Looks awesome! I have modified the stock trans for speed and it's a fun speed for 2s 180 brushed. I want to do this brushless thing for sure. I made mine 2wd "prerunner style" just put the metal upgrades on minus the front shaft and gears. Traction rolls alot less in 2wd. Maybe a open diff mod?
Your videos are what inspired me to do this! Planning to test out some of the phone GPS apps once I get the stability problems sorted out. Thanks for the sub 👍🏻
Ah. Found it. I came here from another video to find out how much motor is absolutely too much... 3900kv is absolutely too much for me. Even half your speed would be nasty so I guess shoot for the 1000-1500kv motor range when I get to that portion? Sound about right? That's still stupid fast. Again, even 1/3 or 1/2 of your truck speed is absolutely way faster than I can handle (by that I mean that the truck clearly just rolls itself, so i'm trying to keep power in spec to truck chassis capability) Edit: You lowered the speed with gearing even further. Geez. Definitely going to shoot for 1000kv area... probably still be stupid fast for my purposes. This was very informative. I was also over at the Tomley RC Garage channel watching theirs and realizing my plan had some serious "this will explode when you turn it on" potential.
Planing on making a WPL monster/mud truck. Ima be running brushless in it and I don't know if I should use the gear reduction thing that comes with the metal gear box. I don't want a stupid fast truck. But I want a decent speed that has a decent amount of power for mud.
Yep, I have seen your videos before. I recall you used to have different shocks that look to be the same as what came on my cheap 1/18 scale crawler from Amazon. How did those perform compared to the ones you have now?@@supastihl89
@@UnlimitedFizz no I did not but I took mine apart and it would be possible. I got a 20mn can that I think would work. I never did mine. Are you wanting to build one?
@@joshherrman3201 Thank you for your advice. In sort yes I'm would like too. I've just ordered the c44 which I think is a similar design 2 speed trans, I'm yet to see any of it in person but yeah I'm looking to go brushless, but I still want it to be a "crawler". Its just for the reliability really. How have you got on with you wpl or Wpl's? I hear mix opinions about them but for the price they are, you kind of expect a little tinkering every now and then haha. Thanks again!
@@UnlimitedFizz I like them i have 3. Honestly I put way more money into mine than I probably should have but I'm a Toyota guy. With some modifications they are fun to play with. I got rid of my 2 speed trans and have ran single speed in all 3 of mine. I used long ends 9n my shocks it got me more lift put blocks under the axles and used mn44 tires that are bigger.
@@joshherrman3201 which ones do you have? I love how scale they look! I will definitely be looking into those shocks I've noticed there a little bouncy stock, funny to watch though 😂
That's called cogging, its common with brushless motors and high gearing. Mine did it really bad. You can lower the gearing or I think sensored brushless systems can reduce it a lot, possibly eliminate it
I know the video is a year old but I just ordered a c24 and metal driveshafts that come out of the gearbox. I noticed they yours look like the same ones. Do they hold up well?
Sweet brushless! almost as fast as my brushed rcfam! I hope everyone makes the fastest so we can have a fun competition.. but Yeah you just have to accelerate smooth. Mine goes straight and smooth at 17mph so far..can run 4s too. I put a better 370 in the 2 speed.. well My problem is I can't find driveshafts to handle the power. It's lifted with bezgar 5 shocks so I have more angle. Would your typr driveshafts work for my setup? Here's my videoth-cam.com/video/q4ROUzkTC2w/w-d-xo.html

Hell ya dude. Love your setup would love to see more and learn about the pinion you used and stuff
Nice work dude....I have a Brushless B1 that tops out at 30km/h with the 2 Speed. Stick a GPS on that thing! +1 Sub 👍🏻

Awesome! Glad you found my videos! They certainly like to roll once you get then to a reasonable speed! Be interesting to know how fast that thing is!
nice job im going to try this out looks so much fun
Nice work
Man I love going out to pick up the pieces of my truck too lol. Way too fast for that suspension type dude.
You need a wheelie bar
Well it doesn't really need to crawl if it can fly lol

Any chance to make speed around 30-35km/hour like a Dakar rally car?

Sick truly sick
I recomend you
nice mod-ing!
Do you have a list of all your upgrades (and links)?
Well done bro. That is the good trans i don't like the 2 speed or anything plastic in the driveline is a 👎
Thanks man, I agree. I just can't count on plastic gears.

@@ilovejazz3s which ones. I have a white truck and a blue one
I'm not sure but they are blue plastic shocks with an external spring

Nice
But I don’t want top speed. But I do want to get that better transmission though for my WPL C24 truck.
If i use a 1400 kv motor will it be fun anyway?
if only a part had the good feel to hit the subscribe button...
YEASH!!
Have you tried to use the reduction unit with a brushless by chance? I'm not after top speed.
Me too! Did you ever get an answer for you question? Very curious 🤔

Can this still crawl or should just forget about it ?
I can't fit my 3mm shaft and my 20t gears what pinion do I use.thanks.
Hey, I tried this out and mine just sits there jittering till I push it then it goes full speed and flips over, do you know whats happening?

hello friend how are you, can you tell me the rpm of the 370 engine reduction?
good👍👍👍
Hey man I’m just wondering what type of esc and controller you are using for this set up?
Cheap eBay 60a esc, I think it was made by GoolRC. Transmitter is flysky gt3b
Omg hahaha I laugh so hard poor car🤣🤣🤣

Mine was SUPPOSED to arrive today but didn't. I'm hoping tomorrow. Can't wait!

I'm in Despite need of any spare parts for wpl gearbox. Anything will help! Just let me know on my channel! Thanks
No torque at all. Out of crawl. This is just for speed fun.
Where did you get the pinion gear?
Every part on that truck came from eBay
Motor size how many?
Pinion pake apa ?
Tho does it still crawl?
No, not at all. The cogging is pretty bad at low speed.
