Well done getting it back on the road. I did something similar with a Laro prostreet 350. Was such a fun little bike. Makes me want to get another cruiser styled bike.
Roads Of Oz it was on the road for literally this ride, now it’s in pieces in my garage getting. It’ll be a bigger challenge getting it back on the road this time around haha
New sub. I bought a 1989 XV250 this past May and have been enjoying it as a custom. I did the 17/38 sprocket change here (South Carolina USA) then custom paint (Rattle can with 2k clear) Viking Saddle bags. More to come but been busy riding it lol. Enjoy and keep up the fun work.
Thanks for the sub Charles! Appreciate it a lot man. Nice one dude! How does that gearing go now? I haven’t brought the sprockets yet, it’ll be the next thing I buy. I’ve got all kinds of stuff lined up for this little bad boy. It’ll be a very different bike when I’m done with it
@@EasyDoesitmoto The gearing I have opened the bike up. It made it rideable in my location. I rode with a pack of riders 230 - 250 for a charity run and had no issues keeping up with my H-D brothers and sisters. The fastest I saw at one point was 85mph or 136kph. If you have a lot of hills I would say try the 17/40 set up. Even better get the 17 first and see the difference it makes then calculate the rear 45-38. I am an old phart and disabled so I had to get a small light weight bike and this worked perfect for me. The XV250 has the same (or close to it) as an Iron 883 just a smaller engine and a whole lot lighter. Me and the bike weight together as much as an Iron 883 alone.
@@charlesdwilson2112 yeah good call! I might try the 17 front and see how it goes. So glad your out there on two wheels mate! The purpose of this bike is to try and get some people I know into riding, by offering them a light and non threatening bike to ride on, while also scratching my itch to chop something up haha.
Hi My Fair Prince 🥰👋👋👋. This is how excited I am 🤷🏻♀️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😬😬😬😬😬🙄🤪. All I could picture the whole time was a 🐌 with its cockeyed antlers (or is it their eyes 🤷🏻♀️🤔🤔🤔) being the hammocks’ mirrors 🤷🏻♀️🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪. (I know 🙄🙄🙄 ..... I don’t understand where I get this stuff from either 🤷🏻♀️😬😬😬😂). This is gonna be awesome to this build happen!!!!! 👏👏👏👏 Cya 👋👋👋👋🏃🏻♀️💨

New sub here. I came across you from The Harley Roadshow. I have always thought about doing a project bike. I'll be back to check out more of your stuff soon. Great video!
Nice to have you here mate, Cheers for the sub! I was thinking about a project bike for years. My advice, just jump into it! As you can see you don't need to spend a lot of money to get into it. I plan to finish this one and to start looking for another one almost straight away. Getting bigger and better each time

It lives! Reminds me of Soph’s Honda Shadow 125, so much fun. Can’t wait to see the build mate!
dad_and_mad I think I’m going to start ripping into it tomorrow, I’m still not sure how I’m going to film the episodes, but I’ll work it out as I go.
Woohoo she runs
Throttle Downunder yeah mate! Runs pretty good considering how it looks and how long it was sitting before I got my grubby mitts on it
@@EasyDoesitmoto haha awesome mate. I can't wait
Throttle Downunder me too mate! Making a start on it tomorrow!
