    In the UK - and many other countries - there are organisations that describe themselves as ‘think tanks’. They expressly set out to explore ideas and influence public policy. They usually produce research reports - some better than others - and promote them through the media and in policy circles.
    Some are very clear about who funds them and the ideology that underpins their work. Many provide vital independent scrutiny of ideas and expert analysis of public policy. But many are not as open as they could be.

    Whoever pays the piper calls the tune. We need to know this to make informed judgements. It's how democracy works or fails

    boycott any organisation that can't tell you who funds them and how. we're better off shutting out Individuals with too much unchecked influence on distributing information

    Not only are their funding a secret, they get charitable status to avoid British tax. But unlike most charities, they do harm, not good.

    I would like to know how this UK now in such a Terminal Decline is subject to Utilities RIP Offs via uncompetitive Charges that carry(as per my recent Water Bill)a Fifty PerCent Standing Charge more than water 💧 used! Of over £100 x3 Months l can’t afford as a Pensioner Standing Charges are a rip-off on all Essential Services often more than the actual product used as anyone can verify on their Gas , Electricity, Water , Phone Billing That Ramps Up Inflation Across Economy Thankyou For Your Being Available To Contact.
