They are just hating on India... Meanwhile people like you, who respects the country give criticism whi is geniune and we can listen to is and work on it for our own benefit.

We have only one enemy, the United States. and dont trust the western media, they are just an Anglo Saxon propaganda machine. They create conflicts between China and India and then profit from it, only by letting America collapse and get rid of the American financial system, all human beings in 3rd world countries can stand up

As a British Indian that had 2 businesses in India...I've seen a few problems.
      1. There isn't enough forward thinking. Everyone wants to make money today and not strategies 10 20 or 40 years ahead.
      2. Alot of lazy people. Your employees are always looking to become your boss by stealing your contacts and business strategies. Hard to trust people there.
I would still do business there. But it's so far behind the west way of thinking.

As an Indian, I agree with all the corrective measures. Firstly, age barriers must be removed from technical education especially ITI, Diplomas and Degrees in Engineering. Secondly, our government must relax the environmental laws and bureaucratic loopholes which are the graveyard of most indigenous entrepreneurs.

No you would have to do more structural changes than that. Remember your country set it's self up to be an Indian Empire. Well you got your wish, now a small group of Indian families control all wealth and power in India. What you should design India to be was a "Industrial Nation State" with a strong "Indian Middle Class". Please remember Indian, Empire do not create "equality". If you want to create better economic opportunities in India, you want to create the "American Dream" in India then you must change your political structure in India.

You would need to strengthen the Central Government and you need to create good Capital Markets that allow bottom up innovation, not top down Indian government micromanagement. That what you have right now, still to many Indian government "Babu's" come out of the wood work and try to get bribes or tell you what to do in India.

Quality, Quality, Quality sells products. Since India's production costs are less than half that of China's production costs, India can focus on making higher quality goods - better than cheap plastic junk from China that breaks in 3 uses. With India's current cost advantages, India can produce goods with twice the quality of China, and sell them at lower prices. The consumer market's invisible hand will drop the junk MADE IN CHINA, and spend Euros and Dollars on MADE IN INDIA !

As a non-Indian, I have huge respect for India and the Indian people. There's a reason why the world's most successful companies are run by Indian CEOs. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, IBM, Chanel, Starbucks, the list goes on. Is it the family emphasis on education, values, success? Is it the fact that there is a big population and hence the need to compete and perform? The world can definitely learn a lot from India.

100% agreed brother. I had the misfortune of living in a state which was ruled by Congress with Congress govt at center also and no progress was ever witnessed. Infact Congress has this track record of holding India back, I mean take a look at Real Time Payments they mocked BJP/Modi over it, then in Dec 2022 when IMF praised Modi govt for India stack Chidambram tried to give Congress the credit for it. Every building block to make India stack a reality was done by BJP but yet Congress was shameless trying to take credit for something they created obstacles at every corner. With BJP progress is visible with sound economics but with Congress it was same motto we did this n that for farmers. I respect the fact that agricultural sector is vital but thay doesn't mean you ignore the rest. Under BJP India has been more stable and consistent whereas under Congress it was opposite.

I moved with my family from EU to India, the cost of life is like 70% lower than in Europe but they need to work on their infrastructure. If you want to compare the two, you have to look at Chinese infrastructure, they are way more advanced with everything. India is leading in low cost labour while China is leading with production facilities and infrastructure to support the export of goods. Corruption is still high in India and many government processes are very very slow, while China is moving fast with foreign investment.

That is super interesting. From what I can see the cost of living in India is ridiculously low if you work for western company. They make £5-8K pa, while appartment in major IT center is only £10-20K. Compare that to London where price to income is closer to 10x with salary £60-70K. So they seem to be 5 times better off in India, while earning 10x less. And whats even stranger - the gap in price to income is growing at fast pace, instead of shrinking. Like they are set up to win!
Perhaps other costs are relatively higher I do not have full picture, how is it with bills, food and other costs?

@@bigbarry8343 To be honest I still don't understand the ratio of income and cost and how the gap is so big. We live in Bangalore which is a tech hub of India,I run my own small tech business and my wife is an executive for one of the biggest tech giants in the world, so our earnings are way above Indian standards. We rent a 3 bedroom vila with private pool, sauna, steam room and gym for 370£ monthly, that includes pool cleaning, maintenance and technical water supply for the house, cooking gas supplier charge 8£ every 3 months and electricity bill is 9£ monthly. On average we spend daily around 6£ for groceries, and Uber for 15km going to office and back is around 4£. But one important thing is, India is not for everyone, especially for people from the West. It is beautiful country with amazing culture and diversity but it does affect all your senses, it takes time to adopt yourself to this environment, most of the Western people will have enough of it in just 10 days. It is growing, but I don't see it overtaking China and it should not, it should build unique India for the benefit of it's own people here.

Don't be silly. India is no friend of China. India is a land grabber of China. This land grab happened in 1951. That means this land grab is solely Indian and has nothing to do with the British. And India is only seventy plus years old. If the British never land on the subcontinent there will be no India today but thousands of fiefdoms fighting against each other.
As late as the 1940s after World War II, the flag of the Republic of China (nowadays usually known as Taiwan) was flying high in Tawang, South Tibet. Today the Indian flag is flying there. On August 14th, 1947, Nehru gave his famous 'Tryst with Destiny' speech, and with that, a country that historically did not exist suddenly showed up on China's doorstep. India is similar to South Africa, a country that came into existence only because the colonialists created the country and subsequently and willingly relinquished its power to the indigenous people it once subjugated. If the British had never landed in India, the subcontinent today would comprise thousands of fiefdoms often at each other's throats. This was the time of pre-Communist China (Republic of China), and India continued the expansionist policy of the British Raj and continued the land incursion. The Nationalist China (pre-Communist Republic of China) had been sending repeated diplomatic protests to the then-Indian Nehru government, but, schooled by the British on how to deal with these nuisances, these diplomatic protests were duly ignored. When the Communist China won the civil war and the Republic of China retreated to Taiwan in 1949, India is one of the earliest nation to recognize Communist China and in one fell swoop shuts out the diplomatic channel the ROC used to deliver its diplomatic protests. India's land incursion continued, but Communist China ceased all diplomatic protests. In February 1951, three and a half years after the British Raj had left the subcontinent, India finally trekked up to Tawang, South Tibet, expelled the officials posted there from Lhasa and annexed it. Tawang is the last major Tibetan frontier town. It is the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and home to the four hundred years old Tawang monastery. Historically the Tawang monastery is a central government friendly monastery. This means the news of India invasion and annexation should have arrived in Beijing within a few days at the latest. As expected the Tibetan Lhasa government vehemently protested, as did the Republic of China (by then has already retreated to Taiwan), but curiously, Communist China made no noise. Communist China's accommodation must have greatly emboldened India as it continued to push northward into China, eventually precipitating the one-month-long 1962 India-China war. In the run up to the 1962 war, Zhou En Lai went to New Dehli pleading to Nehru to take what it has stolen (South Tibet) and fix the boundary along the MacMahon alignment (It was termed the MacMahon alignment and not the MacMahon line because the so-called MacMahon line is a diplomatic fogery and is not recognized by either the Communist China or the Nationalist China) but the offer was rejected by India. While China's mission was a last-ditch effort to salvage a still friendly relationship with India, Nehru saw its neighbor's posture as a sign of submission and refused to stop just at South Tibet. Nehru's intransigence is probably because India's land grab has been met with zero resistance in the run-up to the 1962 war, unlike its civil war rival, the Republic of China (Taiwan). So why stop there?
In 1987, India made South Tibet a state and renamed it the so-called Arunachal Pradesh. The Republic of China (usually referred to as Taiwan nowadays) once again issued a statement strongly condemning India. In 1987, India made South Tibet a state and renamed it the so-called Arunachal Pradesh. The Republic of China (usually referred to as Taiwan nowadays) once again issued a statement strongly condemning India.
Here is an excerpt of the statement put out by the Republic of China (usually referred to as Taiwan nowadays):
"In regard to the issue of the Indian government's illegal occupation of our country's territory and the establishment of the so-called 'Arunachal Pradesh,' the foreign ministry of the Republic of China issued the following announcement at midnight:
India's illegal occupation of our country's territory has been repeatedly stated by the government of the Republic of China as something it will not recognize. Recently, the Indian Congress unilaterally passed the establishment of 'Arunachal Pradesh' to the south of the so-called McMahon Line. The Indian government also made it a state. The government of the Republic of China once again solemnly proclaims that the government of India intends to legitimize its illegal occupation of Chinese territory. The government of the Republic of China regards this as illegal, void, and absolutely not recognized."
Besides South Tibet, I would like to bring up one of India's many land grabs, which is the kingdom of Sikkim. Sikkim was a neighbor of China for many hundreds of years and enjoyed a close relationship with China. At one point during the 18th century, Sikkim was briefly overrun by the Nepalese Gorkhas. The Sikkim king fled the country and asked China for help. The then-Qianlong emperor dispatched an expedition force, repelled the Gorkhas, and restored the kingdom's independence. Sikkim was left unmolested for the rest of its history until India gobbled it up in 1975. Land dispute between countries are not uncommon. The US and Canada still have some unresolved land disputes. Territorial disputes in Europe is notoriously hard to resolve given the complex history of the region and often times different lingustic groups resides in the same area and at different time the same region belong to different empire. The land dispute between China and India could never have been simpler. India dispute with China is akin to Turkey arguing with Sweden about a piece of territory in Scandinavia. Its other land grabs are similarly unjustified. Until they were gobbled up by India, Ladakh, South Tibet, and Sikkim had never even been set foot on by the brown race Indian. These places have no connection whatsoever to the subcontinent.
      Free South Tibet from India.

In my opinion India is focusing for self generated growth in accordance with its own needs and requirements rather than creating a domestic economic environment which secures browny points from the experts outside India.
For example india seems to focussing on generating investments internally rather than being overdependent on FDI.
To simplify - India will create its own space research organisation ISRO rather than seeking help from world space organisations like nasa
India will make an attempt to create its own mobile instruments rather than asking Apple to invest in india.
India will attract those investments from the rest of the world which promotes technology transfer and make india self sufficient in long run.
India focuses on creating in its own home made semi conductor chips rather than inviting the foreign companies in india to manufacture the same.
And the biggest difference between India's growth and China's growth is that - India's Growth is propelled more by domestic demand rather than Export demand as compared to china which makes India's growth more self dependent while comparing it with china
India will build the infrastructure and housing construction as per the need rather than creating ghost cities in China
So in short India is playing a long game which ensures sustainable qualitative growth rates in long run by adopting a more inward approach rather than outward approach.
India will attract foreign investors in her own terms and not in the terms and conditions set by the foreign investors. And china seems to have done otherwise
So since chinese seems to have surprisingly bowed down to foreign investors demands for investments in China with few exceptions, India has simply waited patiently for her turn to arrive to set her own conditions for foreign investments.
Just wait and watch what happens in forthcoming 25 years

Literally NONE of it will matter. Like America, India too will end up with only 20% of males (non-nerdy, confident, masculine mentality) getting feminine females from age 14-16 onward - rural males will have more success. Maybe an added 10% will get females but unfeminine ones. The rest of the men have to know that they are kings regardless of whether they will get a chick or not. And the 70% of females who will not have a man, ha ha ha, their lives will always lack meaningfulness regardless of whatever status of looks or money or academics they have.
And yes, more rural females and few urban females (total nearly 20% of all females, from age 14-16 onward), who luckily got a guy in commitment (who must bear the load of headship and greater responsibility as the male) to whom they joyfully submit to and serve in life including sexually (fully domestic couples life beginning between say ages 18 to 23 depending on when they publicly become a couple that lives together, which includes marriage as an example of this same thing basically) and are happy/enthusiastic for romantic/sexual time with their respective males, will have joyous life compared to single females.
And true love, that requires female tender heart - something that is not materialistic of looks, money, status - that true love that was at least 40% common for thousands of years until say early 2010s - that true love will be rare.
Same fate for China. As it has happened for Japan, South Korea.
Yes, not doing one-to-one matchmaking for most of the population as each generation comes, latest by age 23 of the female, is a CATASTROPHIC disaster that WILL come to EVERY country that adopts economic development, big government, commerce without fixing the couple formation and lifelong couples unity issue. Result: A little-sad life (at best) for the 70% single females group, a less-than-little sad life for the 70% single males who will live with laughter, some brotherly friends as kings. Most of society will fall (it deserves to). Some individual homes (20% of male-female units i.e. couples) will thrive.
Moral of the story - you cannot put the couple formation task on the greedier, less responsible sex. The outcome is bad for that sex, a little bad for the male sex, and catastrophic for society, functioning of society, loveliness of society. The West cucked itself when it emancipated the greedier and low-responsibility sex. The rest of the world is following the West's footsteps.

As an Australian who has visited India over 30 times in my life and loves India (and all of its shortomings without the rose colored glasses) I really think that one of the most important things they have going for them is that their Prime Ministers (yes, Modhi is a Prime Minister, not a Peesident) only enjoy power at the will of the populace. I am not particularly a Modhi fan but I can acknowledge his skill in holding his people and government to a course and can admire especially his and his foreign minister's refusal to be cowered by either China or the US.
I think there should be something very reassuring for anyone who wishes to deal with India about the support a government gets from the people and the fact that if they veer of course, they will equally be punished.
There are basically two things you have to know about buying or selling things in Indai -
One is that it is part of their culture to screw you (over an amiable cup of tea) but equally, that they will accept a fair deal in the end.

While India has experienced significant economic growth in recent years, there are several key factors that suggest it may not overtake China as the world's largest economy. Here are some rebuttals to the notion that India will surpass China:
    1. Population disparity: India's population is projected to surpass China's, but a larger population does not guarantee economic supremacy. China's population has played a crucial role in its economic growth, providing a significant labor force and domestic consumer market. However, it also presents challenges such as resource management, infrastructure development, and income inequality, which India would face as well, albeit on a different scale.
    2. GDP gap and growth rate: China's economy is significantly larger than India's in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In 2021, China's GDP was more than five times that of India. Even if India maintains its high growth rate, it would require an extended period of sustained growth to close this gap. Additionally, China's economy has been growing at a rapid pace for several decades, while India has faced more volatility and inconsistency.
    3. Industrial and technological advancement: China has made substantial investments in infrastructure, manufacturing, and technological innovation, which have propelled its economic growth. It has become a global manufacturing hub and has made significant progress in advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, 5G, and renewable energy. While India has also made advancements in technology and innovation, it would require substantial investments and time to catch up to China's level of industrial development.
    4. Economic policies and institutional challenges: China's government has implemented long-term economic planning and policies that have contributed to its sustained growth. Its state-led development model, combined with a relatively stable political environment, has provided a conducive environment for economic expansion. India, on the other hand, faces challenges such as bureaucratic hurdles, regulatory complexities, and political fragmentation, which can impede economic progress and reforms.
    5. Global economic dynamics: The global economic landscape is subject to various external factors, including geopolitical shifts, trade disputes, and technological advancements. These factors can significantly influence the economic trajectories of countries. China has already established itself as a major global player, with extensive trade networks, investment partnerships, and strategic alliances. India would need to navigate these dynamics effectively to attain and sustain the position of the world's largest economy.
While India has the potential for significant economic growth, it faces several challenges that may limit its ability to surpass China as the largest economy in the world. It is essential to consider these factors when assessing the prospects of India's economic rise.

That makes coordination in terms of reducing regulatory burden more difficult. The central government is much more limited in its capacity to push changes than China or the US.
