I never really thought about it until Ann Coulter had that interview with Vivek. But it did get me thinking. To some degree, I agree with her. I think there's some missing context, though. For one, Vivek has no political history-no voting record, no pattern to look at. He came into the presidential primary as an unknown, and I believe that partly influenced Ann Coulter's analysis. The simple truth is, cultures are different. We don't know how strong Vivek’s cultural ties to his parents' home country are compared to the United States. In my lifetime, assimilation has become less common and even looked down upon. We’re often told there is no American culture. How much of this ideology influenced Vivek’s upbringing? We don't know. My concern with someone like Vivek, who doesn’t have a long generational history here, is the potential strong ties to their historical homeland. If the United States is perceived as a sinking ship, where are they going to go? Likely back to their family ties and roots in their parents' home country. They have a lifeboat. However, someone like me-I may have European descent in my genes, but I couldn't name a single relative in Europe. Most of the European countries I have genetic ties to, I can’t even speak their language. If the U.S. sinks-as in, if everything falls apart-I have nowhere else to go. My determination to ensure this ship stays afloat is much higher because my survival and instinct to defend it are at a different level compared to someone who has another option. This is similar to the point JD Vance was making about people with no investment in the future, such as not having kids. Those who are not personally invested might not care as much about what happens after they're gone.
One striking example of how deeply ingrained cultural differences can be, even among those who hold American citizenship, is Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google. Born in India and later becoming a U.S. citizen, Pichai leads one of the largest and most influential corporations in the world. Despite his legal status and professional success in America, Pichai has made it clear that he does not fully subscribe to the same free speech values that many Americans hold dear. In public statements, Pichai has acknowledged that he supports some degree of content censorship and regulation of misinformation, asserting that these actions can serve a greater good. This position starkly contrasts with the American First Amendment ethos, which champions the idea that the free exchange of ideas, even those that may be controversial or unpopular, is a cornerstone of democracy. Pichai’s stance is a vivid reminder that cultural perspectives on issues like free speech are diverse and can greatly influence one's approach to governance and business practices. His example underscores that possessing American citizenship does not necessarily equate to embodying all traditional American values. This complexity is essential for understanding the multifaceted nature of cultural integration and how globalization influences corporate leaders' views and actions. So, when discussing how ingrained cultural differences are, even among those born or living in America, examples like Sundar Pichai illustrate that such divergences in core values like free speech can have significant implications for broader societal norms and policies.

As someone in Vivek's parents' shoes, as a brown individual in the US, I'll say this: no race of people can fully and completely get rid of their prejudices. The impossibility of races to reconcile to that final extent, shows up as insensitivity. That is never going to change. You will see a lot more of this prejudice in other countries, including my own country. Most immigrant brown people couldn't care less about the prejudice though. We came here to make a better life for ourselves and possibly to contribute to both our native and our adoptive countries.

You don’t understand Hinduism .For a Hindu upholding ‘dharma’ superseed over your personal belief or what you called religion and ‘rashtra dharma’ is one of the primary dharma of a Hindu which is loyality towards your country you born in .
You democrats demonise hinduism by supporting pislamists
@@TheKhabar360 hardly anyone in the US understands hinduism and even fewer care.
😂
@calvinhoward3808 what comment is being made the point was for hindu serving nation is dharma and being part of republican party doesn't mean you're anti patriot
Vivek Ramaswamy is the real deal❤
Do you know how many Ann Coulter live in USA.. .MILLIONS.
people who prefer american origins and culture? yep millions and millions, for now at least. less if you people got your way
I'll take "I'm a closeted racist for $500 Alex" 😂
Ann Coulter is an "uppity phony Conservative". She thinks that her "wordy" bullshit flies with everyone. Not impressed and NEVER HAVE BEEN. I didn't like her back then and I still can't stand that woman. I agree with VIVEK 💯 about his thinking, and RESPECT him too. I'm a brown woman and my family is definitely mixed. And I don't see skin color, I have always had a diverse group of friends. I'm not a racist and skin color doesn't define a person. God help us in 🇺🇸
@@wasdwasdedsfAmerican origins and culture is Native American not white people
@@wasdwasdedsfwhy doesn’t Vivek have American Origin or culture, he was born here.
With how pale Ann Coulter looks, I think she'll even want to exclude white people who have a tan.
😂
That explains why she didn’t want trump either 😮
😂
😂😂😂😂😂
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Ann represents the views of a vast majority. They show it at the polls.
So what you are saying is that there are a lot of "RACIST PEOPLE" in America??? Hmmm?!
I really respect her for speaking her mind, NOT that I agree with her on the things that She said. There is a difference. . What I would like her to say or do is to give us CLEAR CUT LAID OUT REASONS why She thinks that she will NOT VOTE for a Black American or an Indian American. I want to hear the VICES of her reasons and I will be able to determined if they are LEGITIMATE enough to agree with her and then allow People running in offices to WORK on those Vices( always remember there is NO Perfect People we just want a good person)Or we get to see that those VICES are also Present in other People she would consider as VIRTUES and maybe she is WRONG. What I would like to Say is that People Should be WILLING to CALL out the WRONGS that they get to easily call out in others. ✌️❤️🙏
@@mariamajabbie9010You should listen to the whole interview. She lays it out clear and have for years. This is Ann Coulter’s and to be honest many Americans white and Black (non-immigrant) views on the country. WASP and American Slaves built America. Immigrants who came later, didn’t fight in wars, aren’t owed anything, though they’re given more now than ever, and if you can’t make it on your own you should go back to your country of origin. Think of the opposite happens. WASP and American Slaves descendants go to England, demand to be called English and given equal rights to English citizens without contributing to the society. And no paying taxes isn’t patriotism. So your view is wrong she would vote for a Black American who has contributed to the building of the country. Black Americans have on average 20% “WASP” blood. On the interview she defended Obama from Vivek’s attack on him because Obama has more WASP blood than Vivek. And therefore she wouldn’t vote for anyone who just arrived, which most Americans agree with her on that point but most won’t admit it out loud like her.
@@mariamajabbie9010 Love your thought process but would be too much like right for majority of America to do the right thing.
like the racist democrats that always judge the personal affiliations not the policies. very few modern conservatives think her way
Ann Coulter has huge balls for saying what every minority says and does on the regular - preferring your own people.
Many of the founding fathers were not Christian.
they weren't even WASPs. i wonder what Thomas Jefferson would say about this whole thing?
The founding fathers didn't even want non whltes to vote. That's why only whlte LAND OWNERS could vote then. The founders wanted this to be a anglo nation. They were not pro diversity. Almost all our social issues were over diversity. Even a civil war over it.
Mind Begs the Question:
- If Christianity forbids Homosexuality
- If a State (Govt/Clergy) approve Same Sex marriage
- Christian State or Anti-Christ State?
Agreed so rare to see someone comment this. Thomas Jefferson. Deist.
not many the the few were cultural Christians with diestic fews, none were atheist and all were of British isle stock.
