Salamu Alaikum brother, I think you did great job on the crucifixion question I just want to add Christians claim for believing in Jesus (pbuh) is not do to the crucifixion it is the resurrection. Yes Allah did say he made it look like Jesus was crucified but Allah did not say he made it look like Jesus was ressirected. If a Christian believes crucifixion alone is sufficient to believe in Jesus is God then why don't they believe the hundreds of thousands of people who were crucified by Rome to be God also. There is no miracle in crucifixion the claim of the miracle is the resurrection that is why Christians see Jesus as being God. Which I don't believe.

Second, while I know my family may not have approached the conversation in the best of manners, my father and brother are very special to me and I am very selective when it comes to this topic. I used to be a Christian and Allah blessed me to take my shahada in London in 2012 (12 years ago now alhamdulillah) I then left the UK to Egypt one year later, learned Arabic and memorised what Allah made easy for me of Quran. I also married and had 4 children, one of which I named Muhammad alhamdulillah now my children memorise Quran Allahummah baarik.

Sometimes it makes me angry and i know that it shouldnt but when people claim to know so much and talk like its reality, for example that our Prophet saw. did something cruel to Aisha ra. then my blood just boils, because they talk out of ignorance and they should teach themselves before they talk, and if they dont want to learn then they should be silent. But if they are sincere and want to learn then its understandable but those people will talk more softly about certain aspects. May good increase our goodwill Inshaa Allah and soften our hearts.

@@noniegyachtetit's ok, people need time to process anything. Notice the difference in intonation between the beginning and end. They were calmer in the end. I personally can feel the family afraid for the muslim sister thinking islam is a suspicious cult at the beginning but in the end they agree they should learn more about Islam. And believe me they will because they care about her and they will see the difference in how she will lead her life as a muslim. And find out there's nothing scary about the religion, the teachings of islam and christianity are similar just some points are different.
I am a convert too, and before i converted, i used to think like Samanthas family and worse because i was fed lies by the media and grew with those lies. I didnt want to find any information out either and didn't care to because i heard what i heard, and i took it as the truth. And that's how most people live. But subhanaallah and alhamdullilah, Allah swt pushed me towards the truth and unveiled the cover from my eyes. When i think back to how i used to think and be its mind-boggling, and i can't believe that that was me. Make duah for her family. It's really frustrating when you see things clearly, but the people you love do not. May Allah swt guide all of them ameen! I can’t believe how some will take information from complete strangers online as the truth but won’t listen to their own family members when it comes to Islam. Subhanallah.

Because it's an unknown territory, and they probably found it from christians sources that have agendas against Islam, still that is closer than islam to them. I do understand their doubt. Some people can be attracted to a belief and be blind about it. That's why there are some deviant sects that people follow. The family must think that the sister is brainwashed somehow. That's believable because they don't understand Islam. Researching about it like this and learning bit by bit by asking muslims will help them understand. It's an important step to educate themselves.

They just don't know, it's not that easy for faithful christians or others for that matter to receive new information about Islam, especially when it goes against what they believe their whole life. Let them take their time and see what Islam really is.
This is called confirmation bias. If you hear something that affirms your beliefs, you’ll accept it, while rejecting any contrary evidence that disproves your beliefs. The family is no doubt emotional bc Samantha converted to Islam, and they ended up taking it out on Muhammad. Once they cool down a little, inshallah they’ll research Islam with sincerity and realize the truth.

Asalaam wa alaikum sister Samantha. I feel this so much! I reverted back in 2013 alhamdulillah. It has been really hard with my mom and some of my family. I wear niqab alhamdulillah my family thinks I have an identity crisis. My mom comes from an Hispanic family so majority are catholic. When I try to talk to my mom about Islam she shuts down unfortunately and will not at all just listen. It breaks my heart because she is very much against Islam. She will say things that are spread by western media.. “Muslim women are treated as second class citizens” “Muslim woman are oppressed” whatever you can think of. I know your pain, I always make dua and ask Allah to guide them. I lost my little brother to suicide a week and a half after my daughter was born in 2021. To know I can’t pray for him and ask for Allah to forgive him was very hard and I don’t want to lose my family in a state of disbelief. I also have to remember that these are our tests and they may never be guided, and I remember that as much as I try Allah is the only one that can guide them. May Allah guide our families to the truth and may he bring us closer to Him.
I have a 3 year old and 5 month old little girls. My husbands family is in Jordan and his mother passed away a bit before we married. So my daughter only has one grandma, and it hurts that her grandma hates her religion to top it off my girls are Palestinian and my mom is very pro Israel which hurts my husband. I thank Allah for bringing my husband in my life after I reverted, his family has been such a blessing and took me in when I knew very few Muslims. Alhamdulillah so I do have Muslim family whom I love so much. We are actually planning on making Hijra from America to Jordan in order for our girls to be surrounded by Muslims especially family.

This post made me tear… I am Palestinian born into Islam and we struggle to practice our deen and we are surrounded by family, environment, and friends etc etc who are Muslim! While people who weren’t born into Islam struggle and have so many reasons to quit yet they don’t and embrace this Deen and hold on to it sincerely.

Plus I would rather have my Husband take a second wife than have him cheat on me and commit Zina. Well anyway, I am Christian and with us it's different. God's design and ultimate will for marriage is very clear in the Holy Bible and Jesus was asked about this. Jesus said that from the beginning, the creator made them male and female and the two should become one flesh. One male and one female who become one flesh. This is the order of marriage according to God's prescription. Jesus also said what God brings together let no man separate.

How did you hear that with Mohammed talking fast over his eery word? I was here to learn and this interview let me down. I need to find someone less aggressive to listen to. It really bothers me when he talks over people and always fast like the clock is ticking and only what he has to say is worth people hearing. Thing is, by hearing the guys questions and point of view I am then able to discern the answers I seek. This was my 3rd interview I have listened to but this one made me feel yelled at and he lacked patience with them. This is not the attitude I observed from muslim people that made me drawn to learn. Heyy! Its normal for people to interrupt while speaking, especially online! Brother Muhammad saws was really patient and listening, especially while Alex was reading the bible verses, he listened and answered. The problem was, that Alex/Nick always skipped to the next question and didnt let Muhammad answer the first one, so he called them back to answer the first question. Actually Muhammad made a really good job by going step by step instead of leaving questions just un-answered and immediately going for the next question!

I would rather suggest you Dr Zakir Naik channel old videos where he explained and answered concerns of people belonging from different religions. You’ll really love watching those videos; he also made long videos about similarities between Islam and other religion.

So we understand that when we make dua we need Allah, we dont say dua as if "oh if it happens then no problem". Alhamdullilah that Samantha had the foresight to bring their questions to Brother Mohammad. As an American who embraced Islam over 40 years ago when there wasn't any internet, had Internet been around, my family would have probably obtained information from Islamaphobic sites as well.

He is somewhat sincere. He has done no research on Islam and he admits so. He is a nice man though. He never raised his voice or called Mohammad any names. He also admits there is no trinity in the Bible which is a huge step. The part that is mind boggling is he claims to know Jesus personally yet has almost no knowledge.

Narrated `Aisha: in sahih Bukhari 476 .
(the wife of the Prophet) said I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty. Not a day passed but the Prophet (ﷺ) visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abu Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur'an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a Softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Qur'an. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Qur'an).
Some people say the idea of the Trinity in Christianity is crystal clear, but when we look closely, their arguments start to dodge and they start cherry picking from ambiguous verses.
Firstly, there's a missing manuscript for 400 years. Imagine trying to tell a story without writing it down for four centuries!
Secondly, there's no single gospel from Jesus himself, as gospel of Jesus; it's like trying to understand someone without hearing their words.
Thirdly, the guys who supposedly wrote the Gospels, like John, Matthew, Paul, and Peter, are kind of mysterious. We don't really know who they were. Even those named gospels weren't written by themselves.
These authors claim to follow Jesus, but if you look at what they wrote, it doesn't match up with Jesus' teachings. It's a bit like saying you follow someone while doing the opposite of what they say. Also, there are so many versions of the Bible, and they don't agree with each other.
Surprisingly, the idea of the Trinity isn't even clearly mentioned in the whole Bible, no matter which version you're looking at. Even if you take all the different stories about Jesus, they don't add up logically.
And guess what? We don't even have the original writings in the language they were first written. It's like playing a game of telephone where the message changes as it's passed along.
About religion, Christianity itself more of a cult than a religion because the word "Christian" comes from "Christ."
Despite all these things, those who defend Christianity struggle to give good reasons. Simple logic and basic common sense reveal the inconsistencies within this belief system.
Also, Christians are kind of two-faced. They ignore clear things Jesus said and reject His words completely, instead they focus on confusing parts to keep their faith. When questioned, they get triggered, instead of explaining themselves, they tend to attack the people asking questions, and others faith. That seems hypocritical and delusional, doesn't it?

Being a revert myself, I can definitely relate to that yearning of wanting your family see the truth like you have sister Samantha. Reading through the comments, some are mocking the family for saying "well Jesus said that...", but are missing the fact that her family actually spoke with brother Mohammed even though their hearts may still be blind. Yes they are stubborn in their Christian views, but my family, specifically my parents, disowned me when I put the hijab on and even looking at arabic (not even islamic verses) brings disgust to them let alone trying to have a conversation about Islam and clearing up some concepts. All of this to say that maybe it is not exactly the grand gesture and we didn't have the "aha" moment, but inshallah this conversation will linger at the back of their mind and spark the interest in seeking knowledge rather than letting others feed them hateful messages about Islam. May Allah make it easy on you sister Samantha and continue to make duas for your family to see the truth. And brother Mohammed, may Allah continue to bless you and give barka in all of your endeavors.

I'm not going to lie, western media has done a very good job over the decades of putting Islam in a bad light. I believe if people, especially christians would sincerely do their research on Islam, instead of going by things that they heard from others, which are often not true, they would definitely leave Christianity.
