Jeff writes all the lyrics compose the music, and he produces them too, an absolute genius a word so overused these days.. but is not overused in his case.. It's the word Sir Paul Mccartney used to describe him.. dip in to any E.L.O (The Electric Light Orchestra) song, and you will not be disappointed .. thank you
It's easy for one generation to dismiss the music of another, but for those of us lucky to have grown up listening to the still fairly new songs from the 60s, the newly released music in the 70s from artists who were either from the legacy of the 60s or inspired and influenced by the 60s music, and had supergroups that were genuinely super, you might understand why we feel justified in dismissing much of the popular music from this century and the final years of the last century. Personally I feel sorry for people born from about 1985 onwards, they will never get the opportunity to attend this kind of a concert, listening to the amazing talents of artists 40 years after they first heard the songs of their era.
I've been watching many reaction videos of Telephone Line and it demonstrates that no matter who you are, we all react the same. I love that about it more than I even love the song.

Jeff Lynne is a musical genius and sounds just as good live (if not better) than he does on the studio versions. You should listen to 'All Over The World' which is such a happy song that makes you want to dance.
Don't feel self-conscious about getting emotional while listening to this song. Anyone who has ever being involved in a relationship, that has ended before you felt it had run its natural term, will feel emotional: especially so if, like in my case, that relationship had been very much a long distance one, where most of the interractions between us were online or over the phone. Even though I accept now that my particular relationship is over forever, I still can't help but wonder how 'she' is getting on now, and if she remembers me with the same affection that I remember her. Listening to this song since then has always, (and always will, I think,) bring a tear to my eye. (I might get over you one day AH, but I'll never forget you 💔)
