Revell 1:72 pirate ship display case - cheap and easy to make

Here is a model sailing ship display case that is easy to make without special tools and is cheap to buy but looks good. Complete with LED lighting. My carpentry skills are not good enough to make a nice top and base so I used picture frames. Thick perspex is expensive and difficult to cut exactly for smooth edges (my skill level) so I used cheap thin 2 mm perspex and joined with wooden angles. In my opinion the overall result looks quite good.

Thanks, the frames make it look much better than I could have achieved without special cutting equipment. Only cost me about £40

I got the idea from someone else, it saved a lot of time and effort also hides my lack of joinery skills
