I genuinely think its a troll cause that one “easter egg” clip led him to a Minecraft world.
At first i thought it was real, but he is favoriting comments which call it spliced run or a troll, so seems likely it's just for attention.
i feel like he already lost, he's just doing this now for attention and to spite spiff

As he says, it just makes it even more sad, because if this guy actually practiced and tried legitimately, he would probably be able to get a decent rank.
The closest I have gotten to doing and speed runs myself was just messing around in Bloodborne and trying to rush through bosses/see if I can pull off any skips, so I don't have much to go off of to be fair
There’s some really famous faked speedruns where top players (in the top 5) submit a fake world record using splicing because they’re frustrated that they can’t get the world record, and since they’re top 5 they are very convincing since they know the limits of the game and use well-known skips

@@tpd1864blake Another good example was that one Super Mario 64 speedrunner who faked a world record (16-star run, I think?) and was only exposed because he bragged about it several years after the fact. Experience helps immensely with both faking runs and getting away with it.
A third cut happened at the 1:26 mark in this "speedrun". Is it just me, or are there way more cuts in this faked run than in the last one?

I don’t really care for speedruns if I’m being honest, though seeing people like this splice clips so obviously and still getting undeserved credit hurts me in a way I can’t describe.

It looks like the cut going into the room with Huggy was so that they could hit the first door and trigger the cutscene without including it in the run. If you look very closely, after the cut Huggy already has the key in his hand, despite there being no way for that to have triggered yet
i am very tired and am using this video as background music for art so I wasn't really paying attention to the *finer* details, which is how I watched the entire thing thinking it was about baldi's basics. A game I haven't thought about in years. I was very confused as to why the prize for a wr is a plush from a completely different game, but that wasn't the point I realized.

The part where he entered the Make a friend machine area was not a cut because it just loads and it makes a weird flash for people who load the map.
Facts. I hadn’t done enough any% runs at that point myself to distinguish
To point out how nuts the progress has been. All tapes no major glitches is now 6 seconds faster than no majors glitches was then. All tapes WR would be 11th for any%. No major glitches is sub-7 which is good for top 20 and the current any% WR is 4:29 which is only 14 seconds behind the original cheat run
I love how after faking a 4 minute Speedrun it was done legitimately
I am not accusing you of this, but I just had the galaxy brain moment of "if he uploads the fake speedruns, he then gets those views and the debunk views" and for a second I felt ascended. Then I realized no way would you do that, but imagine the big brain play of debunking yourself. tactical genius

I honestly think that’s it. I refuse to believe that an actual human seriously uploaded these, and they aren’t following the usual behaviors of a troll either

@@LuisMartinez-sv1md there’s plenty reason. It would be a very clever maneuver from the dude’s perspective. He gets both views for the fake run and the expose, makes sure the fake gets traction, and gets to be a hero for exposing it.
Looking through the comments on poppy woppy the channel clearly knows that people know it’s fake and never even tried to hide it. It’s confusing as to why this guy would even bother with a runner who is clearly not being taken seriously by even himself if he didn’t at the very least want to milk views from it
my favorite thing about the speedrun community is that they even find shorter ways to say each others names, can't wait until y'all just start shouting a couple consonants at each other
I was shocked to see you're a small creator. And i was gonna subscribe allready, but now i diffinatley will because. Ill allways support my fellow small creators. Speed running is honestly very cool to me, not just the execution, but the planning before hand. I personally am not good at speedrunning any game, but i have mad respect for those who do. And its nice to hear someone who knows what they're doing talk about it.

Comment from someone who used to live with perpetual lag: it can sometimes be difficult to differentiate between lag and a splice. I'm still so used to having lag and desync that I don't immediately register splices. I noticed something was off in the splices of this video before they were pointed off, but it wasn't obvious to me that they were splices.

Trust me, speedruns are full of ridiculous things that most people won’t understand why or what they are doing. This is especially true in a new game like Poppys playtime that most people wouldn’t know well.

He prob screwed up really badly somehow in the electric area at the start and he auto saved back, so that’s prob why he cut it
Edit- second cut was when he prob missed the jump lol
From what I can see, the cut in the first room with Huggy was to hit the panel early so that huggy already had the key in his hand, to skip the animation where the power fails the first time you try the door
There’s another cut around 6:39 that you might have missed. Looks like that vent jump took a few tries too.

As speedrunner, It hurts me to see people like this, to fool non-speedrunners into believing they own the world record, when someone else actually has the record, and then they get called a faker because they saw that a fake speedrunner has the world record. Can we make a rule for publishing speedruns on TH-cam, that they put a link to their submitted runs in the video description?

Decided to check back on poppy woppy, to see what he's up to now. Still cheating speedruns, making clickbait trash, claiming he got a wr with a time that was both cheated and (even if it wasn't) NOT EVEN THE WORLD RECORD. Also he's running 10 livestream at a time which are all clickbait. What a legend.

Well you always have to call out cheaters, or else the behaviour is overlooked. It's important to dissuade people.

The best thing to do here is honestly to just not even dislike and leave it be because when they get a dislike it's like a bad thing for them kinda but they get more good feedback from it because that still shows that people watch it and show feedback so TH-cam will end up suggesting it more than if u didn't put a dislike and just leave it be

i don't know if someone mentioned it already (probably) but in the first cut around 3:50 (1:30 in the "speedrun" video) they cut out the power/key cutscene as their hand wasn't on the pad long enough and they even look at the key before any key sound cue happens

It boggles my mind he does some legit glitches but also splices and cheats.. like.. only time heard of a cheater contributing to a speedrun was like a Paper Mario guy inspired people to actually replicate his hack on hardware and it changed the way they ran the game since it was a good skip or whatever.. and also the cheater did fess up and was like "it was mostly to see *if* we can do X then Y would be easier or what else can we find"

I watch a lot of runners on alot of different games . I have never seen or even heard of a runner announcing their new times ahead of actually getting those times
Because thats literally impossible unless they got a time machine they can estimate but they can't say "oh yeah my speedrun is gonna be 100%" Thwy can only really say thats their goal.

So I just want to share this sorta funny thing my brain just spawned on me - when I'm tired and I close my eyes I sometimes see dream-like sequences but am still awake, and when closing my eyes for a few seconds while Spiff was talking and not showing anything, I saw a scene of him meeting this guy in real life at a restaurant and smugly revealing he was completing a speedrun at that very exact moment and Woppy was mortified...
It says 3:54 seconds but the time was 4:05 or so, 50 seconds and move is actually the next number in the minute section so they could of put “Almost 4 minutes”
I just watched that last vid and I got recommended this lol
