I just fixed my own Denon CD player while following along. The tray would close as soon as it opened. Great to see the disassembly documented here. Thank you!
Thank you very much for this video! I was able to buy a new V-belt for the same CD player and change it thanks to your instructions. Everything is running perfectly again! How great, instead of producing scrap, I was able to repair it! Super!
Superb troubleshooting video! This has helped me repair a 21 year old Denon UD-M30 CD player drawer problem. The latch on the underside is slightly obscured by a rubber foot, which is easy enough to remove.
This man is a godsend!! My denon cd player had this issue but was a different model. Bought pack of belts from amazon and fixed a hifi I've loved for many years. Now more to come. Thank you buddy
Just been given this hifi with the cd doing the same thing the amp goes very well. I have ordered a belt as was able to load a cd and it went. looks like a nice system. the video help a lot
Hi Steve, thank you for this excellent video. I just ordered a belt for my DENON. However I am a little perplexe that the central motor which I guess has to spin the CD is not reacting when I press on play. Is that normal because the tray is dismounted ?
I have this same issue with a different model. But cd tray won't open. When I press eject I hear the motor but doesn't open and stops. The cd that's stuck in there won't play. Do you think it will also be the belt on mine? Many thanks and great video
Is there any trick to disconnecting the ribbon cable for the display (connector on the right around 2:00) I am trying to replace the laser in my unit and I'm not sure how to disconnect this part

Grazie per aver postato il video. Provvederò in autonomia alla riparazione. Saluti dall 'Italia. 👌.

Good Morning, and another great repair.
You are real master steve 👍
Good morning Sir
all going
so it looks like the optical pickup works opposite of a vinyl record out side in optical inside out to last track when reading never knew that
It does read from the middle out at a constant linear velocity (CLV). Meaning the data passing the laser is always at the same speed.
@@norcal715 good to know steve thanks for the video!

6:38 whoa! this laser needs deep cleaning 😨😨
Another Great video! DM Holdings markets similar models of that player,or did, under the Marantz Brand...Saul Marantz would be spinning in his grave .
Unfortunately they are designed to a price point, not to a quality point any mode.
Sir I have changed the belt but when open or close the disc tray it get stuck.please tell me solution??
👍👌
What pil do you use??

Yes, it's the belt that's stretched and needs replacing.
