Truly spoken @Tracy Johnson...Both music and women were 'class'. There's nothing to describe that era, let alone match it. The music was what it was...'MUSIC". Violins, bass, guitars, cymbals and whatever else that made a melody. Keep remembering...and stay safe!
This lady is awesome she actually played at my 70s themed 21st bay she sang and partied with me and my friends and my parents simply love this music and I thank them for interducing to this awesome 🎶and there's nobody of today genre of music that can even come close .. I love music and this has put a smile on my face today..
Our time on this earth is slowly passing for those of us who lived through this era and this great music was a part of the story of our lives . I still listen today
I remember this song as well, because this came out while I was still in high school back in 1974. For the longest time I had been wondering if there was a longer version of "Doctor's Orders". Well, thanks to the mighty Disco Cat, there is now. And it sounds even better. Thank you for getting my weekend off to a good start. Be safe, I beg of you. There are still some great tunes and hits out there well deserving of the Disco Cat treatment. Just my humble opinion.
Top of the day to you. Right Back at ya. I agree with you 1000% WOW😅 What's Up 👍 WORD 👍 It's been such a long long time ago. Hey this music is Incredibly, definitely, unforgettable, magnificent, elegant ,Superb ,Unique, Incredible. This is my opinion There will never be any other Music to take the replace of Disco . No way no how hands down. This music is Priceless . Any way thanks for letting us share our thoughts with you. I appreciate it very much. Have a bless day or night 🙏 JAH LIVES ONE LOVE ❤️ PEACE FAITH HOPE JOY GRACE TOO YA Keep on 💃 Gotta Boggie now 💃🙋CHOW U are a shinning 💥🤩🎤🎧📻🔊😁 Thanks DJ 😻 It's all about U are a shinning 💥🤩 ALWAYS 🤗
Back in the day, 1974, I definitely admired this fresh and lovely beauty. I first observed her on "Soul Train" sing this classic. Great voice and talent, that I enjoyed. Thank you for posting this. Great times and memories. !!!
I’m 61. Takes me back to 14 years old! What a great edit DCat! Excellent work! And oh so sweet to the ears, heart, and soul! Thank you for that but of nicely reworked joy! 👍🏻✌🏻🌈🥂🍾❤️
I know I know. I'm 67 and there's nothing we can do to go back. I know, I tried everything...Be thankful to the God you believe in. He allowed you (and me) to live and have fun and dance in the most beautiful era of all time. Only those who were there dancing the night away can understand that.
Are you serious? you can't get to see a doctor but I enjoyed listening 🎧 to this song I have to sit down now after dancing to doctors orders thank you so much for sharing god bless to all ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🎵🤗👀🔥🔥🍀
Another AM radio favorite! Had a non-stop disco hits album in which some other high beats-per-minute segued perfectly into Doctor's Orders. Nice to see it used in "The Last Days of Disco" motion picture back in the '90s.
Fabulous remix of one of the iconic classic disco songs, I could listen to your version on an endless loop. Those were the days, Makes a great mix with Gloria’ s Never Can Say Goodbye.
I know this is basically a love song, BUT imagine my surprise seeing this post after being down and out for 2 weeks for what the doctors say is a heart issue! Thanks for this great mix and YES, I’m following Dr’s Orders! I just need some Dr Love right now! ❤️✔️😎
This is a great song with tremendous climb in it. The notes climb up. the instruments increase, the background voices climb to a creshendo climax within the song. Someone should try remaking it today with 100 background singers and an large 50 piece orchestra with a couple of tubas and a brass Section several drummers and big symbols coming into it near the end to make the climax very loud and unmistakable.
Never heard this song before, but I’d say this is a really nice mix. It really flows nicely! If I didn’t know this was something you did, I would think that it was an official 12” mix.
I do remember lucky 13 , the antenna was on the right hand side of the bay Bridge heading to SF. Do you remember KSOL San Mateo ? I graduated in 74 also 😅
DiscoCat, thank you very much for this one !!! a very nice teen chic told me this when I was in junior high here in TJ Mex., and I still here, this one hit me real good !!! DiscoCat muchas gracias por esta pieza !!! una chica hemosa me dijo eso cuando estaba en la secundaria aquí en Tijuana Mex., yo sigo aquí y esta de verdad que me llega hondo !!!
awesome extendet Version well done funny for me Sounds a bit like Philadelphia"s Gamble/Huff recordings but nothing to mention on it.....???? Neverless love the Power/Speed of the song...? Great Classic not too slow......
As a french Canadian, I also remember the french version of this song from 1975 by Anne Renée. She was married to René Angélil (Céline Dion's husband) at the time. The name of the french song is "Le docteur m'a dit" (The doctor told me).
another piece of trivia about times...look at BS&T GHs CD and will find most if not all the times they have listed are totally wrong. i found this out when i was burning them into my computer years ago.
I am so in love with you since I wake up in the morning I think of you how beautiful and great of a person that you are always taking care of us love u Sheila serrano
Back in the early 1990's, I was interviewed for a financial job by the co-owner of a small record label. When I saw the producer's name at 0:04, it brought back memories as that was the guy! I never knew Ed produced this smash hit. I just did a little research to refresh my memory, and suddenly remembered his label was Next Plateau Records. I also never knew at the time he was the co-founder of Midland International Records! Back then, the internet was in its infancy with AOL dialup being our main outlet, no Wikipedia, and search engines did not elicit this voluminous amount of information. It's quite different from today, when an interviewee can walk in with the history of the company and his interviewer at his fingertips.
THIS SONG IS A TRUE HANDBAG DROPPER. IN THE DISCOS OF MANCHESTER ENGLAND IN THE 70s THE GIRLS WOULD "CIRCLE THE WAGONS" DROP THEIR HANDAGS I SAID HANDBAGS AND DANCE AROUND THEM.DISCO WILL NEVER DIE
I remember this disco hit during my high school days. Awesome memories. 👌
I am 62 and i am still dancing this album!
I remember this song when I was little. They don't make music like this anymore.
they don't make "music" period...it's all crap and the "dance" music today has that same thump thump beat....nothing beats songs pre '90!!!
That is so true !
Sad but so true. Songs like this will last forever.
Truly spoken @Tracy Johnson...Both music and women were 'class'. There's nothing to describe that era, let alone match it. The music was what it was...'MUSIC". Violins, bass, guitars, cymbals and whatever else that made a melody.

Fondest memories, about the Saturday nights dancing, with this kind of 🎵🎶 music

1975
One of the early disco hits - sold me on the genre.
