Wow! To come across this on a random night watching videos on the Internet...What an amazing time in my life! This was an everyday thing at EMB. PAY HOMAGE RESPECT! You will always see these guys whenever watching skateboarding. It wouldn't be what it is today without them. The whole EMB Crew! Thanks for the memories. Never lose sight of your goals, desires and dreams. You might not know how close you were to attaining them...
yes it my account. I started shooting EMB with a canon 8mm camera, but the footage above was shot with a Canon A1 Digital, I had a fish-eye adaptor (that's the vignette) and that's about it. I am pretty stoked on the shoes too, they look excellent. there will be more footage.
I love studying up on skating like the world industries thing and The gonz thing and who can forget the GUY,CHICO,RICK HOWARD,MIKE CARROL AND OTHERS thing so funn reading up on it also kareem, daewon, daniel castillo
Skateboarding used to be so raw, now its jaded and bastardized by lil emotional kids in girl pants and pink bracelets and shit, makes me sick, atleast theres still some rawness to it, its to bad those kids will never feel what that it is.
argh!! i cant ollie to manual n 50-50 , i've been skating for 6 months , all i kno is ollie , caveman :/ i'm so frustrated i cant even do a nose manual
the mane none of the stuff they are skating survived as it was demolished in 1999 or 2000. the place however looks the same with imprints on the ground where the stairs/stage/ledges they skated in the video used to be.

History right there - thanks for posting. Made the pilgrimage out there in'94, met Karl, Keenan & other heads
these videos are so much better than what comes out now. makes you just wanna go out and have fun.
this place was practically a skatepark i wish i was around to skate there in its glory days
1:19 so switch frontside board to backside 180 ollie to nose. Crazy!
I love watching old EMB footage!
James Kelch. EMB Legend
Excellent footage! Please post up more. You should make a 2-hour dvd out of this stuff, I'd sure buy it!
Soo stoked that you're putting up all these vids on the net man, thanks.
Mike was straight crushing Embarcadero
Wow. The good ol' days. I remember writing a Check Out for Tony. I can't remember if it ever got published though.
is it any wonder MC is so slick on a skateboard. EMB looks like it was fun as hell. Legendary spot man. RIP.
In SF by the bay, it was in Justin Herman Plaza.
dam. i wish they remade EMB
Sick man, never seen emb before it's awesome!!!
wow! awesome, you never got to see the whole spot like that in the old videos. Definately a new perspective (for me anyway)

sanch with the bigspin flip board break.
This would be 1990 or 91 at the latest. Carroll is riding an H-Street deck and Henry was Pro for Real. So I would say 91.
he was about to smash his board there at the end
the only thing i got to skate at embarcadero was the 5 stair and shit and ledges and stuff.
San Francisco was such a beautiful pristine city in the 90s. Like a cross between San Diego and NYC
Damn those ledges look dry as fuck and they still managed

halonelywayfarer skateboarding sure has changed even since your comment published haha

does anybody know where i can find a good video of the gonz gap?
Can somebody pick up my jaw???

Best guess is 1991.
what happned to it
what happened to all the nice stairs there :(
BobbySKeight they were demolished in 1999 or 2000
I believe it was 91
all these blocks are gone ...
argh!! i cant ollie to manual n 50-50 , i've been skating for 6 months , all i kno is ollie , caveman :/ i'm so frustrated i cant even do a nose manual
wtf james kelch?
who si the guy with the green t-shirt?
skate stopped then it got demolished
Not brothers, but possibly.
Too bad no more skateboarding at EMB anymore...
Quick question, how did you make the camera shoot video with the circular lens around the edge?
Fisheye lens
@jacob43 Is EMB still skatable? It looks pretty smooth.
Kevin McCallister nope the place still exists but the stuff they are skating was demolished in 1999 or 2000.
already did
how is it diffrent
