@@theselector4733 Exactly, and his ability to sing melodies that just naturally go with all the fast chord changes is enough to blow plenty trained musicians right out the water! You can get there but you need to write a hell of a lot of songs.
@Anony-mousse True, but he portrays the 'don't give a shit" RnR attitude very well on occasions. I recall having an argument once with a bloke who knew Noel personally and said he had a lazy outlook on life; "Why do something today, you can put off till tomorrow". But my perspective was that you can't be as successful as he's been in the music industry if you don't do the hard yards and have a workmanlike attitude. 'Hope.' Noel's songwriting always gives you a feeling of hope. Stunning. I was 24 in 1994 when I stood at a bar in the south of England and first heard Live Forever. My jaw dropped and continued to do so as they ripped apart the shite from the 80s and gave us all hope that the music industry would change and man, did they change it. I saw Oasis in a pub in Huddersfield in early 1994 and took my then 8 yo Daughter to see Noel in Detroit back in 2018. (We moved to Canada) In 94, Noel bought me and a mate a pint. In 2018, he popped his head out of the double doors next to the stage and handed my daughter, who was then on my shoulders, his setlist. He's grown far from that council estate in Burnage, but not ONCE has he forgotten where he came from nor those he grew up with. A national treasure and deservedly so.
I've wanted this guitar since I first saw it in the Don't Look Back In Anger music video in 1995. Now, after more than 25 years, I finally have one, and it was well worth the wait! A seriously impressive guitar for the price, and even running clean straight into an amp, the sound is classic Oasis. Epiphone absolutely nailed this clone of Noel's iconic Riviera. Even if I couldn't play it, I would have bought it to hang on my wall. I love it!
This is perfect. An artist series is not really about interesting spec but emotional connection to your favorite music. This promotion does exactly that. Really make me want one just for memory sake.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that Gibson/Epiphone did this, and announced it the same day as the release of the Gibson ES-355. I knew that ES was going to be at least $6-7k, and I simply could not have afforded it. So, to see them also surprise us with a more affordable Noel Gallagher signature guitar, with arguably just as much significance in its place in Noel’s career, I jumped at the opportunity and bought one immediately. And I’m glad I did, because both models are SOLD OUT! Thanks, Gibson/Epiphone, and Noel for doing this.
I love Noel!!! ❤ For every reason of nostalgia, great songs, great sound, playability, legends who played Epis... first electric I bought was Epi Semi Hollow ES335. Affordable with a great range. Beatles to Oasis...My heros played Epis!

Between Don’t Look Back in Anger and Live Forever before it, these were two of the songs that made me an Oasis fan. Being 14-16 during these times was amazing. I didn’t identify with grunge. Even though being an American, I was more drawn to the care free and positive presentation of what was going on in England and the UK in those days. Whether the content of the songs had a darker moodier meaning didn’t really get to me until my 20’s! There really wasn’t an American counterpart to the Brit pop/indie movement in those days. Noel, Liam, and Oasis were definitely the gateway to all of that for me!

You can be the best guitar player on the planet, but not be able to write a song. What Noel does better than anyone of the last 30 years, is write songs that people love. I was at a wedding 4 weeks ago and the DJ had the usual mix of half decent tracks mixed in with cheese. Last song he played was Champagne Supernova. The whole room ended up singing along, arm in arm, at the top of their lungs. There are very few songwriters that have the ability to unite people with their music. I struggle to think of an artist who does it better than Oasis....in the UK anyway.
This is why I love Noel Gallagher and the music of Oasis... he's not sitting there tooting his own or licking himself... he's confident enough to say that he doesn't know why or how, but all he knows is that the songs somehow happened.
