I honestly think Milviz makes the most entertaining planes. They're jampacked with small details, all those little things you can turn on, all those custom sounds etc. Their new 310R is amazing, it even has an airplane cleanliness slider so you can make your plane look dirty if you want. Incredibly fun.
Great to see a NZ video from you AvAngel! And great combination of aircraft and scenery too! As a few others have said, the readme recommends uninstalling Orbx NZ Mesh for now due to SU9 issues causing all sorts of offsets and spikes. Meteoblue’s snow coverage resolution appears to be very low for NZ too- there’s only snow above about 7000 feet around the Southern Alps currently, and Glentanner and Mount Cook Airport only see snowfall to ground level a few times a year. As for testing out the snow prior to landing, the first flight of the day up to the glacier usually do a downhill run with flap 15 and skis just touching the snow to create some guidance lines with shadow helping give depth perception in the great white expanse. The correct technique is to then climb away and make a dumbbell turn back to land up hill. Like you saw at the end, these lines have been included with photo real ground textures. Cheers!
I love flying NZ south lands in MSFS, especially the valleys around Mt. Cook and such. Also the western and eastern shores are great for sight seeing. As for the mountain flying I do encourage everyone to look for good old mountain flying videos from FAA to discover here at TH-cam. they are great to provide baseline information on this fascinating topic.
I won the Cambridge & Hobart NZA scenery ages ago on a stream I was taking part in. Great bunch and do some really nice stuff. Tried to support them since and have picked this up. Could be fun now the Kodiak has been updated with failures 😛
What a beautiful and exciting video! I really enjoyed learning some more about mountain flying. Have you ever done a real-world mountain flying training?
unlucky NZ Orbx Mesh it not utilizzable at the moment, they need to fix. This scenery was born to works 100% with it, but not at the moment :) we suggest to remove the mesh at the moment
All Orbx mesh is broken since SU9 Rachel! I could see things looked all wrong. Until a fix comes uninstall it, and fly there with a non snowy weather preset...it's stunning! Thanks for the vid as always..great content :) NZA have knocked it out of the park with this little beauty.
The snowline in Microsoft Flight Simulator is not based on altitude, it paints an entire area as snowcovered regardless of what altitude the terrain is at. I know it would be hard to calculate the exact altitude of the snowline all accross the world but I wish the game would roughly estimate the snowline/altitude because it looks really hoaky to have a completely snow covered mountain right next to a bare mountain of similar height and I often just turn the snow layer off. I study the weather as a hobby and have estimated the average snowline during different seasons for every mountain range on earth would be share my data with Microsoft. I might be off by as much as a few thousand feet but it would be cool to have a more realistic snowline. In the Alaska coastal mountains the average winter snowline is sea level and the average summer snowline is 3,000 to 7,000 feet In the In the cascades the average winter snowline is 1,500 to 3,000 feet and the average summer snowline is 6,000 to 10,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada the average winter snowline is 4,000 to 6,000 feet and the average summer snowline is 13,000 to 16,000 feet
You would think the pilots of the Porter and helo would have waved some flags or something to help us find landing strip... (My hands are still sweating)
Hello, could you please tell me what add-on you are using to get the i-pad and the cargo/passengers ? That’s really cool and would like to use it in the sim.

One of the things I found out from the SIM a while ago is how beautiful new Zealand is
A great part of New Zealand. Apart from the mountain huts for climbers, a lot of people like to go heliskiing to catch the fresh snow.

Lol that was fun! Hahaha I was getting a little nervous thinking that we would not make that landing! I always love your videos!!!👍👍👍
I think you just sold me that scenery !

Yes you are right about Orbx mesh broken. It is a mess around Queenstown. I messaged them about it and they seemed unaware!
Thank you for this. I learned quite a bit from your experience. Great scenery and flying!
Lol...New Zealanders don't use the C word alot - that's Aussies! Thanks for the NZA simulations scenery info :)
Awesome. My dad visited that place before.
Thanks for the mountain flying instructions!
I always enjoy your videos. Thank you so much
lovely! I've been waiting for this one. Thank you for the review!
Great flight! In the United States and Canada, a ton is defined to be 2,000 pounds (907.185 kg). :)
And there is the difference between a US ton, and a metric ton :D
Just saw the NZA scenery and it's on my wishlist. Thanks for the flight through it!
Hope you enjoy it!
digging that livery! classic movie
Wow! I love watching your videos they are soooo exciting.

Wow, harsh on the Welsh. I'm in the U.S. so I thought you going to go with Tennessee or West Virginia or something.
Dammit, I thought the stage 2 update was out!
Any chance you could check out the FSReborn Sting S4?
I just got to say that every time I hear your voice, it's like listening to a Smithsonian Channel Documentary!
Great ride ..

Milviz’s pc6 Porter
@@AvAngel ok thank you. I’m looking for just the iPad, thought maybe you could put that into any plane. I didn’t realize the iPad came with the plane.
I hope you give us a Darkstar review from Orcas?
That might be memes, why not.
What you said about our "Honest" language... Fucken' yes! Loved the video, Kia Ora Rachael!
