Gentlemen, it was a pleasure growing up with you all, and with this song. We may have gotten old, but we tasted the true flavors of the internet unlike anyone else, and it was magical, that's why we are here. This era of the internet still lives in all of us so long as we draw breath, take pride in that.
2006, l kind of late, though still. We have to be thankful we are live in that years exactly. A tiny window when humanity was at it current very top. Now it descends slowly down. And before internet and such living clearly wasn't fun at all. That a just an around 20 years gaps. The best gap humanity currently have, and apparently may even have if things go south.
Being honest here, I would actually enjoy the song ten years ago, when almost every video copped it, whether it'd be a tutorial or gameplay footage of some Halo game. I'm just revisiting this song since it was recently caught in my head for reasons unknown.
It’s crazy how people born later than us don’t know anything about this song and how we had no choice but to listen to this when looking up club penguin hack tutorials
27 checking in, miss the days of watching cod mw2 tutorials with unregistered hypercam2 and notepad text with this song playing. Goddamn were those the days. How I miss the innocence and naivety.
Countless tutorials, 60% of them fixing some windows error, 20% cheat engine related, other 20% learning something new that I use to this day. It was an honor to be there with you all, and I wish you all nothing but the best ahead. Don’t let this track ever die.
Man I'm 35 and it seems yesterday I was finding this song everywhere on TH-cam. Kids nowadays cannot grasp how majestic the internet used to be back then.
Ive been on youtube since about 2007 and I don't think youtube had a quality option initially. There was a parameter you could paste into the URL which forced youtube to show the "View in HD" option and forced HD. but then later it was integrated into the video player as simply an "HD" button (i think that referred to 720p videos) but then in 2011 youtube changed the player to the black/red one and I think between that and 2013 is when they introduced the ability to specify quality in terms of 240, 360, 480, 720, 1080. some time after that they introduced 144p as well. please correct me if you have any additional info
@@BoomBrush I don't really remember but yeah when youtube very first came out it didn't have any quality option. But if I try to remember the very first time I ever notice them, there were just these three options.

I think the new comment system fucked over a lot of old ones - on the first video ever uploaded to youtube for example the 'interesting...' comment is no longer there, or at least you have to trawl through countless pages
August 19, 2024 To the Future, As I sit down to write this comment, I'm filled with a sense of nostalgia for the years that have passed and a deep appreciation for the era I was fortunate enough to grow up in. The early 21st century was a time of rapid change, boundless creativity, and an explosion of musical brilliance that has left an indelible mark on those of us who lived through it. Music was the heartbeat of our generation. We had the privilege of growing up in a time when artists didn't just create songs; they crafted anthems that defined our identities, soundtracks that punctuated our experiences, and melodies that are now woven into the very fabric of our memories. From the rebellious riffs of rock to the soul-stirring beats of hip-hop, the music of our time was a reflection of our collective hopes, fears, and dreams. It was through these tunes that we found solace, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Now, as we stand on the cusp of the future, I look back with immense gratitude. The artists who poured their hearts into their work, the bands that became the voice of a generation, and the innovators who pushed the boundaries of sound they all played a role in shaping who we are today. The vinyl records, CDs, and streaming playlists of yesteryear were more than just collections of songs; they were time capsules that preserved the essence of our youth, ready to be rediscovered by future generations. In 2024, life has evolved in ways we could never have imagined. Technology continues to march forward at a relentless pace, connecting us in ways that once seemed like science fiction. Virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and advancements in medicine have all become integral parts of our daily lives. The world feels both smaller and larger than ever before… Smaller because of the ease with which we can communicate and share ideas across continents, and larger because of the endless possibilities that lie before us. Yet, despite all the progress, there's something timeless about the music we cherished. It serves as a reminder that, no matter how much the world changes, certain things remain constant. The power of a well-struck chord, the emotion behind a heartfelt lyric, and the joy of discovering a new favorite song-these are experiences that transcend time. To those in the future who may stumble upon this comment, I hope it finds you well. May you continue to find joy in the music of your own era, while also taking the time to explore and appreciate the sounds of the past. Remember that every note, every beat, and every melody has the potential to bridge generations, connecting us in ways that words alone cannot. With heartfelt gratitude for the past and hope for the future, A Nostalgic Soul from 2024

This song takes me back to 2006 when i used to watch smosh videos and reminds me of 2008 and 2009 of gta san andreas mods but now its different than today :(
@@JinxGoober_03 I know, I still remember the things I was doing when I was 12 or 13, It's unbelievable indeed. And I still keep in touch with a very few old friends of mine, We know each other for 15 years now... And we always reminisce the old memories we had.
Back when TH-cam actually cared about its users, back when the content was funny because we were all young and internet humour was still being pioneered, back when there weren't any of the double ad bs, back when TH-cam was something everyone enjoyed, for everyone. God I miss those days.
TH-cam was fantastic in 2011-2015 for me. I was only 10 years in 2015 , i liked it then. I was unlucky to not experience 2006-2010 TH-cam. Since I am 18 now , I have watched many old TH-cam videos , makes me happy . TH-cam now is boring , I only use it for football ,studies and clash of clans
The reason this song was so popular on TH-cam videos in the early days was, at one point some issues started arising with copyright music, and TH-cam added a feature that if the music was copyrighted, it would just mute the music in the video, but give you the option to replace it with some, you could say "stock music". There wasn't a very long list to choose from, however this song was the first on the list (as it was alphabetical). Many low budget tutorial/compilation type videos used this, as I imagine the uploaders didn't really care much and just selected the first one.
I highly agree, infact even more frequently, especially the people who grew up with this masterpiece of a song. Knowing and being aware of this old, golden, og music awakens the one's desire to go back to it and play over and over and hopefully carry it on so younger and even future generations can be told about this golden era of youtube

To the Future,
As I sit down to write this comment, I'm filled with a sense of nostalgia for the years that have passed and a deep appreciation for the era I was fortunate enough to grow up in.
With heartfelt gratitude for the past and hope for the future,

do you remember by any chance songs from an old battlefront 2 2005 deleted video the first song was ferry corsten- junk, the second was an electronic bip bip bip then a sentence said by a robot all the time after bip bip bip then an electronic wave sort of sound, the third song had lyrics it's a drug it's a vibe he repeated these all the time with electronic waves songs

This just gave me chills. Old youtube 2009-2010 was on another level
It was the best TH-cam.
Me too really bad lolz i love it
Back when TH-cam actually cared about its users, back when the content was funny because we were all young and internet humour was still being pioneered, back when there weren't any of the double ad bs, back when TH-cam was something everyone enjoyed, for everyone.
This song made TH-cam from 2005-2009

You're confusing this with Clubbed To Death. This was the tech support song while Clubbed was the conspiracy theory song.
2009: Oh not this song again.
2024: Timeless classic, bring the old TH-cam back
The reason this song was so popular on TH-cam videos in the early days was, at one point some issues started arising with copyright music, and TH-cam added a feature that if the music was copyrighted, it would just mute the music in the video, but give you the option to replace it with some, you could say "stock music". There wasn't a very long list to choose from, however this song was the first on the list (as it was alphabetical). Many low budget tutorial/compilation type videos used this, as I imagine the uploaders didn't really care much and just selected the first one.
Yes, it was a library of songs called AudioSwap
@@superharryboy it was a very nice music tough
@@jonnyprogamer I think so
It's so interesting to think about how TH-cam worked 10+ years ago.
They probably picked the first one because it was the first one, they thought it sounded pretty damned good and used it.

Everyone in the internet should come to this video every 10 years.
I highly agree, infact even more frequently, especially the people who grew up with this masterpiece of a song. Knowing and being aware of this old, golden, og music awakens the one's desire to go back to it and play over and over and hopefully carry it on so younger and even future generations can be told about this golden era of youtube
