    I love the way you narrate the recipe. Now I am going to try, though for the first time.

    Oh man! It's been ages since I've made meringues, but the addition of the shaved chocolate and the Nutella spread have me thinking this may be my weekend project. Thanks do much for sharing!

    I have been looking for a recipe for these meringues. Thank you for having clear diction, detailed recipe information and clean fingernails (LOL). Could you make lemon and strawberry? I have Spring fever right now and plating these with flowers would look amazing for company.

    May I ask whats the cornstarch for?

    Love your video, look forward to viewing more. I thought you would eat one at the end! They looked beautifully displayed on the white cake plate! Hmmmm... should I also add cornstarch? I live close to S.F., and our weather is moist, to say the least! I heard the cornstarch stops them from getting sticky.

      Yes cornstarch does help! Thanks for watching!

    Hello, is it true if using cornstarch will prevent meringue from.sticky? i live in a tropical country. Thanks!

    i want to try these but i have a question if i use powdered sugar that already contain corn starch do i need to add 1 tbs of corn starch

    • @WyseGuide
      @WyseGuide  10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question! Most powdered sugar does contain some cornstarch to help is be smooth and flow easily so yes I would still add the cornstarch in the recipe. Thanks for watching!

    Hmmmm I want to make them but I detest nutella. Not my kind of nut. Lol so would Hershey's chocolate spread in the jar work? Thank you Kaleb. Great calming video

    Hi! If i'd like to make coffee meringues instead of chocolate ones, can i just substitute the cocoa powder for espresso powder in this recipe? :)

  • @aamena5730
    @aamena5730 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    is there a substitute for cream of tartar ?

  • @llaniragloria2595

    does the cocoa powder need to be sweetened or unsweetened?

    • @iLikeBasss
      @iLikeBasss 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd go for unsweetened, there's already a lot of sugar in the mixture

    Can I ignore cream of tartar?

    • @WyseGuide
      @WyseGuide  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cream of tartar stabilizes the egg whites and can be fairly important but you can try substituting salt instead. The whites will not be as smooth or glossy.

    Some people don't use cream of tartar or corn flour (starch) and get the perfect meringue. It's a personal choice.
    I've used almond and vanilla extract to flavour, but it's always best to use dried flavours such as freeze dried strawberries or raspberries. Try dried juniper berries for an authentic gin and tonic flavour!
    You're welcome :)

    • @WyseGuide
      @WyseGuide  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right cream of tartar isn't necessarily needed but makes it a bit easier for some, I love the idea of freeze dried fruits I'll have to try that next, thanks!

      Yes Barbie, These are sort of macaroon-esque but definitely more simple and quicker to make! Just as delicious!
