  • Edwards Moving & Rigging won Hauling Job of the Year at the 2018 SC&RA Annual Conference with the multi-state movement of (3) 375,000 lb. turbines to a new combined cycle power plant in the Northeast US. Congratulations to the Edwards personnel and everyone that played a part in this winning move!

    This video should be the Gold Standard for: both Narration & Videography - as each individually, and collectively, professionally presented an extremely interesting and informative action, that was both difficult (to the extreme) and massive, in such a way as to be used as an example for others doing this.

    Excellent video, but for a piece weighing in at under 200 ton, why the overkill with the dual lane Aspen at '345? A beam trailer with 2 12 line goldhofers would of sufficed yes?

      It was necessary to pass engineering load analysis on all of the structures along the way. Yes a lot of them would have passed with a smaller trailer, but it wouldn't make sense logistically to swap trailers just for a few weaker structures. Trust me when I say, all options were considered.

      @Pika_ediz ok unnightmare! I'm sure at that length and with all the dollies, your axle ratings were below or close to what NYSDOT wanted.We're looking at moving 2, 500 ton transformers here on long island. The logistics are a nighmare!

      They had to be making good money. Because it took us a week to get it to Scranton and our company got paid 80k just to lift lines up
