Not sure what it is, I've been going though a lot of your videos but I just can't get Midi-QOL to work. It never auto rolls. No matter the settings. I've checked my version and everything else. It always makes a chat prompt I have to click to roll. Is there any setting or anything outside of Midi-QOL you think it could be? I want my VTT to be pretty much identical to yours, just with Argon HUD(I have it disabled while troubleshooting Midi-QOL.
Hi there. Sorry you're having so many little problems getting this going. This video was done in V11 of Foundry, so is a little out-of-date for the Automation stuff. If you're in V12 of Foundry, this is a much better video for you: th-cam.com/video/qm748ya9MHs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Qq6yMRCx8NoaiNhK Be sure that on the Midi settings, that front page of it, you have the "Enable Roll Automation Support" box ticked - it really could be that simple to solve the issue you're having. It's a minefield! But please keep asking questions - we're here to help, and it's definitely worth the struggle 😅
I have Dfred’s Effects panel and I’m not seeing a convenient effects module are they one in the same? Or why am I not seeing these effects or that modules.
Hi. Are you on V11 still? It's not available in V12 yet. The add on module is called "DFreds Convenient Effects" - that's the one. You should have a Compendium added to your world when you activate the module, as well as the left-side menu item. Opening either should give you a list of all the Effects that can be applied by clicking it with a token selected. Bit of an older video, but this may solve your problem: th-cam.com/video/hjNl2YrpDV4/w-d-xo.html
Where are you getting the Parry item/feature from? How is it automated? Can you open the Parry item, go to details tab and set the roll that it is making to heal? Set the reaction to happen when damaged. I am not sure if this will work, just throwing out thoughts.
The Parry item is a Feature item Manoeuvre: Parry. I thought about changing it to Heal, but what if the damage is 5 and we Parry 6? We actually heal... How likely is that to be an issue? Not sure. Maybe that's a good work-around - certainly better than nothing.
Actually.... been playing with this. If we use Temp Healing, it does indeed work just fine - as long as we don't Parry more than the initial damage. What's the changes of that? Small, I would think. Let's see if there are any other ideas, but if not, this one is workable. Thanks for your suggestion.
@@garrymiller9277 Oh, I'm sorry. I use DDB Importer to pull my player characters in from DnDBeyond, so if the character has that class feature, it pulls it over too. So my Baudric character has "Second Wind", "Action Surge", "Maneuvers: Parry" etc, already on his sheet. When I do the follow-up video to show solution(s), I'll ensure to track through and show the character feature that drives it.
Unfortunately you're not alone. I have "a" solution - it's not perfect by any means, but it'll do in a pinch. I'll try and do a video shortly to show you (and others) that.
Hello, I have an issue with Midi-QoL that I don'tt seem to figure out. Whenver I click on Workflow settings nothing shows up. The console F12 shows me there's an issue. Could you help me please
If I can. First thing, check you've updated the D&D game system Should be on 3.1.2. Next check what Midi-QoL update you're on - I'm running 11.4.28. I suspect you've got a compatibility issue.
It's seems to be an issue with the most recent version of Midi-qol Also another thing to note this all is stemming from me trying to fix an issue with Faery fire spell where It used to apply the convient effect Faerie fire automaticly if the creature fails it save. But it no longer does that for some unknown reason (This happened after I updated to dnd5e 3.1.2)
The good thing is that if it's a Midi-QoL problem, Tim will have it fixed really quickly. I'm using Faerie Fire from Chris's Premades, and am not seeing an problem - maybe that can solve the issue for you? And hope Midi-QoL gets fixed real soon. My Midi is working fine still, thankfully.

I have just tried doing the above but the damage/healing cards come out in the wrong order to apply properly.

@@clay_golem A feature item from where? Who is providing it? It isn't SRD or MidiQol created.
Is it from DDB? Or CPR? Or have you created it yourself?
