Many years ago, I was working in an office that was right beside the railroad tracks. One day a huge transformer went by on a freight train. It was on one of those cars with 5 axles at each end and when it passed I could see and feel the ground sink under the weight.
I bet they can just lower the hydraulics and set it on the ground take the trailers apart and get out. I'm guessing that's what they're gonna do since there was no crane. Idk if there's a crane that can lift something that heavy. Looking back idk how they were gonna get the front part of the trailer out but wouldve been cool seeing them unload and get out.
Well, once the trailer is in position close enough to the station, a crew lowers the transformer onto rails. These rails have devices that allow the transformer to be pushed by hydraulics into place, then lowered onto the pad.
