    Electronic parking brake is the most dumbest technology I ever heard of go back to a fully mechanical one

      I agree with you on many levels but….
      Having that electronic brake disengage automatically when you put the car in drive is golden 😉

      There alot of room for error, at least with the old school design u can feel it tighten, with this you have to hope it's engaged

    Apparently if you pull and hold it, it won't slam on the brakes. But if you pull and release it will.

      if you pull and release "while moving" it wont do anything.

  • @nricz
    @nricz หลายเดือนก่อน

    It is programmed to act that way. 'Cos activating e-brake while moving could mean an emergency. The e-brakes would clamp down a bit slower than it used to (when it is stationary) to prevent the vehicle from rolling over.

    I have 23 Kia sportage I'm used to having a hand or foot ebrake. What if ebrake is needed at higher speed what should I do? ?? Just pull epb ??

    How to engage or disengage electronic Parking brake if your car bettery is fully down ?

    • @navy7804
      @navy7804 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idk but my car has a pull release under the armrest for that situation

    • @randomscene3219
      @randomscene3219 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can disengage it manually by removing the parking brake caliper and supply it with 12v battery as it will retract the piston. but you can only do this if you remove the wheels.

      Buy a car battery charger, keep it with you at all times. Every automatic car should be carrying one anyway

      Still prefer traditional handbrake. Less prone to failure

    Will this work on every car with electronic park brake?

  • @G_Rizzly

    Maybe you can read the car manual before you make another video.

  • @brendanyates

    keep in mind, it doesn’t lock up the rear wheels !

  • @TheCasualSirenEnthusiast

    If you can't use an e brake without locking the wheels, that's a skill issue.
    Also what if it malfunctions?

      You confused your handbrake with your child? That's a new one.

    sir di ba ginagamit lang yan during emergency pag no choice na talaga ang driver to avoid serious accident?

    • @randomscene3219
      @randomscene3219 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's why its called Electronic Parking Brake not Emergency Brake. you cant use it for emergency braking and besides with modern cars having ABS, EBD, TC and more, its more safer to slam on the brake pedals as it will stay controlled than pulling the emergency handle and just throw your rear sideways.
