Found one on my course a few weeks ago, never heard of them, so i chucked in in my practice bag, a couple of days later had a practice session and was seriously impressed by the feel, how quickly it stopped, and got some backspin on a couple of lob shots. Bought a box, got to say seriously impressed, distance, feel, definitely buy them again.
Great video Gary, you bring some great lesser known brands to our attention (Caiton), thank you. The Callaway Super soft balls are £24.99 on Amazon, the Lagato LTX 3085 are also currently Amazon at £29.99, I'd love to see a comparison between the two. Keep up the great content Gary 👌🏼
I switched to these balls earlier this year. If you do the Amazon subscription the price is even cheaper. I’ve found no negative or lacking compared to more expensive balls. And if one finds the golf ball graveyard it’s not as hard a pill to swallow. Great review!
Recently switched to Legato. I used to use Pro V1, but had a lot of slices on my tee shots, but with Legato, I had a strange experience of catching slices and increasing my distance. Also, my short game had better spin, which increased chances to hit the ball onto the green. Above all, the large alignment line helps me align when putting! In summary, it gives me the best experience on tee shots, short game, and putting. Best value for the money!
Gabe on the other side of the pond (let's play through)has been singing the praises for quite some time now, he really does rate them highly, keep them coming mate.
First time we've heard of them, and I must say, its very rare to find a ball that can beat a pro v1 in both the top and bottom of the bag, its usually one or the other.
@ 💯. I am legally blind in my left eye so white balls are sometimes hard to see in the clouds so I try and use the legato yellow. Makes it easier for me I see in the air.
Gaz, this isn’t a criticism because I love your content. That ball didn’t spin like made on the first green it hit an upslope on a wet green and came up short. Pro v was clearly the best performance on that shot, followed by the Ad 333
Sounds and looks like a decent ball Gaz. I like the softer feel/sound off the putter face (remembering I used to play the Maxfli HT Balata...when it was made in Normanton, cheap, read free, golf balls😉) As an aside, what a beautiful building Thrybergh Hall is 👍👍👍
Gary, I’ve just bought a box to try. Did you notice the numbers on them are 1,3,5 & 7, no 2 or 4s. Initial putting practice in dining room, I can’t tell difference between my usual ball Callaway chrome tour. Playing Tuesday, we’ll see how they go.
Great ball, Gary. I have been using them for a couple of months now after seeing Gabe's reviews. You can get them even cheaper when Amazon has a sale. I picked them up for $24.99 on cyber Monday. I assume they will be on sale Black Friday as well.
Take a look at Penfold Ace, yes they have been resurrected, reminded me of working in the pro shop as a junior, player would come in and buy one, unwrap it and play. The new Penfold ace is on introductory offer under £25 per dozen, 4 piece urethane ball, pro v equivalent. They also do a distance Penfold heart, at around £20 per dozen. Took 2 dozen to my club and had the lads in our thrash try them, all feedback was positive, might be because the balls were free😂😂 also the Callaway Hex soft are £35 2 dozen on Amazon, and a good everyday ball for the money. However the new Penfold Ace, is fantastic
Gary I really want to see your channel grow. I would like to see you do some more of the Temu golf club videos but play 9 or 18 holes with them. Especially some of their drivers and forged irons and not the copies of P&&)'s or P790's. And I would like to see some more of your travel videos.
Not sure you can judge the backspin on the first shot as the legato spun and then hit the downslope which took it off the green - you can't compare that to the Pro V that landed on the flat of the green and still spun.
Been using these for the past 3 months got them for £22 for a dozen and I can't tell the difference between this and the prov1 first seen on let's play through.
I think Taylor made soft response, 3piece ball, £19.99 in the uk are fantastic for the price Gary. What do think? I’d be intested how they stand up to a more expensive 3piece ball
@ yeah 100% 3 piece I have used them for a while I was shocked when I found them and they were a 3 piece for that price but I have found them very good at that price point
Been playing these for a year now, this is the best kept secret in golf!! They come in yellow as well. This is the best ProV alternative!!! HANDS DOWN!! SHHHHH, DONT TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!
These golf ball vlogs are good viewing, that ball does seem good and performs good too. Maybe if more ppl use balls like these, the bigger brands will have to reduce the price's. Bridgestone Tour B's for me, they just work.
Wilson Triads can be had at £50 for two dozen currently. There is always the Kirkland’s at £30 for two dozen from Costco although if buying mail order ( non member) need to buy 4 dozen.
"tour" balls around here are $85 CAD a dozen tax in, sod that when I can get them off a recovered ball website for 1/3 the cost on average and they suit my game just fine
Never heard about these golf balls, your data suggests they perform well against the other brands, looks like you guys are playing at your former work place, you should update us on if you are still working at either golf course or is it you tube full time
By "soft" what do you mean Gary? Compression or the feel off the cover? They are two very different things. Compression for the AD333 is 70, the ProV1 is 87. The PV1 may feel softer I guess due to the urethane cover. I imagine the legato is similar compression to the PV1, if not a little firmer.
I'd love to see a comparison between the Callaway Super soft and these Lagato balls, the Callaway Super soft balls are £24.99 on Amazon, the Lagato are £29.99, both great prices compared to the Titleist. You always bring great reviews to TH-cam on products that aren't the norm, like the Caiton balls which are also a decent ball, well done Gary, great work. 👌🏼

I can see why! Not often you test a ball that competes at both the top and bottom end of the bag with the big boys at £45 a dozen
I was told about these balls from Gabe at let's play thru! Another great channel!
Do you think you'll start using them instead of the PV1's @garymartingolf.?
Nice upload Gary, nice to see you play and see Rotherham Golf Club:)
Lot's more coming in terms of playing vlogs soon!
Those are suppose to be very good! I don’t necessarily want spin back, I want drop and stop. Thank Guys
How about a bunker test? For spin and assessing durability
Thanks for your reply and I am sure all your friends and subscribers will be behind you 100% and you realize your dream

Thanks Joe 👌🏼

That was a very positive golf ball review and they really have caught my attention especially at the price, seriously considering ordering some
I’ll direct message you
You say le-gayto I say Le-gaaaato You say to-mayto I say say to-maaato 🤣

Very interesting might be worth while me buying some and see for myself cheers Gaz👍

That’s very interesting! I’ve not seen a penfold ace for years! I’ll have a look 👀

Couldn’t agree more Gary! 🔥
Definitely worth a try at that price point
Doesn't make sense buying a £25 two piece if you ask me.
I got a dozen for 19.99 last year. Amazon has a one day or weekend special occasionally.
Been using these for the past 3 months got them for £22 for a dozen and I can't tell the difference between this and the prov1 first seen on let's play through.
Great, as always ⛳️
I think Taylor made soft response, 3piece ball, £19.99 in the uk are fantastic for the price Gary. What do think? I’d be intested how they stand up to a more expensive 3piece ball
Are you sure the soft response is 3 piece, I always assumed it was a 2 piece at that price. I’ll check it out.

Bridgestone Tour B's for me, they just work.
Every time you do a great review on these lower cost products. The prices jump up 😂
No way! What are they? They’re £29.99 on Amazon I’m sure.
@garymartingolf not this exact product. But temu and the others definitely do 😂
Thing is if you shop round in sales you get a dozen really good balls for 30 or under
You want to get yourself to eagle golf in Leeds 2 dozen ad333 for 40 quid. Unreal scenes
I've not heard of them actually. Good price that.
Wilson Triads can be had at £50 for two dozen currently. There is always the Kirkland’s at £30 for two dozen from Costco although if buying mail order ( non member) need to buy 4 dozen.
It’s 49.99 in Canada
That's an easy pricepoint GAZ... $35 USD... Kirkland. Best ball for the money to date
"tour" balls around here are $85 CAD a dozen tax in, sod that when I can get them off a recovered ball website for 1/3 the cost on average and they suit my game just fine
You must know by now, I’m not the one to be spending obscene money on balls lol
@@garymartingolf
especially when you consider how much of that price tag goes to marketing and pro endorsement deals
Here in OZ this ball is AU$56.50, $1 cheeper than the Wilson Staff Model(my current ball of choice) so I see no reason to gamble on an unknown entity.
Never heard about these golf balls, your data suggests they perform well against the other brands, looks like you guys are playing at your former work place, you should update us on if you are still working at either golf course or is it you tube full time
I’m attached at Rotherham Golf Club, doing TH-cam full time from December ⛳️👌🏼
Let me know gary when yr up at rotherham again il pop up have a chat if thats ok 👍
Gary decides to try to do this full-time, and now we get ads every 90 seconds. 😂
TH-cam aren’t suppose to put people off watching. Sorry
@@garymartingolf
Don't stress it. I'll watch some, skip some.
@@whocares3986 Try brave.
Pros get free balls and non-pros should be playing Top Flite (Callaway)
Legato gat not gate
Was there a spelling mistake ?
Pronunciation Gary, Le- gat- o. Not Le- gate- o
Gabe from Let's Play Thru in the US swears by the Legato, has been using for ages
@@andyfrizzell4352 It's often we find a ball that competes on distance and short iron spin, its usually one or the other.
@@andyfrizzell4352 It's actually Le-gaht-o. (Extended 'a' sound).

I mean the interaction between club and ball at slow speeds, so I guess the feel of the outer shell, not compression.
@garymartingolf ok, thanks for clarifying.
Can't see these taking off at all tbh
I don’t know what’s considered taking off, but their business is valued at 3.4M
£30/dozen? £25/dozen would be fair.
That's the current price, but I'm sure there is periodic sales.
I'd love to see a comparison between the Callaway Super soft and these Lagato balls, the Callaway Super soft balls are £24.99 on Amazon, the Lagato are £29.99, both great prices compared to the Titleist.

Kirkland are much cheaper and probably just the same in terms of your ball data
