I bought my Everything Bee Vacuum from you at the Bee Expo in Louisville, KY in January and I think it’s amazing!! So easy and for a 60 year old to manage. Thank You For Creating This!!!
Thank you Carolyn! Countless hours/days/weeks/months/years have gone into the design to make it what you have. Our goal is to take as much of the 'work' out of doing removals, and replace it with "FUN". Sounds like it's doing that!
I just received my unit this evening and I'm more than impressed. As someone who's tried to create a "nice and easy" bee vac and only ended up with an "it'll do" this thing is stellar Between the swiveling nozzle head, the girthy hose and this little controller with the easy read battery life indicator I'm already convinced that I'll never end up breaking the unit I've been using out of the bee barn again. Oh and the fact that its BATTERY POWERED and a backpack? you had me drooling before I had my hands on one but now that its here?? Very happy customer thanks tony
Very interesting unit. I was disappointed that I didn't have the time to visit with you and see it in person at Hive Life. A six hour battery life is definitely impressive. Thank you for sharing and I wish you all the best. I'm understanding why Mr. Ed finds it beneficial for cutouts.
Good morning Frederick! Thank you. Hive Live had so much to see, it was amazing. I have been improving the design for about 5 years, and now it has every feature you could want. Yet it's simple enough for a beginner to benefit as well as a professional to use daily. Note, I love my africanized bees down here in Texas and have developed my own method of caring for them, which is part of why the vacuum has to be super-capable. I look forward to meeting one day.
@@tonyandric4380 If you'll be at Hive Life 2024, I hope you'll be willing to do an interview with me :) I ran into Steve Repasky last Saturday and he called me out of a lecture hall just so show me your hive-vac. I was impressed, and he loves it!
@@FrederickDunn Hi Frederick. I do plan to be there and would love to do the interview. Honestly, once you've used my vac a single time, no other vac compares. Might also look at a second chat talking about managing mean bees. I'm in central Texas and AHB genetics dominate, and I've taught a class at several schools covering how to safely manage them.
@@FrederickDunn I need to update that... we don't have Gen 2 any more, we now sell Gen 2.5, and we are running only about a week behind on. I've got 3 guys building them for me and barely am keeping up!
I posted this on the old video by accident. : I LOVE this vacuum. I just used it for the first time and only 3 bees died in the vacuum. I’m so impressed.
It was nice meeting and talking to you at the Bee Alive Beekeeping Conference in Slidell Louisiana yesterday. It may be next spring before I get to use mine. Hope to see you in Kentucky.
I use my bee vac gen 2 for the first time today. I had high hopes for this vac and it was fantastic. So easy on the bees and the bee keeper. I have looked at other designs and thought about building one myself. Glad I didn't waste time doing that. One removal and it has more than paid for itself!
I just ordered mine today. So tired of my box it big awkward and kills about half my bees bc of my vacuum with too much pressure Will return and let you know once I get to use it on a hive
There really is very little that I plan to change. Gen 2.5 has evolved from a number of improvements that make it absolutely fantastic. I'm not planning to add a flying drone to levitate it and a phone app, so you can do removals from your recliner. I'm sure there will still be more little changes I'll want to make. But here's the sad truth, here are the 'real' changes I fear will come to it: it will be required to have a 'vaccine-safe' sticker and add a '0' to the end of the price due to all of my component costs going up, if I can even get them. For example, I had to redesign my control board with a new microcontroller because the one I used before had a lead time of 400 days. Ugh. If there is a Gen 3, it's at least a year away.
So many great ideas, from the back pack to the battery, and the speed adjustment on the chest. Dunno if I can afford one right now, but would love to have one of these eventually. How much are you guys charging for removals btw?
Tony I bought this two years ago and I love it .I have done over 100 cut outs with it .my vac head is not working anymore can I buy just another vac head? Thanks jon
