@Michelle Eve Murphy you seem like you need to be surprised how evil minor keys can sound. You don't have to go to phrygian to make it evil. I think, the "happy vs sad" categories don't fit the modes. They should be sorted on a spectrum of bright to dark. Minor is just darker sounding than most other modes; the only "standard" modes that sound darker are phrygian and lokrian.
this is a masterpiece, not meant to be in youtube, destined to be in a museum remembered by all. you have created something else, this is not more just rhymes or songs, this is art. this is beautiful. you have created more than art, you have created a story, that will guide lifes of others, this is beauty in its finest. this is everything and all between earth and the infinite void of vast emptynes. this is where we are but shall no more because you have created everything and nothing, so insignificant and worthless , but at the same time something so passionate and beautiful. i'm. so are you. and all, everybody around us. this is word of mine.
The actual lyrics to Mary has a little lamb are Mary has a little lamb Her father shot it dead Now it goes with her to school Between two hunks of bread
The corrupted "If You're Happy & You Know It" should just be the theme of the Joker. A childish and playful tune at heart, but it's been twisted and tortured to become dark, chaotic, and disturbing through loss and misfortune. Noicely done.
Ok but how about this: There was this boy and his father played the piano and teached him twinkle twinkle little star when he was just a child, but then a few years later the father died of cancer. That crushed the family, the mother put the piano in the basement, but the boy would still play in secret. One day the mother got a new boyfriend which was a horrible greedy man and when he found out about the piano he decided to sell it. The boy, now a young man did not want that but couldnt do anything. That night he went to the basment and started playing twinkle twinkle but as his sadness and anger emerge he played this version.
If your insane and you know stab a man, if your insane and you know kill your friends, if your insane and really want to show it set fire to the mental hospital you end up in. 😆🤣 me 😈 Totally me 😁 Don’t worry it’s fine I haven’t killed anyone I’m only a kid.
Ideas I came up with for each -epic- dark version: 1. We see how an extremely successful farm that sells meat products makes it food - by slaughtering the animals on the farm. 2. Someone thought it would be a good idea to go for a boat ride on the river during a storm, and thus faced the consequences by ending up in a boat wreck and drowning. 3. Someone is trapped in a dream ((or rather, a nightmare)) and cannot wake up. The nightmare is filled with their greatest fear(s), and thus they are locked in eternal darkness. Everytime they think they have the slightest bit of hope, things take a turn for the worse. 4. A young girl develops a lovely friendship with a lamb that lives on her family's farm, and it follows her everywhere she goes. Eventually though, as these things go, the lamb is sold or killed for its meat and fleece, and the girl is devastated. 5. Every time a killer finds a new victim, he throws them a little "party" and makes them act happy. He makes them have as much fun as possible before their death.
For number 4, what if Marry kept her lam form being slaughtered. but eventually die to some accident, it still dies anyway. She goes to school the next day after burying it only for it to follow her again, and again. And again... Basically Marry lived next to the Pet Semitary without realizing it...
This is just another proof that when played in minor everything can make people feel uneasy, but honestly, what is truly terriffying about these songs are all those semi-demi-quarters.
These aren’t scary, they FRICKING SLAP. I love the ‘darker’ versions. ESPECIALLY ROW ROW ROW YOUR STARSHIP DESTROYER. Row row row your starship destroyer honestly sounds amazing. Edit: or maybe I’m just a psychopath. Edit: also, props to the 8 legged spider that played these songs.
*Sees title* Can’t be that different... “Old Macdonald Has An Empire” “Row, Row, Row Your Starship Destroyer” “Twinkle, Twinkle, Eternal Darkness” “Mary Had A Scheming Lamb” “If You’re Insane and You Know It” Old Macdonald, the emperor of the Old Empire, having long conquered the depths of outer space with his Starship Destroyer, is now coasting within the Eternal Darkness of the void, his Little Star long gone. His ship piloted by the Lamb of Mary, he sits in his chair, clapping to the beat of his own Insanity.
Me: mom, when can I quit piano? My Asian mom: when you’ve learned these five nursery songs. Me: nursery songs that should be easy. My Mom: EVIL EPIC VERSION.
"Old MacDonald Made Some Meat" "Row, Row, Off The Ledge" "Twinkle Twinkle, Dying Light" "Mary Sacrificed Her Lamb" "If You're Hurt and You Know It, Cut Your Wrists" Cool Titles if you remixed these even more, technologically.
I have goosebumps listening to these and I love them. They sound outstanding really bringing out the darker meanings of nursery rhymes often overlooked by the public.
Oh my god i love how mary had a scheming lamb started out so pure and innocent like a little lamb and then completely transformed from there and then if you're insane and you know it, ugh, I loved how it switched all over there place and would sound normal, insane, nothing like the original and everything in between. It really does give the vibe for me and sounds kinda like something you would hear in wonderland
Me: **Jamming out, pretending to play piano/lip syncing** My friends: Ooo cool, what are you listening to? Me: ............ old mcdonald had an empire ............
Old McDonald had an empire: Sit, child, sit and listen. These days they call him a hero, the harbinger and the uniter of the nation, but then? A madman. Some say he started with the empire passed to him from his father Old McDonald did nothing but bring it to a turning. Some say he was a mere counselor, but one who became somewhat of a friend of the emperor. Do you know why Old McDonald was truly terrifying, child? Because he was none of these things. No, child, no, Old McDonald was but a son of a farmer. Old McDonald grew on a farm with his father and sister. His mother was lost to some bored, sadistic guard who passed as he escorted the king to one place or another. It is then he took his vow - the vow to not merely kill, but eradicate the king like vermin. And so he did, child, he did. At first, he tried to simply put poison in his foodstuff and drinks, but that, of course, did not bring the... desired, shall we say, result. The king, of course, had a man to test and taste his foods to be sure it is up to par, you see. If Old McDonald was caught there and then, put through the court, and stuffed into prison, the entire revolution wouldn't have happened. As he was brought before the court, his father begged they took him instead of Old McDonald, he begged to pay for his child's wrongdoing. The court agreed and executed Old McDonald's father before his very eyes, and so his rage grew a thousandfold. When his sister passed, his rage became sadness, and then once his mourning finished, anger. Not anger like that of a common city guard stepping in the droppings of a peasant, no child, anger like that of gods. Now, a man with nothing to lose but his life, which he had not cared for, he snuck into the king's castle. It was a sight like no other - some hundred men lay breathless on the ground, each next to the other, but there was no blood. He strangled each man, one by one, and then brought their lifeless bodies back to their posts, as if to say "it is here where you die, your majesty, not in war, not in struggle or a fight, but at the foot of your door, and there is nothing to postpone this." The foolish king grew anxious, for what monster would not just do, but be able to strangle a hundred well-trained guards right there and then? Right there at their post? Why was there no commotion, no fighting, no resistance? Why would they give up their lives in such a hurry? And so, he brought every man and woman to try and protect him. Old McDonald had no fear in him, child. More men meant nothing to him, you hear, child? More guards - merely more men to slaughter. And so he did. When he came to the room of the king, he made sure it would be noon, he wanted to see the eyes of the king turn white as he took his life, child. Some say he took it with a dagger, some say he took it with his own hands, some say poison, but if it was anything of those, it could not be. The next day the king was found. He made sure of it by bringing his lifeless shell to the then-city's middle hub. There was no puncture in his skin, child, no blood, although it was all drained. There was no sign of poison in his body, no bruises, no nothing. It was if the king suddenly gave himself to the gods. The only thing missing was his heart, but even that was taken away cleanly - no cuts, no deforming. It was as if the king saw Old McDonald and his body ejected his heart immediately. Truly, a sight of its own to behold. It is then Old McDonald took over the city and began his thirteen crusades. There was no resistance. Unlike the king, Old McDonald brought himself to the battlefields to fight along with his men. When the king fought, he did so in the comfort of his castle, but Old McDonald? An entirely new sight to behold. Some of the old guards say there was a strange, nigh sadistic twinkle in his eyes, as if light came through them as he fought. And so, child, through the thirteen crusades old McDonald overthrew thirteen kings more and made them kneel before him. Only one other king was foolish enough to try and resist. Then and there they saw the same thing happen - once more the king lost his life. Once more, no puncture, his blood and heart missing, and his eyes turned pure white. They do not know if Old McDonald was a god himself or perhaps something other, perhaps a demon. Those who spoke against Old McDonald were imprisoned right there on the spot and... "educated", he called it, but they were not the same as they were when the guards came. Were they possessed? Nobody knows, child, nobody knows. And so, through his acts of cruelty and so-called education, Old McDonald brought the empire together. True, some men and women became hollow, but those who did not, pledged their allegiance to Old McDonald and fought along him to conquer more and more for the empire. The more they fought, the more the empire grew, and more men and women were educated. The more people were educated, the more the empire grew. A cycle like no other. And so, once Old McDonald passed away, through all his deeds, the empire was united. The new emperor is a mere replacement, a statue of sorts. The laws abolished by Old McDonald remain abolished, the laws put in place by Old McDonald remain in place to never be changed. The emperor does nothing but sit on Old McDonald's throne and watch. The new emperor does not govern as harshly as Old McDonald did. He does not need to. Most people are educated now. All the emperor now does is simply seek more and more people to educate, not out of need, but out of fear, for if a revolution is to rise, the emperor would be overthrown in not days, not hours, but in seconds. Sometimes, child, it is said that the spirit of Old McDonald still walks the castle. Some say Old McDonald's spirit whispers things in the emperor's ear and educates him further. I do not believe Old McDonald to be truly gone, child. ... ... Ah, I apologize, child, you go on your merry way. The ramblings of an old man should not bother you as much. Worry not of the future, Old McDonald has united us all and brought us the education we so much needed. Hop on to school now and you too will receive it. We all will.
I really liked the darkened versions of the songs. In my opinion they kinda sound as if they would be like a villain origin story, or how something so sweet and innocent turned to betrayal. (Somehow i got most of this from Old McDonald had an Empire)
"Mary had a scheming lamb" was so epic that my mind sparkled an idea for a fairy tale : "Mary and the little lamb" (Also I feel like need to point out that the ending of the song do not fit the story ending). Don't click "Read more" if you don't want to read. You clicked it. Alright. Here it goes. (sorry for any english mistakes) The story began with a mother and a daughter living together in a small house next to a forest. The daughter’s name was Mary, she was 8. One day, wandering around the farm, she found a small lamb. It was badly hurt, so she took it inside, called her mother for help. After a week, the lamb has recovered a litlle. The family went to the village near their place and asked if the lamb belonged to anyone. No one owned him. The mother accepted her daughter to take care of the lamb. (we will temporary call him “L”, yeah that’s kinda terrible). A while after, L had fully recovered, very fast. One thing that made L distinguish was that his fur was brighter than any other lamb, he was also taller and more extraordinary. Mary made a collar out of cloth and wore it to L’s neck. They became besties. After 4 years, Mary turned 12. For some nights, she began to have weird dreams about the forest and a mysterious creature that lived deep inside. An afternoon, Mary was sitting under a tree, L was chasing a butterfly, L started to run into the forest. She called him back, but he kept running, so she rushed after. When the two stopped, Mary realized that both got lost, the path behind disapeared. It was turing dark and they had to find a way to go back. Fortunately, they found a good place to stay under a big rock and a stream nearby. Mary was cold so L hugged her, she felt asleep a moment after. In the middle of the night, some wolves appeared from nowhere and began to attack the two. Mary and L ran away along the stream but the wolves kept chasing after. Mary tripped over a rock and fell, bumping her head into the hard ground. Before fainting, she blindedly saw L running at the wolves on his only back feet. When Mary woke up, it was morning, L was sleeping on top of her (he was keeping her warm). They then followed the stream, found a cage that lead the two into a magical place, where existed the creatures that people believed didn’t (Dragons and any other animals), like a paradise. They were very kind and help Mary through the way. She was hungry so she ate a lot of fruit. She also rode a dragon for the first (and maybe the only) time in her life. At the end of the journey, they walked into a lane between big old trees. A house appeared. Mary wondered who this house belonged to, that was the time for L to reveal himself. L stood up on his two feet, a half lamb, half human creature, the two small horns appeared too. He was, in fact, an alone spirit, who got hurt in the human world. His name was Lamar. He appreciated Mary for helping and taking care of him. Lamar said that if any human got into this world, they cannot come back, but because he trusted Mary, he can help Mary to go back if she and her mother promises that the family must keep secret of all of these. At first Mary didn’t want Lamar to leave, but eventually, she promised. Lamar also said that he will come back in the future, he asked to keep the collar because it was very meaningful to him. Lamar then guided Mary to the big door that laid a way out. She hugged him for the last time before leaving. As she was running, Lamar waved at the distance. The house was gone, Mary saw a flashing light at her direction and as she ran through it, she got out of the forest right at the place she got in. It was afternoon, she went back to the house. Her mother cried when she saw Mary at the door, said she had thought Mary could have been gone. When she asked where L was, Mary replied that she had let him go because he had wanted to so. Mary and her mother continued to live happily years after. (The future, 13 years later, Mary turned 25. One day, when she got back home from the farm, she heard a knocking on the door. Mary proceeded to go out and open. There was no one, but a lamb standing right under her. On its neck, showed a pink cloth collar with a written name “Lamar”. ) Wow, if you went all this way down here, thank you ! I'm sorry if this bothers you but, if you like the story, I'm happy with it. Thanks MusicalBasics for the great video. Just one more thing, if anyone copies the story, I have a file of the whole thing that tells the exact time and date I wrote this, so please don't steal.

Whenever I listen to this I just imagine A angel or something is trying to teach they’re demon friend how to play a few happy little piano songs but every thing that the demon try’s to play turns out to be some demonic sounding masterpiece and the angel is just like ...well that’s nice and all but not really what we’re trying to do here
The music has me sadistically pleased, but what's got me HORRIFIED... 1. the fact that there's no printable sheet music for these masterpieces 2. him going way above and beyond our expectations. i thought he was just gonna change a few notes and end it at the same place, but *NO.* He changes it up so dark it's got me giggling, and then he adds some extreme length to it and makes it *even more badass.* Wonderful bloody job, mate. Can we talk about how basically every dark song here is most likely Star Wars themed. Empire, Starship Destroyer, Eternal Darkness, Scheming Lamb, Insane and you know it. Ok, Emperor with his giant Stardestroyers trying to bring the rule of the sith back(basically darkness), which was his giant scheme for years, and he tries to convert Rey into the new Sith Lord using her Dark Side. So the entire episode 9 plot. Music was great and I could feel the lyrics. Great job!

Ok but how about this:
There was this boy and his father played the piano and teached him twinkle twinkle little star when he was just a child, but then a few years later the father died of cancer.
Beautiful...
That this dude isn't traumasized yet.

Reuben Matthias i think some need two people! Some are just impossible with only two hands!
And they sound similar to classical pieces! They’re very melodic and not too demonic
Ideas I came up with for each -epic- dark version:
ETPS I love it

Old McDonald had an empire:
Sit, child, sit and listen.
He strangled each man, one by one, and then brought their lifeless bodies back to their posts, as if to say "it is here where you die, your majesty, not in war, not in struggle or a fight, but at the foot of your door, and there is nothing to postpone this."
The foolish king grew anxious, for what monster would not just do, but be able to strangle a hundred well-trained guards right there and then?

(sorry for any english mistakes)
The story began with a mother and a daughter living together in a small house next to a forest.
On its neck, showed a pink cloth collar with a written name “Lamar”.
)

Old Mac Donald HAD a farm
That on about the mouse running up the clock was about the black death.
@@ivovonbank8895 the clock symbolizes running out of time and the mouse is the cause of the black death
Ring around the rosie is about a plague and how they put posies on the graves of people who died from it. I'm pretty sure it was originally "we all drop dead" not "we all fall down" 😂
Just imagine a kid at a talent show plays Row, Row, Row Your Starship Destroyer and they had no idea it's Row, Row Row Your Boat

Mary had a Scheming Lamb sounds like a song that might play when you fight sans in a Undertale AU.
Row, Row Your *STARSHIP DESTROYER*- LMAO-
@@Akashathesilentassassin Oh Its not mine I just copy-paste the comment for myself to get the time stamps but I didn't name the "dark" songs but that's funny indeed

Me: finally...some good f*ckin music

The Mary had a Little Lamb one kind of sounded like anime music
@@bichimadorable9697 honestly it all sounded either like an epic anime ost or the star wars soundtrack...😂😂
Yup
Mary Had a Scheming Lamb isn't horrifying or dark, it sounds like an epic OST for Kung Fu Panda or something
But I like it a lot anyway
It wasn't just me!! I THOUGHT THAT TO! ○w○
It’s because it’s not in minor scale
I was thinking the same thing, and it would be even cooler if it was played with Chinese instruments accompanying Western instruments .
Finnaly, I needed a new soundtrack for my ꙅЯƎbɿUm thanks!
It took me a minute to realize that the spooky version of the song’s titles were associated in a way to the dark side of the force.
Lol same
Hol up
Where's the mindblown emoji?
lmao same here
All it took me was see their name.

Oh- VERY GOOD PLOT

Only in Texas
Horrific ones are SO much better than the normel nursery rhymes!! Good music btw!
True I even said that
BTW
Tell that to a 3 year old kid and watch his reaction
One part I like from this is the creativity you put in the dark names.😀
Can we talk about how basically every dark song here is most likely Star Wars themed. Empire, Starship Destroyer, Eternal Darkness, Scheming Lamb, Insane and you know it. Ok, Emperor with his giant Stardestroyers trying to bring the rule of the sith back(basically darkness), which was his giant scheme for years, and he tries to convert Rey into the new Sith Lord using her Dark Side. So the entire episode 9 plot. Music was great and I could feel the lyrics. Great job!
Thankyou I was looking for someone to mention it.
That's kind of the point.
Given your name is void astro. And yes i do agree that these are star wars themed
@@thefamousandinfamous1420 oh sry, but it was realeased over half of a year ago. and I saw it months aftr it came out so I was kinda late too.
