Hazlia's northern campaign was because a splinter faction of the Spires, the last true Dragon (Can't say his name on youtube or bad things will happen), and 2 Dwarfs (not Dweghom but Dwarfs) were creating what would be in Norse Mythology Erdrasil for ill intent. So it wasn't like Hazlia was power hungry for conquest. He was trying to save humanity from Hel.
Some notes! 1. When speaking of the Pantheon of Hazlia, most ofbthe gods he made or manifested were made of his own self, pulling a piece of him away. There were only two 'separate' gods, as they were not part of him ever. Cleon and Nunia (sp) that were part of his Triumvate above the Pantheon. The many shards of himself being pulled in so many directions is definitely what causes the madness. It was not helped by the Northern Campaign. 2. Hazlia and humanity's expansion is definitely driven by Hazlia's prigins as a Shard of Conquest. The nature of his being was that he had to ever expand and look for something greater. Hence the resentment and madness at being slowly dragged down. 3. The Last Legion were the last protectors of those that fled, they did not become the Hundred Kingdoms, but the Orders. The two Gods that helped them were their patron gods before, and Nunia sacrificed herself to slow Hazlia's fall. Ifbshe had not, he would have obliterated the world. Cleon survived much longer, bringing Nunias body West and fount at the last Wall against Hazlia's Will. (The rest of that, the Last Stand of the Last Legion is covered in the Chronicles and Legends Campaign book). 4. Fun Fact, the current Fallen Divinity model is Selene! 5. The undead of Capitas were the only ones that awoke immediately upon Hazlia's 'ascension'. Outside of Capitas, there are many more resevoires of preserved warriors. Each just needs Hazlia's Power to awaken them and give them the directive of "Slay the Living". 6. OD is almoat completed as a faction! They have probably only 4-5 kits left to release. 7. Fun Fact, there are at least 3 Big Bad factions. The Old Dominion, Hel, and The Fishmen of Famine!. 8. The Livingworld has already had several looks at Old Dominion, and you should definitely look at the Archives of the Living World. There are several character's stories listed and completed there. I can't wait to see more from you guys. Come up to Adepticon the next chance you get!
Sorcerer Kings are, indeed, going to be a big faction against the Old Dominion. They were actually one of the group of people responsible for the downfall of Hazlia. How much they were involved with that ranges anywhere from fully responsible to greatly responsible. They bound themselves to Incarnate Soul of Balance, which if I had to guess, was one of the old gods given new life (aka Unleaded Gas) from Hazlia.
I think the kill all the living is a bit weird, because there are still living humans in the Old dominion. Wouldn't they kill their own living before coming for others?
