+txsviking Thanks for that. It was a classic 'easy fix' and not what I was expecting given the history of the car. It's good when things go in your favour... Currently on with a water pump replacement on a 2003 Ford Falcon XR6 so video should be up by the weekend :-)
Hi Andy! Thanks for the video. I have Suzuki Alto 2010, but the 800cc model .I was wondering if the fuel filter is located in the same place because I'd like to replace it myself. Do you know if all versions have it in the same place?
+enzoumaguma Hi, I'm guessing yours will be fuel injection rather than carb so the filter could be anywhere between the tank and fuel rail. Some manufacturers even put the filter inside the fuel tank now. It will most likely be metal too and not plastic. Hope this helps. Cheers Andy
I checked the car and you're totally right! It is metal and it's next to the fuel tank. I think that by following your video I can do the replace myself. My question is if there are any previous steps I should follow, like disconnecting the battery before removing the old filter for example? Thanks for your reply!
I don't think you'll need to disconnect the battery if all you are doing is a filter change. Though make sure the ignition is off! When you disconnect the first pipe there will be a residual pressure (or there should be!) So maybe put a rag over the connector and wear some eye protection too.. Glad to be of help. Cheers Andy
+muhammad mudasar Hi Muhammad, currently I don't have any plans to strip down and rebuild the carb on the little Alto as its working fine. If it does develop a fault then most definitely I'll have to do a video covering the task. I suggest you download a copy of the Suzuki workshop manual from the Internet before you make a start as they can be quite complex with many small parts and adjustments to perform during the assembly. my. car carborator have three wire. two of them are connected one is not. i m confused where that will go ... i have. tested that wire voltmeter showing 0.3 or 0.5 as rpm go up num get higher .... black wire with white strip on .... can you just show or suggest me some thing
