    I bought the MSR pot and almost took it back to REI because the handle would not snap onto top of the pot. I did the same thing you did, wondered what the little 'useless' crimps on the edge of the lid were for. THEN, I watched your video, and was like, I have a Masters degree in science, and still did not see the obvious, the handle does snap down, OVER the crimps, and hold the lid on in storage. So you saved me a lot of trouble and now I really like the MSR pot, lol

      @@SeniorHiker77 Could I ask one question? What size gas canisters would you say you could fit in these? With the Sea to Summit being a touch taller, could it fit an 8oz gas canister do you think?

    • @SeniorHiker77
      @SeniorHiker77  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is one of the disappointing things about both these pots. The 8oz canisters will not fit in either. The canisters are just a tad bit to tall. You can fill the dead space up with many knick-knack items. Hope this helps. 👌

    Thanks for the video, I look forward to seeing a long term review of the MSR pot. I have been looking for a solution in carrying just one item instead of carrying a pot and a pan. Have you looked into a arc lighter or plasma lighter? I will be doing a review soon, but it could also be a good option, I always have problems with bic lighters when it is cold.
