Incredible star power in this running of the Derby. This is the first Derby I have memory of watching. Fusaichi Pegasus went off at 5/2 and was a gift at that price.
I am really excited I get to have a meet and greet with Fupeg and have one of his bridles! Great horse and i feel so honored to meet him. I bid for this opportunity at a charity fund raiser. I am honored to honor this horse! Could not be more excited.

Fusaichi pegasus is the father of my best friends horse grace she is so fun to play with and ride she is so tall and her dad is amazing i think one day she will be like him she is so fast when she runs with my horse out in the pastures thats cool to think my best friends horses father is a kentucky derby winner
I have a stallion out of hiim. He was a 250,000 dollar keenland yearling purchase. I got him as a 6 year old after he had been bred and then gelded. He is my potential rolex horse never did anything at the track but hopefully will my a great event horse
i agree to an extent what your suggusting but FP did win the kentucky after being very inexperienced (curlin is an example the best horse in the derby but inexperience beat him) and he won this derby in such an easy manner he was never ever really asked a serious question!!! he did get exposed afterwards but i have no doubt that this horse was above average winner of the kentucky derby
Fusaichi Pegasus is a textbook example of what's wrong with racing. There's nothing here that suggests that he's a superhorse - which was sadly confirmed in the Preakness. Yet some mark decides to pay a ridiculous amount to retire him to stud and he's retired from racing. His pratfall in the Breeder's Cup Classic was an appropriate end to his unremarkable career. One of the most overrated horses in recent memory.

I was just thinking the same thing. I’m guessing fatigue and bad ride in the stretch for Wheelaway. Was their an objection on the finish.

Fusaichi Pegasus was terrible he should have never been the favorite.
Fupeg was a dud in the breeding shed.
