Jamey Johnson is my favorite current country artist, the man is a legend before his time. His back story coming into the country music scene is really amazing. The struggle was real for him in life and you can feel how genuine his music and stories are. Great video guys glad to see you visit this one.
This is one of my FAVORITE country songs. I love the grit to his voice as he explains his story. The guitar is amazingly soulful giving hints of both passion and longing for those gone times. I'm glad you guys did this one. I thought I clicked fast when I saw metallica but this one I nearly cracked the sound barrier. I'm glad you guys broke it down like that n had the thoughts that you did. Keep it up.
I can’t tell you how happy this made me, I LOVE that song. And not only that... I love how open and honest you guys are. It’s so refreshing to see more people breaking down barriers like, hey this ain’t too bad if you give it a chance. I myself unapologetically enjoy everything from Metallica to Jamey Johnson to Josh Groban to Tupac to classical and even Gospel. Keep it up guys

Jamey Johnson - The high cost of living One of the best songs ever written if you've ever known anyone with addiction. Shit will make you cry. The music video is great too
So many people in are society right now need to do exactly what you guys said at the beginning of this video. Just sit back gather information then come up with a opinion. Keep up the good work guys I love your open minded approach

Jamey Johnson - High Cost of Living In Color is oneof my favorite country songs and I’ve been listening to country all my life, so glad that you guys did this! Jamey Johnson is one of the living legends of country that not one knows about.
"Oh and this one here was taken over seas In the middle of hell in 1943 In the winter time, you can almost see my breath" They kinda missed the point he's talking about being in World War 2.
I agree brother. It makes me think how war drew all together and others lives were placed above your own and people of all walks of life from all over our great nation united to JUST MAKE IT THROUGH ALIVE. Love it
@@griffinwiegert527 its okay, it was awesome that they appreciated the song. Everyone has a different history and to some it may mean different things. Especially based on age, for older people and for the newer generation. We were all Americans.
“The mainstream isn’t an accurate representations of the whole genre” Truth. That whole section about being a student of the genre is spot on. Thanks guys.
This song makes the tears fall everytime. I lost my grandparents on my dads side at an early age and have no memories of them. But I got pictures of them holding me and stuff. If yall like Jamey Johnson catch him live he puts on one hell of a show.
I love this reaction!! I appreciate your free thinking and leading us all to open fields of beautiful music..... It's cool watching the genre walls crumble just a bit.
I always think about my Papo every time I hear this song. He was my favorite person. He fought in WWII and lived an amazing life. He died at 96 and I miss him so much.
I love Jamey's voice, and this song. Y'all should listen to George Jones either 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' or 'The Grand Tour' Country legend for sure.
Nice one guys. Never heard this before. You two talking about getting caught up in that moment made me think of my dad and I actually smiled instead of cried. He was an excellent storyteller with one hell of a life. His face always lit up when he talked about his glory days 😍
Yup thanks for sharing guys. This is an emotional song for me. It's about really connecting with his grandpa. And the lucky amongst us can relate to that so well. But the way he paints his moment with his grandpa in a song, is freaking amazing.

Jamey Johnson is the truth when it comes to true country singers today along with Chris Stapleton. You guys should do Eric Church another great country guy.
Justa Guy Have you heard “kicked out of country” by George Strait? Written by JJ and Strait together after a conversation they had about not getting radio play.
THANK YOU! I stumbled upon Lost in Vegas 2 hours ago and now I can't get off. I even subscribed - a first for me. I love your reactions but even more than that, I really appreciate your open minds and hearts. The world would be a better place if we all approached life - and each other - with your same sense of curiosity, willingness to listen, learn and appreciate.
Awesome song! If you liked the story telling in this one you should try Jamey Johnson--- The High Cost of Living. One of my favorite songs to date as far as story telling. Reminds me of when I was younger and dumber ..lol!
REAL country like this is so heart warming and touches the soul. ...they dont listen to country cause these new artists have ruined it like luke bryan and taylor swift....bring back marty stuart, Kenny Chesney, George Strait and all those grear country artists from the 90s and u will enjoy country music
Lost in Vegas! I had shoved country to the back of my mind until Chris Stapleton showed up, now this! Fire analysis from George and Ryan! I’ll keep asking: Judas Priest Beyond The Realms of Death. Keep it up!
I'm not the biggest country fan, but I like a lot of it. When I saw this video I immediately thought of talking to my pap n always wondering what it looked like in color.haha. fell in love with the song. I was raised by my grandparents, so it really tugs at my heart strings. I've teared up listening to this after he passed away. Good channel, just subd
great explanation of genres and the misconceptions. ~Free Thinkers~ thank you thank you for this reaction. glad you enjoyed. great voice-amazing song,; you can’t not feel this.....you just can’t. Ryan and George- you both are doing something truly great with this channel,; and it’s beautiful to watch.
I worked as a CNA in a nursing home for awhile and would go into the rooms of some of the residents when I had some free time and just listen to them talk about their lives. I was one of the very few that would do that and they loved it.
You guys never cease to impress me...solid, honest and just plain real! That's why I subbed way back! I'm a musician and I love, listen and play all genres. I make it a point to listen to many other reaction vids when I can find the time...but you guys are and will remain at the top of that list. You guys have set the standard imo! Tim McGraw - Don't take the girl Garth Brooks - Unanswered prayers George Straight - Troubadour Brooks + Dunn - Neon moon Blackhawk - Not strong enough to say no Diamond Rio - Walkin awayy Toby Keith - Wish I didn't know now I could do this all day but thats a good start
Da Realist I think they would love it. It's so real. I was lucky enough to see Chris Ledoux live when I was a teen, and I still get chills every time I hear that song. The man knew what he was singing about, for sure.
Misty Michele ABSOLUTELY, and my first and only time seeing him was when I was 20. Helluva showman.. dude rode a mechanical bull for shits sake. But my all time favorite LeDoux song is The Ride. 100% one of the best song of his
Holy crap! Y'all responded to Jamie Johnson. I am from Southern middle Tennessee. Nuff said. 😀 Yes country is good music, this is coming from a hard rock fan. Great job y'all
Jamey Johnson has a ton of good songs. Good Times Ain’t What They Used to Be is one of my favorites by him. Edit: Somewhere Between Jennings and Jones is tied for my all time favorite by him.
That's one thing I really enjoy about Jamey Johnson. A lot of his songs are very cleverly written but if you aren't paying attention they can be just a fun tune to drive to and not even think about.
This song is especially relevant in today's Instagram driven world (the song is from 2008). People are so worried about capturing photos of their experiences that they forget to just live in that moment. The old man in the song is explaining the parts of the story that the photo can't capture. A picture's worth a thousand words, but an experience is worth a thousand pictures, so don't forget to live in the moment!
As a young man while visiting my grandparents we would always sit around the kitchen table and my grandma would bring out a photo album along with an old hat box full of old photos, we would all go through them and ask questions and reminisce about family and how we got to where we were. I miss those old stories, I miss my grandparents.... Because of my memories of those times sitting around the kitchen table this song is one of my favorite songs. Thank y’all for making this video.
@Brandon Vaughan don't wait. Record them. Do not need to make it public but your grandkids will appreciate seeing what they had to say. I've found most family elders are happy and eager to hold a microphone.
Thanks for being open to music as you do. I wish others had your point of view and perspective. I grew with my mothers Motown and dad bluegrass my sisters 70s rock and southern rock. I grew up in the 80s when MTv was music television and the hip hop invasion when LLcoolJ never took his hat off..lol. I get this channel. Great job! Great song too as I relate it with my own family.
Love it! He is a super good dude in real life too !! A friend of mine worked at a water pump company with him in Nashville, before he made it big. He still hangs out with regular folks. Thanks for playing.
Fellas my papaw was in Europe in ww2. He never used the n word and we are from the south(in a racist time). He said it was a "colored" infantry that saved them while they were bird dogging Hitler and got ambushed. The song reminds me a lot of my papaw
I cannot agree with this comment more. I was thinking George Jones or Merle Haggard for them. Since they occasionally say "I don't know if this is considered real country."
Only review Chanel I’ll ever watch. Most unbiased people on TH-cam. Respect every genre and that makes you guys super respectable. Keep up the great work
Man, great video guys. I grew up in a poor part of town and some would say projects or ghetto. But I did listen to country and one song that really got to me. Conway Twitty thats my job. Just an old song about a sons growing pains with his dad.
You guys have opened my ears to so much more than my favorite...country. I'm a Southern girl so that goes with the territory. But I'd like to hear your reactions to Cody Jinks- Cast No Stones Chris Janson- Drunk Girl
Love Jamie johnson. I love how he hides hid pain with cocaine and whores... 😲😟😎 just a small glimpse of how a man lost deals with life and do sent hide the good or bad. It something too many of us can relate to and to certain extent. The pain and atruggle is something u have to see in color. I've loves this song since the first time i heard it and hope I can ahare more good parts then bad with my kids and grandkids when they get old enough to start to understand
I just wanted to say as a 40 something year old woman....i listen to a little bit of everything. I dont feel u should limit yourselves to just one genre of music. If it makes you feel something its fantastic. Thank you guys for doing this show and helping people to expand their minds. Thanks guys.
React to "Keep It Between The Lines" or "Sea Stories" by Sturgill Simpson, if you haven't already. Honestly, the entire Sailor's Guide to Earth album is great. Any song is worth listening and reacting to.

The Bird Hunters
hell yes
This song is gorgeous. Aaand, I'm crying. Thanks again guys! Another great video ❤️
I remember singing this one for my grandmother once, and in the middle of the song she said, “That’s the story of my life” as tears welled up in her eyes. I will never forget that moment as long as I live.
I saw Jamey a year ago at stagecoach...and halfway through this song, the crowd took over and sang it.... it was a very powerful moment.
Look up Cody jinks please he's is an amazing singer songwriter. Look up birds or last call for the blues
Wiskey bent and hellbound. Loud and heavy. Jinks has in my opinion made his own genre of country y'all definitely should review any of his songs
Brian Dyer yes there a so many good songs from him like the same or she’s all mine.
THIS!!!
Dirt
Maria Almaraz How about some of the King, George Strait!
Keith Urban on the harmony vocals is outstanding. Truly makes the chorus.
Jamey Johnson is the truth when it comes to true country singers today along with Chris Stapleton. You guys should do Eric Church another great country guy.
TheBear 1322 modern day highway men: Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Jinks
TheWayOf Cailinn yes!!
Eric Church- Loves Me Like Jesus Does

TheBear 1322, Record Year! I think everyone alive has had one of those.
Y'all just reacted to MY FAVE artist!!! I've seen him in color every time he is playing here!! I could listen to him sing anything!!!
Justa Guy hell yea
amen to that brother!! i have a few concert vids on my page from years ago!
He is so underrated, born a little too late for the crap on the radio today, but at least we still have him! One talented Marine!
Justa Guy Have you heard “kicked out of country” by George Strait? Written by JJ and Strait together after a conversation they had about not getting radio play.
OGSpaceCadet JJ was a Marine?
Awesome Reaction guys!! Y’all should listen to Alan Jackson’s “Remember When” it is also a beautiful song. #freethinkers
REAL country like this is so heart warming and touches the soul. ...they dont listen to country cause these new artists have ruined it like luke bryan and taylor swift....bring back marty stuart, Kenny Chesney, George Strait and all those grear country artists from the 90s and u will enjoy country music
how dare you mention kenny and not alan jackson. how dare you.
Nothing changed, music just evolves over time.
Funny story my aunt is Marty Stuart first wife
Lost in Vegas! I had shoved country to the back of my mind until Chris Stapleton showed up, now this! Fire analysis from George and Ryan! I’ll keep asking: Judas Priest Beyond The Realms of Death. Keep it up!
This songs makes me cry. I couldn't even sit through your reaction without a tear.
HopeToTheWEAK , very sorry to hear about your grandma. I miss all those old stories
I was almost home - craig morgan PLEASE!!!! love you guys btw
Alan Jackson - where were you when the world stopped turning
Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss - Whiskey Lullaby
Either of these would be super dope.

glad you enjoyed. great voice-amazing song,; you can’t not feel this.....you just can’t.
Ryan and George- you both are doing something truly great with this channel,; and it’s beautiful to watch.
I miss the older country🙁 love what you said about the country genre❤
I worked as a CNA in a nursing home for awhile and would go into the rooms of some of the residents when I had some free time and just listen to them talk about their lives. I was one of the very few that would do that and they loved it.
Melinda Roop I work in a nursing home as a physical therapist, and the life stories are one of my favorite things about my job.
My great grandma had alzheimer's I learned more about her life through the tough time than I ever did growing up with her.
Keep it up please, much love and respect from Houston TX.
Tim McGraw - Don't take the girl
Garth Brooks - Unanswered prayers
George Straight - Troubadour
Brooks + Dunn - Neon moon
Blackhawk - Not strong enough to say no
Diamond Rio - Walkin awayy
Toby Keith - Wish I didn't know now
I could do this all day but thats a good start
Chris Ledoux should be reviewed
Zeke Fartin YES! They should do This Cowboy's Hat!
I request This Cowboys Hat..every damn video. I need more likes. That song screams free thinkers
100% one of the best song of his
Agreed different people having an understanding because we’re not different
Brooks and Dunn - Believe
You'll thank us!
Holy crap! Y'all responded to Jamie Johnson. I am from Southern middle Tennessee. Nuff said. 😀 Yes country is good music, this is coming from a hard rock fan. Great job y'all
Wanted to rec - Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss. ❤❤❤
Jamey Johnson has a ton of good songs. Good Times Ain’t What They Used to Be is one of my favorites by him. Edit: Somewhere Between Jennings and Jones is tied for my all time favorite by him.
Good Times Ain’t What They Used to Be is a great song
I love talking to my grandma's stories about who's related to who, and looking at old photos
Mamas don’t let your babies grow up to be cowboys -Waylon Jennings
Ray Brown fantastic song. I was brainwashed by my parents with Waylon and Willie in the 70’s. They wore the grooves out on those albums.
No such thing as bigots are athiests in a fox hole lol.
This song reminds me of my papaw too
loving this channel, you dudes seem real genuine.
React to He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones
I cannot agree with this comment more. I was thinking George Jones or Merle Haggard for them. Since they occasionally say "I don't know if this is considered real country."
Only review Chanel I’ll ever watch. Most unbiased people on TH-cam. Respect every genre and that makes you guys super respectable. Keep up the great work
Y’all should react to “Country Boy Can Survive” by Hank Williams Jr
100%!!! I love that song so much!
But I'd like to hear your reactions to
Cody Jinks- Cast No Stones
Chris Janson- Drunk Girl
Y’all are my favorites. Seriously. I could watch y’all all day.
Great reaction to a great song. This song never gets old to me. Timeless.
Do Jamie Johnson the high cost of living high .
It's a true story of his life.
Jeremy Jackson or that lonesome song
Love Jamie johnson. I love how he hides hid pain with cocaine and whores... 😲😟😎 just a small glimpse of how a man lost deals with life and do sent hide the good or bad. It something too many of us can relate to and to certain extent. The pain and atruggle is something u have to see in color. I've loves this song since the first time i heard it and hope I can ahare more good parts then bad with my kids and grandkids when they get old enough to start to understand
Amazing song
yep...great song and it is true story of his life
Jeremy Jackson yea that’s one of my favs from Jamie
YES!!!!!!!!!!! finally!!! Thank you guys!!!
