Thank you for your insight on social media. It's interesting & depressing about some of the apps you talked about. I am glad I don't have any of those apps. It's no coincidence that they hire the same people that create the pokies software for their social media apps. They make more money when they get you addicted to their apps so they can sell more advertising. I am also from Australia. It is the best country IMHO. There's so many beautiful places & parks to visit in the summer time. I don't compare myself to others because I need to focus on what is important to me. I never care about other people because I am busy living my own life. What people do or own is none of my business. Looking forward to see more content from you because we have similar mindset and I am always learning from other people. Cheers mate.
I underlined some of your passages-very true! Luckily, I have never had any social media, so I've been spared from this. I totally agree: time is definitely more valuable than money. Of course, if you are addicted to gambling and lose all your money, this will have huge repercussions on your life as well. I'm happy you finally decided to step off the social media train. They can truly be a cancer to our society
Congratulations on your keen insights about social media, but more than that, kudos for taking steps to make meaningful improvements in your life. Sounds like its made significant impact in your life. A question I asked myself years ago (I no longer need to ask) is who benefits from all this activity on social media? Who is deriving some value from it? Someone is because it continues. Not those who use it though. Congrats on your business, btw! You should be proud of yourself!
Thank you David! In my opinion, the only ones benefiting from society's addiction to social media are the companies themselves who make billions a year from advertising and selling our data.
@@hey.alexedwards you got it. To me it seems not only irresponsible but also immoral for a company in such a position to capitalize on the misery induced by using the products they created, even though the folks using the apps do so willingly. Those users don’t have the knowledge or maturity (not a put down) to turn away from using their apps. It’s a credit to you that you were able to see that clearly and decide ‘no more’
