@@EasyDoesitmotoyes I Did, love the tank and how it came out all toguether. Just a suggestion, consider in the future hidding all the cables inside the apehanger for an even clutter free look and convert the clutch leaver into a twist one like exile chopper mitchell does. I used to own this bike but sold it !! Big mistake Cheers mate watching all the way from Ecuador.
Looks really good man!! Compared to where it was to what it is now! Nice job man! Looking forward to seeing the final product! Subbed 👍. BTW, Rob from Throttle Downunder sent me!
I am late to this party but wow man, nice work. Most guys just hack the fender off and call it done. Am I seeing the carb mounted at 90 degrees from the "stock" position?
Thanks man! That fender is a plastic one for a sportster that I got off eBay for $16. After we painted it and ran it for a while, it started to crack. So I ended up getting a steel one from tc bros, and mounting it with a sissy bar. It’s a much more solid set up. Have a look at the reveal video to see how it looks now
Hey bro random question but how exactly did you extend the coil pack to the bottom of the seat ? Did you just get a random wire set for the Front cylinder?
All good bro feel free to ask whatever questions you want! I knew where I wanted them to go but hadn’t seen anyone do it, so wasn’t sure if it was possible. What I ended up doing was just splicing in an extra length of copper core ignition lead and insulating the f##k out of the joins. Has worked perfectly and the spark is just as strong as the other coil. If you want photos of anything, send me a message on Instagram and I’m happy to send photos of everything and help out where I can
hey! Awesome build mate. did you had any issues with the vacuum system removal? I was thinking about changing the carb in my XV250 and put a PZ30 instead, it would look cooler with the side air intake (like the Honda's VLX or HD's), but I heard that it fries the engine since it deletes the vacuum lines and so
Thanks dude it was a fun little bike to build! There were a few kinks to work out, like playing with the air/fuel mixture, but most of the issues I had were to do with the tank and where the pickup is located. It’s a little high on the tank, and as there is no vacuum pressure and all the fuel is gravity fed, so it stops picking up fuel when the tank is about 1/3 full. I also wanted to change the carb, but couldn’t find a side mount intake, so I just left it. Hopefully that was helpful, if you have any more questions I’m happy to help
Sick build man! Can't wait to see the end result! A few questions regarding tuning - what's your A/F mixture screw set at? And needle position? Also, any change in jets? 😅 Watching from NZ 🇳🇿
Hey Stan glad you’re liking it mate! Everything to do with the carby is standard apart from the A/F mixture. I believe standard is 2.5 turns out, I think I’m running 3. Apart from that it’s all stock. Idk if that’s helpful at all, but any other questions fire away! Haha
Reminder set!
Stone the crows !! He lives 🤘
100% not dead haha. Last year was crazy, this year will be different 👌🏼
Looking awesome Easy, keep the banana yellow 😬😀🤘🏻
