I have 70 pages to go and like it a lot. Donna Tartt is a master of suspense and characterisation. The story seems mostly real, not corny or far fetched despite the unlikely story line. I think it is deep in the way it shows how character is formed and how people deal with or don't deal with loss. It is a great gift that she can make you feel for and side with what might be viewed as bad people. I enjoyed your review.
