is free shipping if I buy the other half. I only bought it because their site suggested adding it to the order!
This horror situation has been going on since August. Now there are hundreds of messages of complaints on the forum, it's impossible to read them all, because they had a Black Friday sale with truly absurd prices. It's like they need money, a lot of money, now! And even before it wasn't much better. 2 years ago I had an RMA that lasted 2 months, and the product was returned to me with the same defect. But no TH-camr has ever talked about Fanatec's horrible customer service. Now, however, it is in free fall. This is the first video I've seen that talks about it.
Thank you so much for this video! I am a hostage of the Fanatec Ecosystem. And even at their best their customer service was bad. Now it's unforgivable and quality control and gone down as well. I hope this inspires some more Sim Streamers to address this mess.
I recently got the CSL DD bundle a few days ago, set it up and gave it a quick test and it worked fine. came home from work the next day and tuned the base on and there was no rotation input or it jumped from like 15% to 67% and wouldn't give me any FFB, spent 9 hours messing with drivers, installing a fresh windows with still not joy, emailed support no reply yet so I thought sod it I will strip the base down and I eventually removed the motherboard from the motor power pins while connect to power a few sparks from the motor terminal and thought well that's killed it for good, put it back together and plugged it in in hopes it wasn't fully dead and low and behold the shorting of the motor fixed the issue and the base is working fine... What a weird experience and issue with their product. took 4 days to actually get the item due to ups being absolutely rubbish and not letting me pay the fee.... first time buying from Fanatec and its been a very weird and stressful experience.
Just for Balance I've been buying Fanatec for year (5+) and I've just purchased (and received) my QR2 kit - I've never run into any issues during my time with them ..Im sorry to hear your story -
Man I made a video about pre-ording the CS DD bases and mentioned Fanatec Customer support as one of the reasons why you should wait. I was so surprised how many people said they've never had any issues with their customer support. I've had the worst support from them which is a shame because the equipment itself is pretty good for the most part.
First off if I may say, your honesty is extremely refreshing to come across in today's world & is welcomed by many. I've been doing Sim Racing for about 20 years now & have observed FANATEC repeatedly fail in their customer service department more times than I care to count. Earlier this year I treated myself & bought a bunch of DD Gear. And not one bit of it is FANATEC for no other reason than because the care/concern they provide to their customers strongly appears to be next to none.
Go with sim magic believe me from experience ! Moza is affordable and they are making the right noises but they are hot garbage aswell , i just sold my r5 setup and r9 setup as i lost all faith in them , customer support is laughable product is cheap and not durable, output ratings are wildly innacurate , the software updates ruin the wheelbases my r9 went from something i enjoyed to something i dif not recognise after one update and no matter much i changed software versions or rolled back firmware or recaliberated it never felt the same and i hated it and hated using it so i sold the lot and got out of moza and moved to different brand .for disclosure i went with asetek bundle due to arrive on wednesday so we will see how that journey pans out
@@bodasafur6078 thanks for relating your experience. Been leaning towards simagic, but it'll be quite a while before direct drive is in my future. Just because a manufacturer is based in China doesn't mean I'll write them off. Clearly fanatec being based in Germany hasn't done eff all.
@@eddiedevereoxford4995 Yeah but I have seen number of CSL DDs frying itself unlike Simagic/Moza bases. Fanatec still manufactures in China, only difference is that Simagic/Moza can iterate quickly since they have all the suppliers nearby. Fanatec can't even manage to hit one launch date they set. I was fairly happy with their products but after delaying the Clubsport DD twice I have moved to Simagic Alpha with FX pro and never looked back. The quality is night and day difference.
I've been hearing about them having issues for years. Quality control, shipping, and customer support. When I upgraded from my G27, I went Simagic, I had a slight issue, not only did I have a reply in minutes, it was with video to show me exactly how to remedy it. You earned a like for your usage of our favorite four letter f word too.
Thanks so much for this, I ordered the shifter during BF they made a mistake with the invoice and returned it to themselves, then I had to chase them and still have neither my money or shifter. How can a company have such bad customer service?
Same, ordered GT DD Pro with some add-ons and no updates in a week even though they list "completely shipped". Making me wish I would've just went with Logitech G Pro.
@@DarkKnight896 also the other users explained the completely shipped just means they sent the order to the warehouse. And marks it as shipped so you can't cancel the order. I just hope the wait is worth it.
Its a dirty trick they pull with the order status. Mine went straight to completely shipped. A month ago!! My shipment is now stuck in customs as Fanatec have failed to include the correct documents with it. You would think they were new to all this
Couldn’t agree more had to wait 9 weeks for my ready to race bundle arrived yesterday. Customer service is terrible but better in different regions depending on where u live . Uk a bit longer at moment due to some issues in there warehouse. But for the money well worth the wait coming from a thrustmaster tx the difference is unbelievable. Played for 7 hours straight yesterday high force no issues so far thank god , because if u do get unlucky having to send a unit bk to these guys is gonna be a pain 🤦♂️🤞🏽
Placed a large order with Fanatec on 21 Feb for product available on 28 Feb. Sent my first email today to check on the shipping status. Will post an update when I hear back...
I was more than happy to throw my full Fanatec set up in the dumpster and switch to Moza. Had a csw v2.5, v3 inverted, shifter, handbrake. Barely 2 years of use (far from daily) and every piece was failing in different ways and I was tired of having to open things up just to get things working for a week or 2 before the problems would resurface.
I was strictly fanatec for over 10 years. They have some of the worst customer service and no respect for any of their long standing customers (that have spent THOUSANDS with them). After my DDPro's pedal plug fell out of the back of the wheelbase, I gave up... sold all my Fanatec gear (totaling well over $3,000 on ebay)... And picked up a Logitech DD, based on YOUR REVIEW! Thank you for posting this and making me feel even more comfortable with leaving the Leviathan known as Fanatec.
Thanks for the video. I have had issues with my last 2 orders. One i placed on the 5th sept eventually arrived on 29 oct after much hassle with Fanatec and UPS. The second I placed for 10 wheelside QR2 and 1 base side, plus monte carlo rally wheel and some other items on 4 Nov. this has been delayed twice and has apparently benn waiting shipment for 4 working days now. They say it could take up to 5 to actually ship. Then I have to deal with UPS and import duty. I am surprised that no other youtuber has mentioned any of this through all of the recent new releases from Fanatec. Thank you again for making this video.
I ordered 2 QR2 wheels sides and 1 base side QR, the availability got pushed back 4 times, then finally a month later they shipped, all 3 items got scanned in at the same post office and same time in Victoria but all shipped individually. All arriving at separate times days apart. Why would they send 3 small boxes separately? I also got the 14 days to respond to emails email, lol what a joke.
Never buying anything from these guys again. Bought a podium dd1 bundle and only after almost two months they sent me an email saying the wheelbase was not in stock the time i bought and I now have to wait until april if I want my order to be shipped. Needless to say I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. At this point I ask myself if they even know I cancelled the order. F those guys, don't buy from them.
I'm having the same experience, I have ordered the SQ V 1.5 shifter as soon as it was on offer. Sent them an email, regarding information as to when they will be shipping and that if it is going to take a substantially long time I would cancel the order but only got an automated reply.
I ordered the shifter too during black friday weekend. I was expecting longer delay (because of sales) but mine was shipped all most immediately, should arrive next week. My first time buying fanatec gear. I´ve been hesitant because they didn´t have the best reputation on quality and after service years ago.
You must be one of the lucky few. It is my first time buying Fanatec gear too although I do own V3 pedals which I have bought used but it also appears that it is going to be my last.
"Unexpected explosive corporate growth". The Pandemic became a huge commercial opportunity for Fanatec and they failed to properly increase their ability to supply the demand, and more importantly, move part of the nicely welcomed income to the customer service and support teams and processes. PURE GREED.
Thank you! Finally, someone with some reach to call them out. I bought DD 8nm at launch. I had so many problems, and still do. Wheel disconnects, and I have to unscrew that collar, pull out QR, back in, and screw it again with an ungodly amount of force.
Had the same issue. Contacted support and they RMA'd the unit. This is a known issue and they should take care of it even if it's out of warranty. I had issues with the power plug of my old CSL Elite base that was out of warranty and they still replaced it.
@@regibson23 I had so many problems, I had to send it back. But wheel disconnects remained, but are less common now. Instead of daily, they are now monthly. I should clarified that in my post. And when dealing with their customer service, it was 1 mail/reply per week. Fanatec is DONE. You're better off buying Asetek, even though I hate them because they held a patent for CPU watercooling and held back innovations. But their simracing products are good, ecosystem open.
I'm glad I went Simagic, better quality, good customer service for me at least. Fanatec seems to spend all its money on advertising instead of customer support and quality.
They’re the only ones offering components that allow you to build a rig that natively works on all three platforms. That’s why I went with them and that’s what I think keeps them afloat. I really do hope more manufacturers (hell, literally anyone at this point) offer simultaneous Xbox/PS5/PC support.
@@szlash280z definitely not. Still showing "in process" for everyone. I'm guessing january/February. They sent a message out stating basically they will be down for "inventory" the first 10 days of January too.
I was waiting 1 week for one email, and another 1 week for second reply. But warranty was cleard fast, i send my base in monday to Germany from Slovenia and got it back in next monday...
Finaly someone is speaking out even us beeing from Germany we have absolutely no benefits from beeing closer to them…. Waiting now since exactly one month for my order. Emails absolut no answers… its like they frozed now 2000 euro of mine…
Reasons like this I gave MOZA a try and can't say their CS is any better. Was "assured" the product was "in stock" and ready to ship before ordering and then months later still nothing but blanket cut and paste emails. Customer Service seems to be a lost art that died with the 20th Century.
Yeap. It also took 4 weeks to even get payouts as an affiliate that made them much more money than you earn. Took me many many emails, first nice then asking if my agent there is alive to respond. Ridiculous service. Was going to buy a product to review on my channel, but decided not to because of the poor communication. I’m a growing channel to and been with them for many years. They have declined again for sure. Would rather spend my $$ on other manufacturers to review than Fanatec. You only get good service from them if your a big channel reviewing their gear and those channels don’t say nada.
When the sequential shifting spring in my Fanatec shifter broke, I tried to order a new one from them. The spring was $5. I was only allowed to purchase one spring. There was a $10 "handling" fee and they charged me $12 shipping for something that weighed less than 10 grams and fits in an envelope. All told, $29 for a damn spring. And they wouldn't sell me two or three of them. I'm just never going to be their customer again; ecosystem be damned.
Thank you so much for the heads-up man! I was planning to upgrade to fanatec soon, but now I'll wait. That's a bit of money to invest for a customer service headache waiting to happen. I'll explore my options and do more research. Cheers man, you're the best.
I had 4 orders. The first one was the 19th November and it’s actually been delivered. The next one 21st November has had a UPS label created for 3 weeks now but has not left the warehouse. The 3rd one 24th November (my biggest order) absolutely nothing has happened. The fourth one on 27th November UPS label created 6 days ago and guess what, not left the warehouse. I’ve spent roughly £1600 across all 4 orders. If I wasn’t already part of the Fanatec eco system I would have definitely bought from a different company. If there’s no movement by the middle of January then I’ll just have to cancel and get my money back through the CC company.
That's funny cuz thrustmaster was willing to exchange mine with a fast response when my t300 was having issues. I fixed it on my own though after figuring things out.
8 years fanatec usar, CSW 2.5 until 2019 DD2 upgrade, handbrake, shifter, hubs, 6 wheels, QR1 and now QR2, and all products are perfect. No problems with fw updates or QR1 plug/unplug.
I'm so sad to hear that. I didn't know about this situation when I bought my first combo from Fanatec. I bought a complete gear, pedals, wheel and DD+ on November last year, and still waiting for it. I don't know how long will take, but I really trying to send positive vibes and being optimist to that my order and the other users can arrive soon. I'm really sad about this, after search many months and find a solution to use my PC and PS5 with the same wheel, then it happen this. I hope this can be solved for everyone.
I have had good experiences with their support. Received a DD1 PS edition last Xmas. It was heavily damaged in shipping. Within 3 weeks of sending an email I had a brand new unit.
I placed an order on November 23 and the order was for Christmas. Order was all in stock and as of today December 18 it hasn’t shipped. I hope more people see your video before they place an order.
German Fanatec customer here. I have had an interaction with the support in 2021 or 22 regarding a small metal part in my table clamp which broke off due to fatigue. The german support answered within the time frame that was noted on the website and asked for a picture since I uploaded it incorrectly. I answered and they replied shortly after and just sent me a reinforced one which now comes with all CSL DD table clamps. I had no issues and they seemed to care about me. I can't talk about the international support though especially for the US. Since Fanatec is a German company I guess they can control their German support better than their international one. It also could've changed over time but this is the first time I've heard of these issues.
Order a GT DD Pro + Pedals + Shifter, on pre-order in 28th Feb, Shipping was expected to start on 28th March, I had my travel planned to 28th April - 9 may and I was sending this to a friends house to get it on my trip. They started delay the shipment, first to 1st April them 25th, and them 5 May, Was a dream to get a Fanatec, but I got pissed, cancelled the order and moved to other brand (this one came in 4 days - rseat-europe - lovely support), Fanatec really don't care about the customers!!!
My csl elite v2 pedals loadcell sensor stopped working and it took almost a month for them to answer my customer service request and then another 2 weeks to receive a replacement part. In total 6 weeks to get my pedals back up and running. Imo that’s far too long. They need to put some more money into their customer service rather than so much advertising.
Same situation! Ordered 11/24, order still in process, no response from customer service. QR2 component said available 12/15 and now they pushed that back to 12/29… and are saying they won’t ship anything first week of new year so they can “inventory”
how things can be different , when i odered my full bundle it was here in 2 days. and on my 2nd order it took 3 days to arrive . mayb german delivery is better than to uk , but i hab zero issues with fanatec so far
Many years ago i had the clubsport pedals, the loadcell started misbehaving, contacted customer service and they wanted video proof and after i gave them proof they just stopped answering my mails had to open new warranty case and the same happened again
For everyone… if you have a story or something valid to complain about, make sure you’re contacting support or sharing your story on a forum where you feel it fits. With enough people talking, something must come from it even if it’s another “sorry” email. At least that’s the hope!
Sorry that happened. I've ordered a bunch of stuff during the black friday week and, beside not having received any tracking number (never visible on their website) or order shipped email, I got everything ordered about 2 weeks later.
Because of problems, I’ve been tempted to buy Mozza and converter to use on Ps5 but I’m worried that it won’t work properly and not all games will work.
@@grahamkelly8662 it’s a subpar experience I hear. Best to stick fanatec or look for other fr wheels with console support. Logitech is the only other dad wheel for consoles I know of
Sold my sim gear two years ago and really missed the fun of it. I decided to rebuild and I chose Fanatec DD+ and ecosystem. Really feeling regret right now with that decision from all the stories I've heard. Granted it does say order wont be shipped until all parts are available but seeing your situation makes me wonder and worry a bit.
I’m in same boat. I want Fanatec but scared to drop £1500 plus and wait months or worse, faulty item. I’m on Ps5 so can’t go with the other companies . Anyway I wish you luck with your order and hope it will arrive in good time, fully working with no problems.
I ordered a belt drive wheel from them some 10 years or so ago. Every time I contacted them I was told it was delayed. This carried on for weeks. I eventually managed to speak with someone. They were rude and short with me. I cancelled my order and have never ordered from them again. I went the SC1 route and finally SC2, I could not be happier.
kind of same with me, bought some weeks ago and the mark the orther as "completelly shipped" but in a note they say that even the status it says that's already send, untill we don't get the email from UPS it means that it's not send yet, I asked them because it's being so long, and I was expecting to have my gear in one or two weeks at most. but haven't got any answer, I would not recomend to buy from them untill the "recover" themself from whatever is happening
Thank you. So strange on forums the way complaints are attacked. Are the fanboys really that defensive of a corporation? Very odd, childish viscous attacks on people having problems with their equipment.
The problem is taking the full payment if there isn’t the stock to send out. Least they could do it ticket the item for you and take payment when it’s available. As least this would be ethical . I’ve got £1500 of stuff waiting to be shipped and no idea when it may turn up apart from looking at the UPS on a daily basis in hope it’s moved forward
Was hovering my mouse over the Fanatec buy button. Was for the ready to race bundle. Luckily i held off. Found your channel and watched this. Thank god. Just purchased a used Logitech G pro wheel and pedals for £699….
Ordered a DD+ 2 weeks ago. I was prepared to wait a few months if needed, but after seeing how bad they are treating customers I had to cancel my order. Going with the Asetek La Prima bundle instead. Already shipped w/tracking number only 10 hours after ordering 🤣
After seeing this I'm second guessing the Fanatec Order I was going to place next month. I guess it's back to the drawing board and researching a different company to buy my new rig from. Thank you for informing us.
I have a paperweight dd1 they refused to fix I sent it in twice and second time they claimed it got shipping damage and wouldn’t warranty it. Today I decided to pull it apart see if I can fix it myself I don’t think they even tried to fix it.
Currently dealing with this now. This will be my first DD setup I've ordered (Had a G25 since launch). They've shipped everything, but the order with my wheel base. Even though I got an email that it has been processed a week ago. Still no tracking number or anything. Previously It was already in my possession since that email that it was being processed. I contacted support. They told me to do what I've already said I've done in the initial email. In my Fanatec account; under orders, it's marked that it's been completely shipped.
This is part of the reason I ended going Moza R5 rather than Fanatec DD, since Brexit has ruined any form of shipping from Europe with the whole VAT thing, I did not want to be stuck having to deal with Fanatec should I get any technical issues or anything, and I have heard issues back in the day so i went with a UK supplier for Moza as I would only have to deal with the retailer if I had any issues and it is a retailer i trust
I just don't understand why everyone don't receive their products in a timely manner. I live in California USA and have been a customer since 2019, spent a few grand on equipment and so far, have always got my products within a few days after ordering. I've been hearing from lots of people in Europe that they are not getting their products for weeks or months and it always baffles me to hear this because all of my orders came quickly and I'm all the way in North America. Sorry to all of you experiencing this dilemma. I hope Fanatec fixes all this because they really do have great sim racing equipment and I don't want to see them go under, but they can't keep doing this to their customers either.
I'm building my first setup and I thought the same as you with my first order. Came within a week. Made 4 other orders since then and I'm on day 12 of it showing completely shipped yet still no tracking numbers. We will see. I'm a bit worried about the clubsport DD+ I pre-ordered...
I ordered items on Black Friday due to decent discounts fully aware the customer service & delivery schedules are erratic. Hopeful that at some point relatively soon I'll get the items and they'll be complete. Hindsight is wonderful, if I'd seen this video ten days ago probably wouldn't have ordered.
I did order clubsport v2.5x wheel rim 2 weeks back on black friday and yet to get my order moved from their warehouse. Order is fully processed and unable to cancel the order now and all I get is automated email response from them saying “bla bla bla they are experiencing heavy order traffic BS!!!” .. I feel screwed big time now 🤬
@@regibson23unlikely as they conveniently change the order status to completely shipped almost immediately which then removes the cancel button. One might think they do that on purpose 🤔
Bought a load cell petal a few days before you released this video, and my order said it shipped the next day, but no tracking number. Probably means it hasn’t left the warehouse. I ordered a kit in October, and I had a good experience with them, but I hope my recent order doesn’t change my opinion of them.
Sweet bloody hell. That's a disgusting service. It makes me mad how the EU commission has not investigated Fanatec for this service. 21 days to answer an email🙁🙁. Totally beyond madness their service is.
They are a complete mess at the moment and need to sort it out because the competition has arrived and is disrupting the space in which they operate. My order took 2 months to arrive and basically no communication during that time, it just turned up randomly one day.
Years ago, I had some v2 pedals that had the throttle hall sensor reading low/high every so often e.g. won't reach 100% throttle. I replaced it with the clutch one, and all was ok for a while. Started having the same issue after a few more months, so I looked online to get replacement hall sensor's from fanatec. They don't make that hall sensor model anymore, so I was out of luck, with broken pedals. So I hacked together some better logitech pedals (pulled out of casing, pot covered with blu-tack to prevent dust/etc getting in, extended the pedal plate higher, then bolted down to rig at correct angle). Been going for around 3 years, and only once had to fix the throttle pedal with a 2b pencil.
I've thought I've got the same problem like your - not getting my gear from Fanatec. But it's was UPS fault... Some parts was delivered (probably first batch) but second (including QR) was not. Only weekend helps me out. I went to the 24-hour UPS branch and thanks to a nice employee who personally went to the warehouse and found my packages waiting to be sent back, I now have everything back mounted to my rig. Check this, maybe helped someone. CU on track.
Cheers for this heads up mate. Was literally going to pull the trigger and upgrade from my t300 to a DD wheel. ANd since fanatec seem to be in your face advertising like everywhere! It seemed like the way to go. Im back to square 1 now haha. Cos' im not sending my hard earned off into some black hole.
From one fanatec user to you, thankyou for speaking out. I (thankfully) haven't experienced any issues with product or customer service but having seen a lot of people experiencing a similar issue to you it's clear that it needs highlighted and fixed as soon as possible. They're only going to lose support if it continues and especially now that there's more DD competition.
I think it's a little too late to "fix asap." They've been caught repeatedly screwing over their customer base by accepting their money and not providing the product in due time. Maybe some Sim Racers have money available to sit in other people's bank accounts making them interest & aren't in need of what they ordered, but after doing 20+ years of online Sim Racing now I can assure you that is NOT the majority of us in the Sim Racing Community.
@jonproctor3739 all due respect, my comment was simply thanking the creator for speaking out against the company and highlighting his experience (an experience which thankfully I haven't had). I'm struggling to see how/why you've found a way to be offended by my comment as your main retort is a point that I didn't even mention haha. Thank you again sim racing corner.
I’ve wanted to order Fanatec for 2 years but setup to start will cost £1500 and I’m worried it will go bad. Faulty items etc. Damn, I was all set to order after changing my mind a million times, now I’m not sure. Wish Fanatec was in U.K. or sold on Amazon. Then problem ms would instantly get sorted.
UK simracer here - I’ve had excellent service from Abruzzi, Race Anywhere and Puresim in the last few months - for £1500 you could have a fantastic rig with non-Fanatec products!
@@davidbaulcomb slight problem, I’m on Ps5. I already own Logitech g29 and only other options I have for direct drive , is Logitech new offering but I’m sure you’ll probably agree that it’s not a good buy. Only 1 wheel and no add Ons and Fanatec. Oh I could go thrustmaster but that’s way less quality then Fanatec , so that isn’t an option.
I'm going with the Logitech Pro for PS5/PC. Everyone seems to say it has some of the best ffb and they've definitely got stuff in the pipeline. Works out a lot cheaper with 25% discount than Fanatec with similar pedals for me after tax/shipping in the UK
@@Buzzz1ng if you do go with Logitech, could you let me know your opinion? If I knew Logitech will deff release plenty of wheels, and gearstick plus handbrake, I’d possibly order the set but even if Logitech do release new wheels, something tells me the quality won’t be great. Like Fanatec CSL elite Wrc, F1 podium for Ps5, and many many other wheels, look incredible and Logitech version just looks ok. I honestly think if I tried Logitech g pro, I’d probably fall in love with performance but it’s quite a lot of money to drop and I’m just nervous. Been about a year and still no wheels. That’s crazy. I think Logitech should have released direct drive with 3 or 4 wheels available. I mean it’s been a year or so. How will you feel if you buy and another year and a half and no wheels available ? I’d be gutted. Especially as I love rally and fully round wheels are best and Logitech wheel isn’t totally round. Either is my Logitech g29 but I only paid 215 for wheels plus pedals so not a big deal. Where as g pro plus pedals cost about £1250.
Will do mate. I've pulled the trigger as blue light 25% discount code was randomly working on them today. I'm not too bothered about loads of wheels so can understand if that's your thing but they've definitely got the main stuff coming from what reps are implying, they just won't say until it's ready. I think the standard wheel is quality, much better than Fanatec DD Pro
I think if companies like Moza, Cammus, or Asetek did this they'd be torn to shreds but Fanatec has been around so long and is so popular I think people are a bit more forgiving when they fall short.
youtubers wont say anything they get their shit for nothing
I just posted a video also calling them out. Disgusting company!
It's the community for me. Someone actually reached out and genuinely helped. 😊
Kudos for being honest, we need more integrity from sim racing youtubers
I just posted a video denouncing Fanatec, and I'm so glad you commented here, because you are one of the youtubers I follow.
I have other stuff on order but it doesn’t arrive till January

The irony of them ALWAYS getting new equipment to the popular Sim Racing YT channels quickly and with zero fuss though...
Charge back on your credit card is the solution. You did not get your complete order so you will win. I had a camera missing a part and got a $4k charge back and got to keep the partial order.
It is a money decision but it doesn't give you a normal product experience. I mean, without QR the rest of the pack is just useless
This is what I'll be doing soon if nothing happens with my order. A month now and I still have nothing to show for it. No option to cancel. Im giving it till Monday then Im going to charge back. Unfortunately I dont have the means to order an alternative whilst I wait for the refund
In the same boat. Wish I read the forums before placing an order with this excuse of a company . Worst customer service I have ever experienced
Thank you for the video. Fanatec has an awesome ecosystem but lacks of quality support department, and it's a pety and a shame.
Its sad when giving money to shareholders is more important than serving paying customers.
Just checked out some of your gear and I think I’m going to pick up that GTS series 2 soon.
But this sounds much worse than that
Same, I am 100% regretting purchasing from them now
I got all my stuff from the black friday sale, I ordered many things on 4 separate orders.
Same here! sucks
I still havent recieved anything from the order I placed 14th November. Going to refund via my bank and order from somebody else at this point
Yep I hear you on this. I’ve had a lot of Fanatec gear over 4 years and now I’m selling everything to get out of fanatec. They did me dry pricks
Just for Balance I've been buying Fanatec for year (5+) and I've just purchased (and received) my QR2 kit - I've never run into any issues during my time with them ..Im sorry to hear your story -
Finally someone said what we’ve all been feeling. I like many people are still waiting for orders. Quick to charge slow to ship.
PS5 though..
One of the reasons why I've decided to look towards moza or simagic when I move to direct drive. Thanks for sharing what your experience was.
Same here
Moza n Simagic are Chinese firms - good luck with all that entails
First time buyer of fanatec here, I regret my purchase and I haven't even got it yet.
Yeah, this is old news, sadly.
Thanks so much for this, I ordered the shifter during BF they made a mistake with the invoice and returned it to themselves, then I had to chase them and still have neither my money or shifter. How can a company have such bad customer service?
3 months. No excuses whatsoever. Come on Fanatec! You can and must do better.
I bought that same part from SRM based in the UK a few weeks ago. Original Fanatec part. No vat or import fees. My QR1 came in a couple of days
Yeah it's about time someone calls them out. I made an order 10 days ago and haven't even got a tracking number.
(Update no tracking number yet)
Same, ordered GT DD Pro with some add-ons and no updates in a week even though they list "completely shipped". Making me wish I would've just went with Logitech G Pro.
@@DarkKnight896 I order a dd1 with a steering wheel bundle. Pretty expensive. Now I wish I went the moza route instead.
@@Laffer8 been 10 days since my order. nothing. no tracking. no response. ill give it 10 more days, ready to cancel
"Unexpected explosive corporate growth". The Pandemic became a huge commercial opportunity for Fanatec and they failed to properly increase their ability to supply the demand, and more importantly, move part of the nicely welcomed income to the customer service and support teams and processes. PURE GREED.
As someone considering upgrading from my G923 in the near future, this has been very informative, thank you.
Yea, I'm in the same position. Worried about my DD+ that's supposed to ship on December 12th.
Cs dd and podium rally modules have all be pushed back twice over 4 weeks plus and waiting for most in the usa😢
@@chrisreynolds6152 it's after the 12th now, did they ship it on time?
Who else is waiting for the order on 24-11-23. On the website everything was in stock.
Yep me too look on there blog posts it horrible there’s so many people who ordered who have not had any info and are stuck in limbo
My order from the 23 has now changed to on way and is in the ups system
@@Northbourne12 already had an order that was on the way, ended up getting returned to sender. Good luck.
I hope fanatec learns from this but every year its the same..
Thanks for the honest video. Fanatec customer service has always been awful. I stopped buying their products a few years ago due to frustration.
My very first fanatec purchase came DOA. That was my first and last purchase from them. All my gear is moza and I’ve never had an issue
My friend, I understand your frustration and I have just posted a video raising my voice also.
kind of same with me, bought some weeks ago and the mark the orther as "completelly shipped" but in a note they say that even the status it says that's already send, untill we don't get the email from UPS it means that it's not send yet, I asked them because it's being so long, and I was expecting to have my gear in one or two weeks at most. but haven't got any answer, I would not recomend to buy from them untill the "recover" themself from whatever is happening
£699 is a really good deal! Good pick up. I reviewed the G Pro a while back, the FFB is extremely good, and certainly superior to the CSL DD.
this is the worst costumer support i have haver had
ordered a full sim setup last week and it arrived yesterday. No problems for me.
Ordered a DD+ 2 weeks ago. I was prepared to wait a few months if needed, but after seeing how bad they are treating customers I had to cancel my order. Going with the Asetek La Prima bundle instead. Already shipped w/tracking number only 10 hours after ordering 🤣
I bought fanatec product back in December 2 … we in Dec 18 I still haven’t gotten anything in the mail
I can’t cancel order either … it’s like it doesn’t want to let the customers have their money back
Mate
Mate I am waiting since 22 nov :,(
After seeing this I'm second guessing the Fanatec Order I was going to place next month.
3 years Fanatec free and don't miss it at one bit.
.
Found your video in desperation after waiting a month for an order and still nothing. Nice to see someone speaking the truth 👏👍
Ordered on BF over $1k of stuff and nothing yet. I will give them a month. I will file a dispute with the bank if I don't have them.
I’m in the same boat. Bought the Formula V2X steering wheel.
You can still cancel your order.
@@regibson23 thought has crossed my mind but already paid for so next hassle would be getting the outlay back.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks for this video, was just about to buy a direct drive from them, will go to moza now.
