At this point I have to say a massive thank you to you all for the positivity shown . As you can see from my channel, I do not use it for much .lol. but as a huge fan of reaction videos I thought if I was ever gonna do one now is the time because I was so excited about this come back . So I say thank you for the comments, for giving it to me 🎵😉
On another note , I would love to do another reaction video (without saying "uummm" every 5 seconds ) 😂 however I genuinely don't see the point of reacting to something I have seen or heard before as it then just becomes less real. This is therefore an issue as I've seen most things that have peaked my interest already (queen at live aid, Dimash SOS and most of Celine Dion's incredible performances) Sooooo feel free to keep suggesting and I will keep my eyes out for anything that seems to be causing a stir . Plus November 5th will certainly bring more ABBA .
    Thank you again !
    Live long and prosper 🖖
    Dion x

This catchy tune hides the highly symbolic lyrics of the introduction. Emotional story-telling at its best, as only ABBA can deliver!
She’s sitting alone, in the park, kids and youth long gone, on a bench that’s getting cold, uncomfortable. It’s getting dark (old age, death), it starts to rain (tears, nostalgia, regrets). She makes one last attempt (after 40 years?) to reunite with a loved one (music, youth, old friends, us the fans), hoping she doesn’t get shut down, turned away, rejected, dismissed. Luckily she gets invited in - the apartment is unchanged, familiar, comfortable, warm - nothing changed, she’s glad, it’s all good, after all these years, after everything, there’s still love and hope, old and new together making us who we are, richer, more true... Brilliant, bloody brilliant!!!
In the September of their years, this master song is filled with insight, acceptance, kindness, honesty, nostalgia, and hope - and is a great production. PURE ABBA - PURE MUSIC!!! Benny’s music, Björn’s lyrics, and Agnetha’s delivery are WINNERS once again… ❤️☝🏻

Last night, I listened to this song on repeat and sobbed. I am 48, so ABBA was a staple of my formative years. Is it the nostalgia? Is it knowing that my dad would have loved to see this day and thinking how I would love to have been able to hear it with him? Or is it just the ability of ABBA to sing a story that speaks to the universal soul? I dont know...but I feel validated to know that I am not the only one to have been brought to tears.

Lisa, your message has really struck a chord with me. I am 59 years old and ABBA was part of my coming of age. The last record album my father bought was ABBA and he was born in 1931. Their music transcends generations, cultures, and politics. I lost my parents in 2017. When I heard “Don’t shut me out” it brings me back to the 70s and to them. I just started to cry. It’s just so incredible how powerful of an effect ABBA has on so many people, of so many different backgrounds and age ranges all over the world and they have always stayed true to themselves and truly humble and down to earth. I too would stay up every week listening to Casey Kasem and praying that their latest single would climb higher and higher. So many time I felt cheated that American radio would lose interest in playing ABBA once the second or 3rd single from an album got released…..and other times I wish I could bang the record companies upside the head with a shovel for picking the wrong follow up single song. I knew the moment “Money Money Money” entered the charts that the American public just wouldn’t be feeling it. I could have spit nails when they didn’t follow up “Take a Chance on Me” with “Hole in Your Soul”…..”Voulez Vous” should have been a top ten winner but not a single person I know had ever heard it played on the radio. It’s like a conspiracy was going on…..and following up “The Winner” with “Super Trooper” and not “On and On and On”? I knew “Super Trooper” was just too simple and dopey to catch any credibility whatsoever. One moment that does stand out was listening to an AOR station in San Diego CA and hearing “The Visitors” being played right after an Ozzy Osborne song. That to me was the ultimate vindication . So sad it was never duplicated or repeated elsewhere. American radio really did snub them.

So great to see your reaction and your grasp of the depth of not only the music, but also the lyrics. We feel the same as you-knowing this is ABBA but not knowing what is coming next. That only happens once per song and is a rare gift. It sounds like they picked up right where they left off. It’s one you don’t want to end.

I can’t wait for the new album. It’s a gift from ABBA to the world at a time when we are hungry for change of spirit , it’s pure and magical, filled with the energy of love and happiness after what the world has just gone through for two plus years . Hallelujah joyfulness is back. They have the uncanny ability to bring out joy inspire of life’s heartaches

Everybody loves Abba, so true. I wasnt crazy about them in the 70's ( rock guy) but I was a bit of a musical snob. I listen to those songs now and I cant believe how much they mean to me now. The new songs, Love em! How they can drop these songs after 40 years, crazy.

I was at the press event in London when we first heard the two songs and everyone in the room was just blown away, it was so emotional! That's something no-one can do better than ABBA ... bring people together with MUSIC!!!

Great reaction video! I think the one thing that strikes me is that the sound is only identifiable with ABBA, and no one else. Their overlapping harmonies are very unique. It's like the Beach Boys in that no one else can sing that way. Thanks from Canada!

It is ABBA, they have a distinct sound, and all these years have passed, and their magic music making is still fantastic! I know every ABBA song, and it felt strange to not be able to sing along with these new songs (right away anyway, I know 'I Still have Faith in You" after listening to it for hours and hours) fantastic ABBA ❤ ♥ 💖

It's more like they never have been paused an if you close your eyes you'll agree their voices sounds PHENOMENAL!!!! and very YOUTHFUL (like in their 40s)!!!!
ABBA returned with a big bang and takes us in their time capsule back to a better, more carefree future 🥰🥰

Abba have always been emotional, I grew up with abba, my childhood in the 1970's, and going to woolies to get the latest, and going with my parents to see Mamma Mia and they both cried with the memories, standing on the table of my auntie's house in Glasgow in 1979, with my scots cousin, singing into hairbrushes, hi Fiona, now in New Zealand married to a Kiwi, Just get those flares out, riding bikes, watching charlies angels,, now we are middle aged, and I find this to be the most emotional time of my life, my youth has gone, my children have left, but there is more, I hope........

I really like your comments and the feelings you put over. I've been listening to them since the mid 70s when I was very young. On hearing this song, it just floored me emotionally and I'm a guy lol. It just whipped me back to the late 70s, dancing to Voulez Vous in a Majorca disco and hearing their songs everywhere. I remember coming back from holiday with some of their singles in Spanish. Back in those days their music was everywhere. I wish I could go back in time !!

Lovely sentiments Dion, and felt by many across the world.
Music unites us always, but especially in times of difficulty.
It's true, it is weird because it sounds like a long-lost recording from the 70s which was found in an attic... but not.
The gift is they recorded it in our time, and in their 70s!
Never underestimate the power of music and singing, regardless of someone's age!
