  • Somali or Reer xamar rice
    Ingredients:
    1 kg lamb, chopped
    1/2 kg rice
    1/3 cup of oil
    Some cardamoms
    Cinnamon sticks
    Bay leaves
    Black pepper
    Garlic
    Some gloves
    2 teaspoons of Maggie
    Food colouring
    For the shiitni sauce:
    1 can of tomatoes
    2 cloves of garlic
    1:4 slice of onion
    1-2 green chili
    2-3 teaspoons of tamarind sauce
    1 1/2 teaspoon of Maggie or salt
    For the shiitni qumbo (spicy coconut)
    100g of desiccated coconut
    1 clove of garlic
    1/4 slice of onion
    2 green chili
    Lemon juice
    Salt
    1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
