I love that question "where does this come from?" A question I would put out to people us "what makes someone do the things that were done to Indigenous people. In residential and industrial schools?" There is alot more to it than people realize. Love the book by Native American author Dr Ardie Six Killer Clarke - Space Age Indians. It opens up another door that most people are not willing to look at but as our consciousness expands, more are becoming open to this conversation of star people which are very much a part of Indigenous teachings. There is so much mkre depth to the trauma than people realize.

so glad I found this video!! I am indigenous and am a Addictions Instructor and this fits to what I have experienced and falls in line with the way I do my curriculum development, workshops and healings. Trying to integrate western and indigenous knowledge systems is the new path for wellness. we see the western way does not work because it limits or has not acknowledgement of spirit. I am so grateful my brother gifted me with the book, Healing the soul wound as he knew it was what I was trying to say and western professionals were not understanding what I was saying and teaching

Thank you Dr Duran for your wisdom and motivation to stay off grid without getting frustrated due to the resistance of colonized philosophy, psychology and psychotherapy. As a white priviledged CIS woman, I am greatful for the wisdoms I was never taught or shown in the center of colonization; Europe (NL)

I am one of those Western Academics who have trained therapist for many years at universities but I have worked in many different cultures in the world as well. I have only recently encountered Eduardo Duran's teaching. He offers great wisdom and understanding of the importance healing the soul. What he says is valuable for all peoples of the world. His teaching is a gift to help the earth. Thank you.

Great to know, Tom. Hope this will help making the mental health training system less colonizing and more open to diversity of ideas and worldviews.

@15:00 This acknowledgement of the colonized language has had deep affect upon how I'm unpacking, unraveling, unlearning and reclaiming - gratitude.

In the Hindu philosophy too ...we are the creator's dream. I also read somewhere that we are elements of an artwork and we are exactly where we are mean't to be.
