It’s good to see you still have some metal halide (at least that’s what I presumed it was). Pulse start is more efficient than the old probe start, and the PSMH doesn’t seem to shift color temperature as much as the old probe start lamps. I don’t think we have any of the PL-L roadway fixtures in the US, but they are still popular in 2’ X 2’ recessed parabolic fixtures in indoor fixtures in commercial businesses. From what I had heard about them, they are a terrible light source when used in commercial indoor applications, because they get hot and can sometimes melt the lampholders in fixtures. When I was doing lighting retrofits on 2- foot X 2-foot, 9-cell parabolic fixtures for indoor applications, I would replace any PL-L or U-bent lamps with three F17T8 lamps, so the lamps were centered between the three rows of parabolic cells.
I hope in some Councils go to the LED retro fit lamps rather than swap all the lanterns in years to come i wonder? The 100w HPS fitting (globe type) in the UK this is a Urbis Saturn.
Thank you for this so much-well done too of course!!
Thank you!!

0:51 ahh these used to be everywhere where I live in England, but got changed to horrible leds unfortunately.
7:50 this lamp looks like less used, I didn't see big blackening above electrodes
Yeahh cdo-tt never really gets black like son-t bulbs, but it indeed looked really new. I doubt if this pole even works at night.
that indal 2500 had a very old lamp in there it must have been good quality then
Yeahh some PL bulbs can work for more than 10 years!
Why not cleaning the luminaire glasses?
We mostly clean them but this city is likely to swap all their fixtures out with led in not too long so yeahh
@@thelamppostchannel ok, this is a good argument 👍. When are you changing? Is there a fixed interval or only replacing faulty ones?
The street light fixtures you think ate unknouwn maybe is a Selux Urbi or maybe is a Super Saturn made by Schréder GIE group

I don't think it'll be happening for this city since it has a lot of outdated fixtures
@@thelamppostchannel That is a shame!
Job like this in uk you have to have a viz vest, hardhat and a harness
Nice video!
Die Schréder Saturnus armatuur lijkt me een rot ding om een lamp in te vervangen.
4:45 I love indal arcs
7:21 Whats the name of the song?
Plaza Winds, by Death's Dynamic Shroud
